Jack and I went to River Bend Ford to look for a small SUV. My best friend Sonjia recommended we see Joyce Day because she had done business with her for years. We didn't intend to buy that day . We just planned to look for a good used car. We asked for Joyce and she already had the perfect car for us that had just been traded in. My husband had recently had an accident that ultimately led to a partial amputation of his left leg. The crew there helped him get into his wheelchair so that he could look at the car more closely. After we went inside the dealership Joyce talked us through the details of the car. We felt like we had been friends forever. We came in yesterday to look at cars. We've never been to a Mazda show room or knew anyone that had a Mazda. David was our salesman and he was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the car we liked and took his time with us and answered all our questions. We bought our car and could not be more pleased! It was a great experience! I found a vehicle online that was at Tallahassee Ford. I sent an email asking if it was still available and Matt responded within minutes and asked if I wanted to set up an appointment to see the vehicle. This was Friday evening around 8pm. I showed up the next morning, test drove the vehicle, and was driving away in it a few hours later. The vehicle was as advertised, negotiations were reasonable, and Matt was a pleasure to deal with. Additionally, the vehicle I purchased qualified for the Nationwide Extended Warranty program which is good for 20 years/200,000 miles! Folks, this was the 12th car I've purchased from a dealership and I don't sign the papers until I feel like I've gotten the absolute best deal I can. The presence of this warranty put buying from Matt and Tallahassee Ford over the top for me.
Buying a car from Gem Mazda was a quick and painless process. My salesperson, David, was always helpful and attentive and I never felt the pressure or urgency that usual car salesmen employ to move their inventory. My certified pre-owned Mazda 6 feels brand new, and David made sure that the only tiny issue I found with the car was addressed before I drove off the lot. 5/5 buying experience.
I really was dreading going to the dealership to shop for my new car because of past experience. Great, prompt service was well pleased. We were traveling to the Tampa area and had trouble with the car. The service department took us right away checked out the car and sent us on our way in less than two hours
Great salesman, Ron, who was very thorough and patient in showing us the possibilities and seeing that our car was delivered to us just as we wanted. There was a glitch higher up in the hierarchy. What I would call the usual car dealership tango. Stick with it, though...in the end they were fair.
