Toyota decided to get serious with their electric compact suv over their earlier version. Lowered the price making it competitive with all others in this class. Also making it now competitive is the increase in driving range, the XLE AWD model gets a significant boost with a 288 mile range. In addition the horsepower on the XLE AWD increased to 338 providing 0-60 in the middle 4 second range… that’s head snapping power. Also, major improvements were addressed to the charging system… now able to charge significantly faster and it comes using the NACS (North American Charging Standard) outlet connection for faster charging ( (originally called the Tesla charging connection). I personally enjoy driving the bZ around town but also on major roads. It runs quietly as an electric should but also isolates road noise. The instrument panel is different but coming from driving my plug in hybrid Prius Prime I’m used to different. I trust Toyota overall quality over all other manufacturers whether the vehicle is a traditional combustible gas engine or now electric.

My scheduled service to replace tire and 5,000 mile service was in and out in great time for what had to be done. Service advisors had great customer service and made sure you were happy with everything done. I have loved the buying experience from this location as well as the people. I own a 2024 EV6 Wind AWD (traded in a 2012 Subaru Legacy Limited) and it’s probably the best car I’ve ever owned. And it can go 0-60mph in under 4½ seconds, which is on a par with some of my dream cars (Ferrari and Lamborghini from a few decades ago). Charging at home with a $150 charger that plugs into a regular power outlet is quick and adds power to the battery as I sleep. BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport, with All Options. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Almost 5,000 miles within first 3 months and it has been AWESOME! Averaging 270 miles (and this is in Sport Mode most of the time). The DAPP is awesome on the highway and in traffic. The Adaptive Suspension makes driving through curvy country roads a blast! The ventilated seats during these record high temp days have been super useful. No need for the M50, plenty of power with the eDrive40 (I am hitting 0-60 within 5 seconds); also, range is a whole lot more important when you have an EV. Free charging via Electrify America has been a breeze. Charges on my 240-Volt Outlet at home FAST. Well worth every Penny.
