Being a single mom I was more than a little worried about car shopping alone so I started out by contacting Mankato Motors online on a Saturday. Andrew Mathews sent me an email within minutes of me reaching out to them. He sent me pictures of the vehicles I wanted to see and answered all the questions I had thoughout the entire day. Without even meeting him yet, he made me comfortable enough to want to actually come in and test drive some vehicles. I originally was looking for something used and Andrew spent a big chunk of his day riding along while I test drove multiple cars. He's extremely knowledgable and very easy to talk to but as comfortable as he had made me I still wasn't finding what I was looking for. So I went home and redesigned my game plan and decided I wanted something new. Monday morning I reached out to Andrew again and started the whole process over. He sent me pictures of the vehicles I had asked about and answered all my questions. He was never pushy or made me feel like the questions I was asking were silly even though I knew they probably were! After work I went back to Mankato Motors and I ended up driving home my brand new 2016 Chevy Cruze!!!!! *insert excited emoji here!! Mankato Motors has taken the "traditional" car buying experience and has made it what it should be! Comfortable and enjoyable! I have owned my car for just over a week now and haven't sitopped bragging about the service that I received there. From the amazing offer they gave me on my used car to Andrew having to deal with my silly questions, I am now one of those people who proudly say "you should go see my car guy! His name is Andrew Mathews, he's at Mankato Motors!"

This car was lower miles fit my monthly payment requirement, comfortable and sharp looking. Time will tell to its reliability. So far we love it!
We can't say in enough words how wonderful Cary R. Was to work with. He is a very compassionate and caring saleman. He truly goes that extra mile to make sure his customer is satisfied.

Reliable car and worth every $ has more legroom
by WAIL from Washington

Has more legroom than my impala 2011. Great and sharp looking.
Best car I've ever bought. Great ride- firm but smooth and quiet. Acceleration is strong but linear- not sudden jerk. Average 30 MPG. Handling is sporty- but not a sports sedan. Transmission shifts smoothly and always in the right gear- no hunting. Seats are comfortable but not on a long trip. Forward visibility is good, but headlights just adequate. Side and rear pillars block view- rear camera helps with backing, but not great- camera does not have any guide and fogs easily. Forward Collision Assist has activated 3 times when no car visible- twice in rain and fog, and once on a knoll. Side mirror alert rarely works when merging or changing lanes. Lane Assist tugs the steering wheel and is very annoying, so I leave it off- should be warning light and chime only. Now have nearly 36,000 miles and no mechanical problems, but I keep the Lane Assist turned off and wish I could turn of the Forward Collision Assist because it is too sensitive.
Lagers is one of the best dealers in the area. They will go out of their way to find what you want if they don't have it in inventory and go get it for you if it is out of town. Their service is very good. Check them out if you are looking for a vehicle.

If you’re looking for a truck, Silverado is the only way to go. Driving a Chevy take your xxxxx out of your wife’s purse and back where they belong.
S&S was a great place to get my vehicle. First off - I thought it being in a small town would mean not a lot of selection. Then you drive to this place and it's like a megamall of cars. There is like a car of every make there. I wanted an SUV but I didn't know if I wanted GM or some other brand. I guess I just wanted the best deal and to know that the thing wouldn't break down two days after buying it. They were quick to help me figure out a couple to look at - and then weren't pushy or annoying like most car sales places. They didn't even really try to get an answer out of me. They just told me to think about whether this vehicle would meet my family's needs and if it worked with our budget. It totally did, so I didn't feel bad about saying yes. They were able to do the financing quickly so I didn't have to spend 6 hours there. Which is nice because we had our two kids with us and they bounce off the walls quickly. This place is a great place to buy a car. I highly recommend it. -Joseph Lauis Rochester, MN

It’s a great car!

We are a rapidly growing family and this car is perfect for us! It’s roomy and comfortable and exactly what we were looking for! We love it!!
Early 7-17 production, serial # under 120 currently with 11K+ miles running on original computer programming. Operation has been impressive and flawless to date. Oil/filter changes only. Transmission with new clutch mechanism has a more solid feel in the lower gears like a manual tranny - likely what many might mistake as a "shudder" if gas pedal is jerked. GMs doing something right - 29-30+ mpg highway running a 310 hp V6 engine which will 0-60 in lower 6+ sec.
I have had my 2008 for one week now so OnStar and membership weren't included. Came with one key. Everything went great until i started the car so my husband could move it AND IT AUTO LOCKED THE DOORS!! That's right, car running, only set of keys in the ignition and the doors were locked!! I had to wreck the visor on the driver's side and spend a half hour fishing around with a curtain rod to unlock the car!! What kind of car locks you out AFTER you've started the car with the doors unlocked?!?
Overall i am pleased with the car, it appears small from the outside compared to other crossovers but it has ample room. I dont feel cramped in it as opposed to the large sedan(Lacrosse) i was considering. Pros- It has plenty of pep when you hit the gas 252hp turbo so you are never lacking for power. Lots of tech features along with modern safety features . Collision avoidance ,Apple Car Play Etc. Stylish and sporty, AWD option and 19inch wheels. Good gas mileage. Cons- occasional issues with the accessories (bluetooth and AppleCarPlay). The startstop system can get annoying but it doesnt bother me as much as most reviews ive seen. That being said i would turn it off if i could, im not really sure it saves gas.
Headrests uncomfortable, too curved. chronic transmission problems, dealer says until a recall live with it. third row seat difficult to access from bench seat. Smooth ride except when transmission hiccups.
When we came in to get our truck we were greeted with friendly energetic faces. Sam and Stephanie instantly jumped in to entertain our children while we chatted and the fact you guys told us a little bit about your own life and children made the experience more personal and welcoming. It was the best experience we have received and we will be back when it's time for another vehicle!!!

Nice and clean looking vehicle
by Jrose from Cherokee nc

From the outside the vehicle is very appealing and also very comfortable from the inside. But upon driving it for any longer than a week you’ll come to find that the power steering in these vehicles is shotty to say the least. The vehicle has under 100000 miles on it and is already harder to turn than a vehicle with no power steering at all. My 95 s10 with 200000 miles plus on it has better power steering than this thing.
My car didn't do the auto Re-Gen and got clogged up. It cost me $350 to get it cleaned, the next day the sensor that controls the process went bad and they fixed it under warranty, but would not give me my $350 back saying it was unrelated! Really? Chevrolet can't afford to refund $350?
I have had my 2011 Silverado 1500 Max Tow 4x4 Extended Cab since it was new. This truck has never let me down and never fails to put a smile on my face when I need it to do something new or challenging. One of the most comfortable long-haul vehicles I have ever owned. Power to spare (6.2 liter engine) and reasonable gas mileage (average of 15.8 mpg over 65,000 city and highway miles). My local Chevrolet Dealership does all of the routine maintenance and I have never had any problems, small or large, with this truck. As reliable as the proverbial Swiss Watch.
