My vehicle will be paid off soon. It seems problematic situationa are starting. I read about recalls for 2017 ford focus. I've received NO letters from Ford yet. There are several recalls for make. Model and year 2017.

I've had my 2016 Focus SE for 9 years this year & will drive it until one of us dies. I've never had a problem with it. It gets great gas mileage, is comfortable & roomy. I've hauled many things that others thought wouldn't fit but with the back seats folded down ...no problem. I would recommend a Focus to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle.

Really good car. Bought my focus 2 years ago, and it was amazing deal. Was by the far best deal on the lot. There was a Corolla on the lot, which was way older, had a higher mileage, and was $500 more. I said no way, stick it Toyota. I’m going American, and I am so glad I made that choice. My focus didn’t disappoint me at all, with a well designed well thought out interior design, and sporty exterior styling. Very comfortable and quiet ride. And impressive gas mileage. 37 MPG on the highway, and around town about 33. Awesome gas mileage, and it only costs me $50 a week for a full tank. Been pretty reliable, did have a few little transmission hiccups. But took it in and were soon fixed under warranty. Other than that, no other reliability problems to report in two years of ownership. Definitely recommend this car.

The only thing I would say in gear 1 get vibration sudder like going up a hill ask the Mechanic to check it he says it’s like a vibration sudder not sure if this is what there meant to be like he said it’s fine apart from that no problem apart from need to sort the clutch

In Aug 2016, purchased the 2013 Fucus Hatch SE used in 2016, with 13,000 miles on it. With 35-37mpg on average with mixed driving. Early on OK without issues. Around 40K miles the transmission electronic control modual, ECM, needed an adjustment. The transmission is a learning transmission. It will learn how you drive and adjust shift points as your driving habits are learned by the transmission. My wife's driving habits are put it in drive and GO! My habits are different. Every now and then I will drive her car and shift the transmission as a manual drive, since the transmission is a manual drive transmission which has been automated. The engine and transmission only makes a subtle gurgle noise when as the car shifts from 2nd to 1st as the car comes to a stop. The car is sporty to drive, sensitive steering, good braking. It reminds be of a less expensive VW Golf. Currently we have 140K miles and the only wear on the car that shows is a failure of the heat shield and since I am a mechanically inclined guy who putters around fixing what is broken, there is wear on the clutches in the transmission, all due by my wife's driving habits of being a speedy driver. Since we already have it and its paid off, I will keep it. I will only purchase a Golf or Jetta when the transmission or electronic control module hiccups. I do realize the ECM has a recall if you're below 1450K miles.

Arrived in Dallas 9:00am Jason sales manger picked me up, went to dealership 2019 Ram was as described, did test drive the Thorin, signed papers, presented payment, on my way back to Florida 10:00am. Jason and Thorin answered every question, fixed minor issue with gas cap on the spot!

This car is exactly what i needed when i limped my old ponitac into the dealer. Unlike my previous car this one is great on gas. It handles smoothly in my opinion. THe only downside i can think of is the trunk is small. even with the seats down in the sedan like i got.

Was lucky enough to buy a used one with a religious service record and the DCT issues repaired and it's fantastic. Great gas mileage, roomy up front, nice features, stellar looking exterior, handles like a dream and sticks to the road. Did have the common EVAP purge issue a week after having it, but that was a cheap fix.

Just purchased for a replacement to a 300,000 mile escape, it’s the sel model so creature comforts are few but for the price it is optioned pretty well, the 4 cylinder was averaging 37 mpg on my 2 hour drive home with plenty of power, plenty of room inside do a small car for 2 people and maybe smaller kids in the back seat but it is a smooth ride for the small package. I will use it as a work vehicle to commute the 3 to 4 hours each way to work

I've only owned this car for a couple of weeks, but I love it! Right from the start, I felt very comfortable driving it (a lot of cars take a while to "fit"). My only complaint is that the hatch area is small, but then this car is a lot smaller than what I usually drive. I just have to get used to that. I love that it has automatic lights & high beams, GPS navigation, a backup camera and a way to sync my phone easily.

Poor transmission. Shudders sometimes or skips. Other than transmission I like my Focus. Comfort is good as is styling. I love everything about my Focus EXCEPT transmission.

Back in February 2025, I stopped by to see a car for sale that I could not believe after 14 years and One Owner was in such good shape. That was an 2011 Infiniti G25- 2.5L, V6. I know my cars well and that car was hard to find due to it was only made 2011 to 2012, and they stopped making them. I met Ross and the dealership. He gave me the keys to check the car out. Just as posted. The car was very well cared for. Great price. I went through it with a fine tooth come. I only found one thing. The radiator filler cap was cracked. The other cars on the lot were some of the best quality used cars I have seen in a long time. They do a good job picking quality cars. Hats of to Texas Driver Auto Dealer. I recommend to anyone stop by there first before you go anywhere else. I'm a 28 year retired Army vet. I have owned, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Japanese Skylines and Dodge Charger SRT 8. 2014 Focus SE Hatchback bought in 2016 with 7500 miles. Its currently 2025 and 113k miles. The only repair issue was the TCM failure at 90k. I had to wait 3 weeks for the part to come in all the while unable to drive my only vehicle. Only other problem with this car is the heat shields have fallen loose and rattle. I have thought about replacing this car several times over the past 3 years. I've test driven many similar cars and haven't found any that drive much better. So I keep driving this car.

I went in with the intention of buying a car, I wanted to get a used but good car from the lot. I was trying to test drive some vehicles but the employee insisted we talk numbers first, that was a bit annoying but i could live with it. Over all the trip was ok and i learned a lot about financing.

I think everybody knows you pay for convenience but should you have to pay so much for it. Why do dealers mark up cars and add unwanted and unwanted items to inflate these hidden costs? Well obviously to make more money off the consumer, but why take advantage of people? it's no wonder why "car salespeople" come across as shrewd, dishonest, and untrustworthy. Not so with Maverick Motors. Truly, the best experience with the best value. I bought the car in 2020 now , I've replaced the water pump, alternator, purge valve and normal maintenance, the car gets up to speed on the highway pretty good , is pretty quite , handles good for a economy car, I got a 5 speed manual with all the bells and whistles, I would say it's not bad for the price I paid for it , I guess the automatics are a nightmare to own. If you drive in the snow get snow tires, other than that I hope to hit 200 k with this car

Purchased a used 2018 with 35K miles in 2023. I now have 75K miles as it's a commuter car, about 90 miles a day. I average almost 41 mpg going from Pueblo to Colorado Springs and back. The CVT was a bit suspect when I first got it, but I think the driving has corrected the 3rd gear delay. The CVT is hands down better than my Altima. One year that car was gone, total junk.

recently bought a truck. never bought a vehicle in this type of setting so was skeptical. Requested permission take vehicle to personal mechanic and fee was $500 that would not be returned if any issue other than engine or drive train was compromised. This was a redflag--as if to discourage discovery. Because it had a salvage title this evaluation by a certified mechanic was essential. The mechanic evaluation checked out OK so it appears that the company does put some effort into selectivity of vehicles in terms of operational quality and safety. Michael was the salesperson and was able to answer all questions; selling process was smooth. There was a front end shimmy on the test drive and the issue was fixed (tire balance). I was told by Michael to contact him if the issue persisted--that was appreciated. Overall process was good but would still feel more comfortable if autos were " guaranteed" for at least a reasonable time frame wihout an extra charge--but took that risk . So far seems like I got lucky, saved a bundle with a vehicle that runs great with no overt issues. I noticed that in some of the reviews that I read the owner responded to those that had raised concerns. That's commendable--shows concern for others and his reputation
