While on vacation at Arches National Park, the driver-side window of my Impala broke in the down position. The wife and I figured that our vacation was about to end as we had no option but to try to get it fixed.
We drove into town, to Moab Chevrolet. We were not optimistic about our chances of getting the window fixed in time to continue with our vacation, and were discussing which parks would have to be missed.
However, when we arrived at noon, we met Donnie, who was manning the service desk and explained our situation - hapless tourists in need of repairs. Although he was obviously fully engaged with the work at hand, he and Mike (the mechanic) listened as we explained our predicament. When we were done, Mike offered to skip his lunch break in order to get us back on the road. Mile quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had us back on the road by two p.m. As it turned out, we did not miss any of our scheduled sites, thanks to Donnie and Mike’s willingness to go the extra mile for a total stranger. The folks at Moab Chevrolet have our eternal gratitude. Five stars, guys!
