Used Chevrolet S-10 trucks for sale near Smithfield, VA

I bought my ZR two S-10 four-wheel-drive brand new in 2002. It’s been a great truck. I had a new 4.3 motor installed just a couple years ago after my truck was stolen and found with the engine overheated and and blown head gasket. I just went ahead and put a route brand new motor in it and the truck is just like it came off the ship of showroom floor, this truck has been to canyonland Utah from Mojave desert in death Valley plus it’s been to the Rubicon in California. I’ve had very few problems with my truck up in the past 20+ years. Yeah I believe I could still sell my truck close to $10,000 and it would be a value at that. I love my S 10.

I’ve had my s10 since I was 15 (21 now). I bought it for $450 from a junk yard and have been building it up ever since. Engine and transmission rebuild, as well as pretty much everything else except for the AC!! Just drained out the old refrigerant and added new and blows colder then any car I’ve been in. Today I re-gapped the spark plugs and put an MDS ignition in it, which after all the years of driving her finally made the engine light go away. Love that little truck to death. Will be my 1st and last.

This has been my first vehicle and it's so easy to drive. Super fun too! Perfect for street driving around town and any small projects. It's super easy to park and it has excellent visibility out the back and sides. I've loved it and I'm sure you will too.

In September of this year I purchased a 2006 GMC Yukon Denali from Bud Lawrence Used Cars, this was a very unique purchase. I purshased my 2002 s10 4x4 crew cab pickup truck from an ex New York Yankee Catcher in 2021. This S10 has very comfortable front seats and rides very smooth in the city and highway. It absorbs bumps very well. Its an amazing value for the money compared to a new midsize pickup truck like the Chevy Colorado which cost close to $40,000.00 and $28,000.00 and up for a used midsize pickup truck.

I have a 20000 2.2 with manual trans that is pushing 300000 miles . I have had some minor usual repairers like alternator, starter , radiator but nothing major and it always starts .

Bought used low mileage years ago, now has 278000 on it. Mostly Hiway miles. Other than the usual parts, it's been very reliable. Hope for 300,000, then think about something else. Always has rode rough unless loaded, and the 2.2 isn't a powerhouse by any means. These little trucks are a little heavy (3200 lbs) so the 4 cylinder isn't really up to the task. That said, these really are trucks and not a toy. Still like mine!

I bought my 2002 S10 Brand New I paid 10,200 for it from Orielly Chevy here in Tucson,Az.The Truck has been with me for 20+ years..the only major thing I've had to fix was the A/C Compressor which included accumulator receiver etc. other than that only maintenance & parts that wear out have been replaced I've been offered $15,000 but I will not sell it at this point

I absolutely love my s10 I got ahold of a 2000 S10 Xtreme has 169449 miles on it at the moment it has really great gas mileage bealive it or not the 2.2 l4 has a bit of git up and go the Xtreme version is quite bumpy which you do feel ever bump in the road mine has the ZQ8 suspension in it but I highly recommend it if you like the xtreme version.

I've owned my S10 Tahoe since 1986. I special ordered it from the factory. It's been a great truck. The 2.8L has just enough power to stay out of trouble and never get stuck, and has been rock solid reliable for 36 years. I hunt, fish, tow a boat & cut firewood with it. It gets me where I need to go.

I bought it used and looked into numbers that this little 03 S10 has a regular LS step side extended body , it caught my eye because it had a SS hood and a Extreme front and back bumpers. After buying it i looked up numbers to find out that it has a SS drive train along with possi, and a Extreme chasse . Love that parts are everywhere.

Except for rust, going strong at 345,000 miles. Used for hauling firewood and scrap metal and building materials. More miles hauling loads than empty. Owned 13 yrs. Had 191,000 miles when purchased. 2.2 manual trans. Excellent in snow for 2wd

The S-10 was a great truck (I once owned an '89). I hope that this one lasts as long as the '89. Once the '89 started suffering from "Body Cancer - RUST" I knew that it would only be a matter of time before I would loose the battle to save the truck. I sold it on craigslist. The fellow hat bought it said, he was going the remove the body and the truck bed, and install another one from an S-10 that had a bad engine.

Upgraded from my 1999 Toyota Tacoma. This truck so far seems to be a little sturdier, my Toyota was a good little truck until I started working out of it seemed like every day there's something going wrong or falling apart tailgate falling apart exhaust manifold leak terrible ride and for a unknown reasons would just pop out of 5th gear fortunately I never blew up the motor. My S10 has that little 2.2 l very turkey motor handles a blowed much better than my Tacoma and this far I have 169 MI the only thing I've done is change the oil spark plugs and transmission fluid. Has a much sportier drive to it. If you're looking for a little get around town truck I highly recommend it.

Love my truck. Great truck in every way with 71,000 miles. I hope to drive it till I die. I’m a 69 year old female. Does great in the snow. I’ve never had any problems with it in any way.

I got my 03 S10 in 2018 with only 49k miles on it from the original owner and i absolutely love it! It has 75k miles on it now but still runs the same as the day i bought it. With the leer fiberglass bed cover and dual Flowmaster pipes it definitely stands out from the others even though its the LS model 2wd single cab but with the 4.3 vortec it gets up and goes just fine. I baby her though lol, ive only done regular routine maintenance like oil changes, clean the k&n air filter, fuel filter, transmission and coolant flush. Things you have to do for every car/truck but other than that i haven't done anything and it just runs like a top. Never left me stranded and has always fired right up like it's brand new. I gotta say its not the best road trip truck but no one buys a s10 for long trips lol back and forth to work and errands around town i couldn't be happier! I definitely trust it for long trips but im 6'1 so it gets pretty uncomfortable after 4 or 5 hours of continuous driving so we just use our Toyota camry for trips. Gas mileage is average i suppose, 17-19 mpg so im not complaining. I have nothing but great things to say about this truck! I get compliments almost every time i drive it so thats a plus lol. If you can pick a s10 up im sure you won't regret it!
