I’ve had This Tahoe since I was 15 and it has been through xxxx and back, it has constantly surprised me with its durability and just rugged POWER. One time my and my pa where goin down a snow cover gravel road and in some sections there where massive mud slops under 6 inch thick ice. It powered through it with no problems, breaking through the ice and just chugging on. It’s also an amazing day to day vehicle, I’ve used almost my entire high school career and it’s just been amazing. Other than a few interior fix-ups it has been perfect!

Customer service was above and beyond. Also probably fastest paperwork I’ve gone through in buying a car. Definitely will come here if I need to buy or sell.

Extremely reliable even 23 years later. This Tahoe was built for impact and rough terrain. The bottom heavy feature prevents tipping and hydroplaning. The original body style can sustain the impact of a sedan or small truck with minimal damage. It is a great first vehicle for your kid if you are worried about them driving on the highway. These tahoes have outlasted many newer models that came after them. People are still buying them today for this reason.

Very practical can handle almost any task, maintenance is required on these vehicles as is every other car. The 96 tahoe is a reliable vehicle as long as preventative maintenance is performed. I’ve had both the driver and passenger interior door handles break and I’ve owned the truck for a year. It is likely that they were stock and understandable considering theyd be 22 years old. Other problems I’ve had include front end rebuild (ball joints, control arms, etc), ujoints, door lock actuators, window motors. My 96 2 door tahoe currently has 225k and still runs strong.

Over 200k miles and my baby still is runs great just as quiet as it was in 1999. I did here it had a recall but can't find the problem.

1999 Chevy Tahoe kinda girl would not even dare think about letting my baby go. She goes in every 3 months for tune up medium grade goes in it always. A yes exterior needs a paint job but she 24 now.

Die 300000km merkt man ihm nicht an, er fährt wie am ersten Tag. Reparaturen gab es keine nennenswerte, Reifen und Bremsen, Ölwechsel, alles günstig und überschaubar. 362,777k mi. My 2001 LT has been so reliable. Besides having to replace a few parts this SUV has taken my family all over the East Coast. I would trust it to go another 300k mi. Besides this Ohio weather fading the black paint everything still works. Still has loads of power and doesn't smoke at all for the miles and all the hauling Ive done. Love the body style more than any other year even the new ones.

I LOVE MY TAHOE!!!! Great SUV. I've wanted one ever since I first saw it. I have a 1997 2 door LS. LOVE it!! Needs body work.2 trips down south later, the head gasket blew from poor maintenance by the previous owner. Found another Vortec (inexpensively). Drop it in and we are back on the road. Excellent handling for a 7000 lb vehicle. Very responsive. Great on road trips with the right tires.

When I got mine it was in rough shape but a couple hours of work and some elbow grease she got new upper and lower control arms, new ball joints, realignment, tune up and a fresh radiator. She was been a dream other than her leather interior was practically destroyed when I bought it but she makes it 40 miles round trip 6 days a week with no issues. Even took her to another state a couple times (3-4 hour drive) and it was smooth sailing. If you keep up the maintenance on them they may out live you. She has 368,500 miles on her right now and I can trust her to keep on going.

I bought this used in 2003 with 63,000 miles on it & it has been the best vehicle ever! Sure, I had some minor issues (very minor) but all in all, it was money well spent. It finally "died" with over 263,000 miles on it in 2015. I've always loved Chevys & this one did not disappoint! Highly recommend Tahoes! The primary use for this Tahoe was daily everything use...I hauled hay for my horses in the back (lol), moved mobile homes, towed friends' vehicles...there wasn't anything that Tahoe & I didn't do. Yes, even some offroading!

I purchased my 1999 Tahoe in 2000. By far the best truck I have owned. Preventive Maintenance has been the reason for the performance and reliability. Having a great non-dealer mechanic is also a factor. I am convinced they are more interested in doing a good job VS trying to sell you a new one. I still have the same performance as when new. I still can't believe the fuel mileage I get on a road trip.

I've owned my 1996 4WD, 4 door almost since new, and driven it over 500,000 miles now. It's on the original engine (never been apart) and the transmission lasted 440K before I finally replaced it (because of noise, not because it didn't work) with a reman GM unit. Normal things break or wear out, of course, but this is the most rugged, well made vehicle I'll probably ever own. It drives great, is roomier and more comfortable than newer trucks that all have that giant center console, and feels like a proper, old school 4x4 that can also cruise comfortably all day on the highway. With a little care the interior has held up almost perfectly (just a crack in the driver seat leather so far) and the body has resisted rust better than most. I drove it in the Great Lakes salt for 11 years, but it's been in Florida since.

I have a Chevy Tahoe 1999 sport with 180000 miles on it no problem whatsoever with no major issues just maintenance..my lower ball joint still original I have to change them other than that it drives normally. my friend has one with 400000miles on it still going strong..

Have only owned this 2001 Tahoe LT for a week, but for a used truck, I was surprised! 180,000 miles, and still runs and performs like new! Checked the engine codes, and absolutely no system codes at all! Haven't tried the 4-wheel drive yet, but not a leak underneath! Has a few minor electrical glitches, but nothing major. So far, it's a great truck!

1,300 miles apart and felt like absolute family over the phone. We been eyeballing Challengers and when South Texas American Auto pulled in a black on black scat pack T/A we knew we instantly wanted it. The problem being is we are in a West Virginia. We knew we would need the car transported and never heard of this car lot but called anyway. I love my tahoe, I have had it for almost 20 years and she is still going strong. Big, comfy, smooth ride. This is the best car I have ever had. Fits 8 people and is great on road trips. I don’t like what a gas hog she is…. Occasionally she gets cranky and momma has to sweet talk her into starting but we have been through a lot and she has never broken down! I don’t drive too much so she has low miles, I plan on keeping her for a long time.
