Only problem iam having is the power steering is spraying all over my engine and can't find the leak because it's all soaked and it's a small block so ia guessing a 318 or maybe a 360 throttle body I think tiny extended cab can't sit behind it it's a shorted 4speed with granny 16 inch wheels with stock beautyrings just got it so don't no much yet it's clean want to trade for motorcycle

Bought a 2001 Dodge ram from a small car dealership in Boise Idaho with about 95,000 Original miles and it was a very fun truck. The only things i didn't liked about it was the factory headlights suck especially driving around at 9:30. I also didn't like the fact that my truck radio didn't have the cd player but I got over that almost instantly. In my opinion if your looking for a fun off-roading truck or a daily driver these trucks are ideal.

One of the best trucks I've ever owned. Only problem is the dash is completely falling apart. $2500. To replace. Dodge should come up with an affordable fix. Way too many vehicles are affected.

I've had mine since 20,000 miles in 2000. Now it's up to 370,000. Engine is still great. It was my highway hauler for a long time, now it's my daily driver and occasional hauler. It's getting to need some body work, but it still starts every time. It's had a few repairs and the computer board switched out, but otherwise not needing major attention yet.

Almost 200,000 miles so almost everthing has been rebuilt or replaced but the engine and computer. I bought it new and still drive daily for work. It pulls our 24 ft. Boat with ease.

I bought this 1998 ram 1500 ext cab 4 years ago from a neighbor because he could not keep it running. Paid 500.00 before even opening the hood. ? I've always been a back yard wrenger, check the abveois, I tightened both battery post clamps and it's ran great ever since besides the few regular maintenance issues. Heater sucks especially if you live in ND as I do, today's temp -18 w/wind-chill. The 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 is an older-style truck, but it is extremely reliable and good-looking. I found this truck for a very cheap price of only $300, and when I bought it, it ran and drove well. The closest competitors are Ford, Chevy, Nissan, and Toyota half-ton pickup trucks. In my opinion, Dodges look much better than their competitors and are just as reliable. I recommend this truck because the engine is very dependable, and the body is all metal, making it more durable. These trucks were designed to be workhorses, and it shows; they also have the power to keep up with highway traffic. I've never had any major issues with these trucks; I even wrecked my truck going 70 MPH, and I only had to replace the front end. These trucks are very, very durable and reliable. I rate this truck 4.5 stars out of 5.

Besides wear and tear of the seals and dash board, this truck has been the longest running truck I've had. I take good care of all the vehicles I've owned. ( all GM products ) But this Ram has surpassed them all. Great Daily driver and workhorse.

I purchased my truck in 2005, had 92,000 miles on it. Still driving it today with 253,000 miles on it. Doesn't use any oil between changes. I have all the scheduled maintenance done when it's time. I live in Arkansas, wouldn't be afraid to get in my Dodge and drive to New York in it. The only complaint I have is that the dash is starting to crack really back and pieces of it is falling out. I love this truck!

Had a lot of small trucks, I dare you to name a better looking Dodge model than the second Gen. What if lacks in mileage it makes up for in power, stance, and aura. Wouldn't be selling it but I have a son now and I need a family vehicle.

I bought this truck used to move from Georgia, to Arkansas. By the time I got to Arkansas , three day and two overnights at rest stops due to weather,later I was sold on the truck. This truck was a trooper, hauling a 17 foot Uhaul, three cats in the back, through , heavy rain, snow,and ice gave me no trouble. I am commuting 250 mile a day , still running fine, used 14 gallons, so about 18 MPG with the A/C full blast. The only down side I have is , one the front chrome grill is actual a piece of metal foil, and is bubbling up, two the worst cup holder, so shallow most cup jump out the frist time you hit a bump.

I bought my first 1999 Dodge Ram 7 years ago. I loved it so much I restored it, the 360 is a beast, it runs and drives like new. It will pull anything. I have $15,000 into it worth every penny. I will never own another Chevy junk compared to the ram. Bought 2 more 1998 and a 2001 ram.

Got it at 260,000 miles out runs great and 0 macanical problems som rust spots and only half a dash (very bad crumble dash) but amazing truck

I was happy to even receive this truck, been a Chevy man all my life, built 6 lowered "cowboy" chevys, influenced by Ca. Lowriders.. Now this dodge, I drive like my chevys, mph barely under limit. Shift my column, due to overdrive extending at 40mph. 20 below, heater suks, location even worse. 3inch lift over stock, emerald paint, "24k gold-matte" stock rims, 32",,,,and less than 140,000 on her. 99,k bought 7 yrs ago. Wouldn't want it any other way, 32 below, starting battery must be leas than yr. 2yrs is mine, and needed jump at 24 below, tranny stock, change shifting modulator, 20 min job, saved $650.00,

No joke they literally returned $700 to me due to an error my lender made that I nor my lender would have ever noticed had they not brought it to my attention. Prior to the sale they also delivered the car to my choice inspection shop 10 mins away with no hassle, then covered the one issue found prior to the sale. I negotiate for a living and know my way around a car so I was ready for some serious haggling but the entire process was no xx. Okay, gas mileage.....meh. But it's a truck. I bought my 99% rust free truck from a dealership in Chesapeake VA. I live in Philadelphia so I bought it with no test drive. I'll never do that again. Over paid. It was so clean in the pics, I just assumed it was perfect. 1200 in parts later I very happy with my 2000 Ram. Did I over pay... Yes. But I love it. I always wanted one. The movie Twister, and Walker Texas Ranger I'd watch just for the truck. But if your looking for a good reliable truck that won't break the bank, this is it.

I bought this truck with 179k miles, I'm 17 years old. No cracked dash. No tranny issues. No lights on the dash, runs like its brand new. Had to fix all the lower front suspension. It was a cattle truck, yet runs perfect. I love my Ram 1500, has the 5.2l magnum with 4x4.

I bought this truck with 67000 miles on it . It’s a 4x4 5.9 ext cab . It’s been a fantastic truck no problems. I paid 5000 for it in 2012. The person I got it from bought it new and only used it for pulling there tent trailer. The gas was to much to drive it anywhere else. It’s lucky to get 15 mpg
