CarMax Nashville review
I’m not typically one to write reviews, but my experience with CarMax has been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, they’ve redefined my expectations for buying a vehicle. I found a car online that checked every box for me—low miles, all the specs I wanted, and fantastic photos that gave me confidence in its condition. The only catch? It was located at a CarMax dealership in Florida, while I’m in Nashville. For just $200, they shipped it to my local CarMax dealership. Knowing the worst-case scenario was losing that $200, I felt reassured to take the leap—and I’m so glad I did. Within just a few days, the car arrived. I had a trade-in—a mid-mileage VW Atlas in good condition—and to my surprise, CarMax offered me an amazing price. I’ve done my research, and they gave me a value that was very close to what I’d seen comparable models selling for, and significantly more than I owed. Needless to say, I accepted their offer with ease. As for my new (used) car, I was impressed by the comprehensive warranty options. The extended warranty they offer feels like an insurance policy: $200 deductible for coverage up to 150,000 miles. With my car’s mileage at around 50,000, this was a no-brainer. I’ve seen glowing reviews about the warranty online, and after my own experience, I can see why. Now here’s the part that truly sets CarMax apart—the post-purchase experience. The vehicle is used, so it’s impossible to catch every little thing during a quick test drive. Thankfully, CarMax provides a 90-day warranty and has a full-service garage. I’ve been back a few times for small fixes, like the gas door not working properly, tire monitor sensors, an alignment issue, and even replacing a rear entertainment system screen. Every single issue was handled promptly and professionally, leaving me with a car that feels brand new. Shoutout to Elvis in the service department! Not only did he remember my name when I returned, but he also ensured I had a free loaner car anytime my vehicle needed to stay overnight. The customer service I’ve received from him and the entire CarMax team has been nothing short of exceptional. This entire process has been so seamless that I can confidently say CarMax will be my first stop the next time I’m in the market for a car. I’ve purchased brand-new vehicles before and never felt this satisfied. CarMax has raised the bar for what car buying and ownership should feel like. If you’re on the fence about where to purchase your next vehicle, I can’t recommend CarMax enough. From great trade-in offers to their stellar warranty program and impeccable customer service, they’ve won me over as a fan for life. Here’s hoping they stay around for a long, long time—because this is how car buying should be done.
2022 Ford Escape PHEV review
Was comparing used PHEV SUV's with enough rear cargo space for my DJ equipment and enough electric power to run errands without using much gas. With some, the battery space ate up the cargo, in others, the overall size of the vehicle was too truck-like, uncomfortable, and a limited range. The Ford Escape is surprisingly spacious, comfortable, and very good electric range (about 35 miles on full charge). Combined mpg is quite good, even fully loaded on longer trips without the benefit of a recharge. Quite please with service package features as well.

Shottenkirk Ford of Granbury review
Chris Green was great. He was attentive to our needs and personable, showed options, was responsive to our inquiries, was insightful on the models, but was understanding that our best fit for our needs may not be a Ford (was at Shottenkirk Toyota, also highly recommend). We appreciate his candor, will always ensure to recommend him to all we know, and look forward to coming back to him when time to get a F250.
2022 Ford Escape PHEV review
Excellent value - has BLIS cross traffic alert/copilot/lane keeping with alert lots more - such as Hotspot Modem which is fantastic (Need to pay ATT for plan after 3 months/3GB but still a great feature) Has FWD only but travels just as well in snow and ice in upstate New York (replaced my AWD Ford Escape Hybrid ) Nice headroom and comfortable and dual climate controls with heated driver/front passenger seats (nice in the winter months along with heated steering wheel) Also has very easy to change in cabin air filter (Refresh95) Plug in Electric Charges on 120 or 240 (120 takes about 3x longer) Does come with the charger cord which is relatively expensive so treat it as such Electric mileage roughly 38 miles in winter and 52-58 in summer Hybrid/gas kicks in after electric only use and this gets about 55 mpg ( has 4 different Drive features including electric only as well as gas/ hybrid only) Has decent hp and torque with 2.5 l vct atk 4 cylinder hybrid engine Critique that it has a lot of plastic inside but so what Low voltage 12 volt battery is in trunk under mini spare tire so is a little hard to get to (Jump posts for the 12 volt battery if needed are easy to use and are under the hood on drivers side and can be used to “trickle “ / maintain the low voltage battery when not using for days) I purchased a larger 12 voltage battery -an AGM with a higher CCA A most decent car with I think the best of both with combo electric for city errands and then hybrid/gas for longer trips One thing I do enjoy the FordPass and Sync although it is version 3 it does get updated A super nice hybrid plug in SUV with a Lot of features to like

CarMax Houston Katy Freeway review
I've purchased two vehicles from this dealership and have had awesome experiences both times. No pressure, no tactics, no "let me check with my manager", just friendly, honest, efficient service. I WILL be back!
2022 Ford Escape PHEV review
This car has a geat deal going for it. As a PLug-in hybrid it excels in that it can be charged overnight with a standard 120v line. Summer full charge is good for around 40 plus miles. Winter up north, around 30. We don’t commute so we have filled up the gas tank more than three time in about a year. Styling is top-notch our model includes a useful heads-up display. Size isn’t hugh but more than adequate. Very comfortable ride and interior although not super plush inside. Overall it’s great as an affordable EV and that won’t leave you sweating about getting the next charge on the road.
