In 2002 they sold over MSRP adjusted for inflation @$54K in todays money- pricier than the 2002 Corvette and sold like 30,000 that year. I think that new car buyer had to probably be searching for the 1955 Thunderbird experience to shell out that kind of cash, and most people born on the 60’s and 70’s just didn’t understand that appeal. Oddly, the demographic that did BABIED their cars, kept up maintenance, have all the original tools and covers (just try and find that T-handle wrench for the hard top for example) when you get lucky enough to get a shot at buying one of these babies cars you’ll find they’re sharp and quick, amazingly so despite what people someone lent one to to write about said 20 years ago. Shod with 17inch tires 🛞 and solid suspension, people can complain about the horsepower being light, but stomp it and it will jump, zoom and weave solidly with the best of them. My drive home from buying this car was a blast. Will other sports models eke out slightly better speed, power and performance over these 20 year old T-birds? Sure, why not. Does it matter if you’re not at Road Atlanta? No. For me, this a sleeper sports car that’s about to bust onto the scene and see its reputation finally living up to the 2002 Car of the Year Award Motor Trend gave it. I think you need to find one of these babied sweethearts like I did. It’s a blast to find a good one and discover what an under rated blast it is to drive. Can’t really call it super nimble, but I respect mines solid ride and reasonably quick response & rocket like performance. The incredibly clean lines scream style visually and I suggest that a 2 tone leather optional interior is worth an extra $1K (over the basic. $11-12 K value) a hard top/rack/tonneau cover intact is worth another grand. ($13-14K total seems fair generally for a babied one). Check the rubber suspension parts underneath (inside the front wheel well behind the tire) is the easiest one to check quickly for rot w/o getting under the rear).

John understood my needs and responded quickly with Jeeps to review - after a bit of humming and hawing on my part, I changed my mind to trucks. I found a truck at another facility, John had it tranferred and within 2 days my soon to be truck arrived - and it is a beauty. John was training Matt and they both demonstrated immense knowledge throughout the interaction and I appreciated the ease of communication (not pushy). I cannot comment on the financing portion of the transaction, but closing went just as smoothly with Hubert and his supervisor. WHile impressed with my transaction I was also impressed with the amount of time that was placed on the training of new employees, or employees transferring. While yes my truck need a repair on the fog lights, it is covered under their warranty, I am highly impressed with my experience. From walking in the front door, to having John take my picture of me and my truck with a giant yellow ribbon... every individual at Carmax truly made the buying and trading experience a wonderful experience. Have owned a 2021 Rogue Sport for 6 months. I’ve noticed a lot of people commenting on acceleration issues while merging on HWY. unless mine is in eco mode I have no problem merging at HWY speeds.

I had a 2025 Limited hybrid as a loaner and was extremely impressed with it! Quite frankly if I didn’t love EVs so much I would be getting one. My spouse has a 2025 Lexus ES and there are just a few features it has that the Limited Sonata lacks, but the Sonata has a LOT of features the ES doesn’t have, and the price difference between them is a brand new Nissan Versa. It’s very quiet and even when you floor the accelerator it’s really not bad for a 4 cylinder. The ride is every bit as good as the ES, if anything better probably due to the fact that the rims are 2 inches smaller. The driver assistance features work so smoothly. Really the only thing I was disappointed with was it doesn’t have power folding mirrors and my 2019 Hyundai Ioniq does, so that was surprising but it’s kinda an unnecessary feature anyway but I like it cuz I know if the mirrors are folded the car is locked. Also I wasn’t getting the MPG on the window sticker. Granted I only had it for one day and 65 miles, 95% interstate driving 75, but it was a struggle to reach what it’s rated at for the city driving. I feel like the city and highway numbers should be reversed, because it definitely prefers city driving. I also had a 2025 SEL AWD as a loaner for my last service visit, and it was fine but honestly nothing stood out to me. It was like a random rental car, nothing good but nothing bad either.

Although I didn't buy a high end exotic, I was treated like I was buying one. The 2007 XKR was wonderful and Jackson went above and beyond to answer all my questions, inquiries and upfront about everything with respect to the car. It was prepared beautifully and the transaction was as smooth as could be for an out of state buyer. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a specialty vehicle and hope to deal with them again in the future.

Need the smallest cargo van for travel. The cargo area offers huge space and the acceleration and ride are fine. Lack of road noise (on decent roads) was a pleasant surprise. I wish there was a larger center console with closable storage. Appreciate that the battery is easily accessible and there is a full size spare. Plenty of light in the cargo area. Fun to drive

Great everyday ride. Not a sports car by any means but has features that no other suv in its size and price can match. Leather seats are uninspiring - suggest they go synthetic with a nicer look and feel. Acceleration of hybrid is very good and appreciate no CVT tranny - prefer the traditional 6speed and front/back drive with no electric motor separately motoring the rear. This is my wife’s car and 2nd in 2 years - upgraded to the hybrid limited because the base engine is a dog and gets terrible mpg.

Overall nice SUV.Range is only 26 miles on E-mode,offraod the door wells get dirty so opening the doors to enter of exit is a challenge to not get dirty.Tires wore out at 15k and they are are EXSPENSIVE to replace.

I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. I have owned 3 Chevy equinox and I like the way it looks and handles. It is a great family vehicle and very comfortable and safe. All 3 of my Equinox were the Premier class well worth the extra money and more features.
