The Ranger is a great light duty pickup for urban use.
The Ranger is a great light duty pickup for urban use. The 4-cyl 2.3L Turbo engine is plenty strong and gets great MPG at highway speeds. Around town I get right at 20 MPG, but at highway speeds it is closer to 28 MPG. It also tows my 3,000 lb boat with ease and gets 1 5 - 18 MPG while doing so. I would have liked a 6' bed, but Ford right-sized this vehicle for those that don't need a full-sized pickup.

We didn’t know, until all paperwork was signed, that we would have to return to make a second key. This is an 1hr20min drive so a pretty big inconvenience, especially since the door keypad is un-programmable without 2 keys!
