I love my Chevy high top van. I took out the middle captains chairs so I'd have more room for camping when we would go to the lake. The backseat made out into a bed which was fabulous. The lighting across the roof was magnificent I love the Mood lights!! It always started and was very dependable. I only did a regular maintenance change the oil, clean the spark plugs, new tires. The only Collins would be how the windward would really catch it and move you across the road and if you're driving into the wind boy you could watch the gas gauge just go down. But it was worth it it was like a hotel on wheels.

I bought 2011 Honda Pilot EX in 2016 from East Coast Auto Source. It had bullet holes in the body and some shot out windows. I repaired the bullet holes, and had the other repairs completed. Car ran well and it needed some other work. Nine years later, we have 211,000 more miles on the Pilot. It was a good price and East Coast Auto Source was upfront and honest about the repairs and had the car shipped to my mechanic. I would bought another car in 2024 from them and I am happy with the deal.

I've owned several of the 'body on frame' vans, and the Chevrolet is the last man standing. I've got almost 200k miles on a 6.0L version, with only minor maintenance items (water pump, starter). If you've got a large crew or a towing need, or both, this is the answer. Scout troop on a waterski outing with a 21.5' inboard? No problem! Family and all the Zombie apocalypse gear? No problem. Of course, it's ugly, but way cheaper than a Suburban and way more comfortable that trying to get into the back seat of a Suburban, and better tow ratings and cargo capacity, too.
