I recently got a 2020 Equinox and there's a reason you see them everywhere. It's a great car that gets (somewhat) decent gas mileage. There's just a few issues I have with it. I've had to ride in the backseat of my Equinox a few times, whether I went out with friends and got slightly drunk or accidentally let my wallet go through the laundry. The point is… every time I have ever ridden in the backseat of the car, I always hit my head on the part where the roof meets the door. I'm 5' 10", which is an average male height, and yet, literally every single time I've ever been in the back seat of my car or in the back seat of an Uber ride that also drove a new-ish Chevy Equinox or similar car, I've hit my head on the headliner when the car turns. I also frequently use this car to transport my younger siblings who don't have a license or are in the process of getting one, and some of them have the same complaint. There's also not a lot of leg room in the back of the car, and again, I am about average male height. Two of my siblings are also around the same height as me. Also, this car is only five years old and the ABS light is already on. Now, this is not a huge deal, but my mom had an older GMC Acadia that she drove for about a decade before any warning lights appeared on her dashboard. Her car's ABS sensor never failed. Anyway, all in all, the newer Chevy Equinox is a really good car and I can see why it's the #1 choice for soccer moms.

We purchased this car used from Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston, RI, with 1yr warranty. Unfortunately within 1 week of purchase we noticed driver door wasn't properly installed. Dealer refused to fix it. Will never go back to that dealership

15,000 miles when I bought it, and just got 96,000. Nothing except oil changes, brakes and tires. Going to replace spark plugs, vacuum pump, and battery before I hit 100,000 and I’ll be looking to put another 100,000 on it.

I purchase a CLK 350 from there a few years ago with 99,000 miles and today I’m still enjoying it. To me they don’t mind fixing the problem if you understand that this is a use Car lot and not all cars are perfect. At one time I went to Auction and j no ought sold cars. I understand Customer Satisfaction and they seem to do that. I took a friend there to get a vehicle she got a 2013 SUV Hyundai very clean she drove it the first day engine light came and they told her to bring back and they will look at it. Knowing this most use cars are “As Is” and they are will to work with you. She is a single mom doing Uber to survive and I believe this is the perfect car for her. I love the car, however, the maintenance team I had to work on the car was one star. I had my car serviced for an oil change for its 3 months change which was fine, but they wanted to charge $25 for wiper blades. lol I told them I was not going to pay and I had to see the guy who sold me the car and told no wiper blade last longer than 4 months. lol The car sheet said it came with NEW wiper blades. I had to do all the leg work and they didn't talk to the guys that sell the cars or any people on the other side. Why do they even have a "service center?"

Ask for frank. He took good care of me💯… bought a promaster and it drives perfectly fine !

I went into the dealership with very high hopes but very low expectations because I have some severe credit issues. Joseph Franklin greeted me at the door. He was very friendly and gave off a great vibe. During my appointment, people were pulling at him left and right from constant phone calls to in house interruptions. He handled every distraction with extreme patience and professionalism. Even though I couldn't get into the car that I had chosen online, Joseph showed me several options and made the process so pleasant. I went to Carmax on 4th of July. The place was not super packed, so that was great. We had a little 9th month old on tow, and were nervous that it would take us all day to shop. The only thing that took a lot of time was waiting for a sales man. Apparently, the new young guys at the front were more interested in flirting (yes flirting) with each other and playing around than realizing that we needed help or just plainly asking us if we were being helped. That really bothered me, as we wasted 30 mins just sitting dumb. The front desk girl was no help.. she was the one to tell us to sit and wait and then no where to be seen. Finally someone professional and extremely courteous walked by ... the service manager. He quickly apologized for our wait, and brought along Daniel Claudio. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOooooO thankful he did. Danny was professional, kind, humble, hard-working, and just all the way a pleasure to work with. He represented Carmax the way it should be. He took the details of what we were looking for and walked us around to cars that would fit our needs. A few weeks ago my son and I bought a 2016 Hyundai Sonata at CarMax of Southlake on Mt. Zion Road in Stockbridge GA. Our sales agent was an older gentleman named Jim Lowe. What a nice guy. Low key. Not pushy. So very patient. He was very knowledgeable about the various cars my son wanted to look at and understood what features he needed on the car. He never rushed us to get on to the next customer and was always willing to answer all our questions. (And he even knew the answers and didn’t have to go ask someone.) These are attributes that you don’t always find with used car salesmen. But Jim was different. CarMax is different. Such a large selection of cars that we found and with low or mid or high mileage. The financial process was painless as well. We went outside to go get his car and found it all washed and cleaned inside. It even had a full tank of gas and a HUGE yellow bow across the hood. Such a nice way to send off the customer. I highly recommend CarMax for your next car buying experience. Also, ask for Jim.
