Overall everything went well. The requesting of the original owner for the vehicle keys was never done as I was never notified of a reply.
1966 Buick Special review
Great all-around car. The 300 small block motor is pretty gutsy for its size, although the SuperTurbine 300 automatic transmission holds it back a bit. Power and economy would be better with a standard 3-speed, but I still get 16mpg city 21 highway. The choke is automatic, and the car never fails to start on the coldest mornings. Handling is nice and soft, and the power steering is light and doesn't transmit too much road vibration. The interior is well designed and its materials are durable. No creaks or rattles at high speed. The seats are very comfortable, and the solid-state radio is very good at bringing in far away stations. The car can seat six people without feeling too cramped. I do wish the passenger fresh air vent could be opened or shut from the driver's position; like on Chrysler cars. The trunk is large enough to feel at home on a full-size Electra, let alone an intermediate such as the Special-Skylark. It will easily fit all your groceries, luggage or whatever else you need to haul around. The car has been very reliable aside from usual maintenance. If you keep the timing, dwell, points, plugs and carb all set correctly, it'll pull away from stoplights with sufficient urgency, and sip a respectable amount of gasoline. This Buick seems to live up to its claims of being a tuned car. Overall I would highly recommend this model. It may be a few years old, but the styling has held up as well as the driveline. Don't let the salesman talk you into more expensive. Save money and get a reliable, fun car.

professional..however a lot of the cars they are selling don't run or need extensive work..it makes me feel the ads are a bit deceptive..not disclosing that info upfront..I wouldn't have wasted my time pursuing these vehicles
