Used GMC Canyon trucks for sale near Aubrey, TX

I bought this truck new 8 years ago (and 77k miles). I use this truck for truck things like towing a 5,200lb trailer @8 times a year. The V6 has plenty of power and gets good mileage (22 mpg combined, 29 highway empty, 15 pulling the trailer). Reliability has been outstanding. The transmission needs a full flush about every 40k to keep it shifting smoothly. Other than that this truck has been without issue.

Our AT4X has been an excellent mid-size truck. The ride is shockingly smooth and the engine has a lot of torque. Wish the interior had less plastic and GM's failure to have a rear view camera mirror or controls for garage/gate contols is inexcusible. Overall, could not be more pleased with this truck.

This is my third purchase at this dealership, and each time has been an amazing experience. They listen to what I want and have not once talked down to me because I?m a woman. GMC Diesel Canyon AT4. I've had this truck for a year-11,000 miles. I love it. The Denali and Elevation trim looked like junk. The AT4 can't compete with the Tacoma off road but, It holds it's own off road. The Diesel pulls like a beast and the exhuast brake, on all the moutain passes I drive, is worth it's wieght in Gold. I trailer the max. capacity regularly and it's smooth sailing. I traded in my 2500HD Silverado with the vortec 6.0 for this big, little truck. Best decision I've made in a while. I had this truck on order for 8 months and Gm never accepted the order. I finally found exactly what I ordered, just off the truck that morning that I called. 1300 miles away, I jumped on a plane to go get it. Crying shame GMC discontinued the diesel. The extra $ per gallon right now is easily washed by the increase in mileage, 32+ higway, 19 trallering almost 8000 #'s. I wouldn't want the truck without it. Wouldn't want the Elevation or Denali. Diesel AT4 is the truck. I'll keep it the rest of my life barring accident. I'm sure I can get 40 years out of this truck doing 10-12k a year. The regeneration of the exhaust has never come up but, I only do a little round town driving. Most of my miles are highway and hauling a load. I've heard horror stories about regen. from city folk, commuters... You get what you aim for. If you've given it a lot of thought and the diesel AT4 seems right for you, you won't be disappointed. Good luck finding one. GM - You've a winner here. don't let it get away. Ps. Cars.com doesn't have a choice of how I use this truck for WORK. This truck is a perfect size to easily park and it allows me to get all the ranch supplies I need. I can easily take my grand children to school or run errands.

I have loved and owned Chevy and GMC midsized trucks since 98 when I purchased a used S-10. My latest purchase is a 2021 GMC Canyon Denali bought brand new. It's been a great truck until my power steering unit went out due to corrosion. It only has 32,200 miles on it and I have never gotten it wet other than car washes and driving in the rain which is normal conditions. I had purchased a mid grade extended warranty through GMC after my lease was up and purchased the truck. I am being told this is NOT covered due to it being external wiring. So I feel this is a manufacturing malfunction and bad engineering for water to be able to get in to cause such corrosion so beware. This is an open case filed with GM currently to hopefully rectify the matter.

Would give it a 5 star but for the lack of a mettle bumper and the dumb location of the headlight control and 4 wheel drive control (almost half to open the door to see them) along with the fact I half to duck down to see the fuel gauge.

This is a great truck. It is peppy and well designed. The electronics take some getting used to. The storage inside the tailgate is brilliant. There appears to be a lack of some desired features in the models. Some things should be in the mid range model and they are not. There is no place to mount any radio equipment for GMRS or HAM and there is a lack of 12 volt power sources, Also there is no 4x4 low range in these. I never had to use it much in other 4x4's but it was present, I am not a fan of the online manuals. If you need to look something up, you better have a laptop with you. 2 things concern me; one is YEARLY oil changes the other is the lack of division between models in operations description of features in the manual. There is also a visible seam in the bed were it is welded during manufacturing, Looks like a three year old did it.

Was in the market for a new practical vehicle as I lease a new Audi Electric. Wanted something I could jump in and drive, and moving to Texas it was only right I got my first truck. Young Kid Amir showed me two trucks and after two days and giving him a hard time we settled on a 2024 Silverado at a price we could both live with. Missing a few things that could really make it better. Homelink for garage door isn’t offered? Doesn’t come with a receiver type hitch however what does comes with it is almost the same amount of steel. The phone charger doesn’t work quite right and they know it.

I love my 2022 GMC Canyon Elevation. The V6 engine is great. Good gas mileage, even for the way I drive it! Great comfort and very stylish. All around, just a great truck.

GMC Canyon Denali with the 2.7 Duramax diesel is a loaded power house with great fuel economy. 4x4 has a towing capacity of 7000 pounds, the best in class. 31 MPG on the highway! Previously owned a Tacoma but it would not pull our travel trailer with the V-6. Highly recommend the Canyon diesel, if you can find one!

Good fuel economy, great performance, great looks inside and out, could use a little more cab space and more comfortable seats. Miss some of the old stereo controls like manual tuning and a CD system. Do not like the auto stop feature it is annoying and I believe will do more harm than good to the starters life on the engine or noticeable fuel price savings. Most of all there is way way too much electronic and computer monitors on the systems of the entire vehicle, you took the wrenches and sockets right out of the hands of the do it yourself mechanics that knew how mechanical and electrical systems worked in vehicles without extreme expenses incurred, now you need an advanced computer technician’s degree to work on your own vehicle.

They are friendly and gave us instruction how to take good care of our car. It fits within our budget. I consider purchasing an extended warranty

Had my 2024 Canyon for exactly one year. Not a single real issue once over the air update was done and that only affected the radio. It was an AT4 in desert sand metallic. I traded it for a 2025 Acadia, as I missed life in an SUV. However if you want a truck, I’d highly recommend it and specifically the AT4 model. It’s got meaty tires for pothole protection, it’s able to tow more than you can imagine, it looks super amazing and you’ll have lots of thumbs up and positive comments when you get gas, etc. updated tech was more than you could ask for. 4WD auto mode worked flawlessly. Engine had a nice little growl that I miss too. Let me say if you are a truck person or want to be a truck person, it’s a perfect mid size truck. Mine was 100% and am missing it yes but love the Acadia because it’s also a great vehicle. Got the AT4 Acadia and for my situation it’s perfect.

Bought a 2024 AT4 new in March. Now have 11,000 miles with ZERO issues. Absolutely love to drive this truck. Considered Tacoma, Ranger, Frontier, Ridgeline, and Colorado. The Canyon is superior in almost every way. Only negative is that the truck sits tall (9.6 inch ground clearance) so steps are a necessity. However, sitting so high is great for driving. Feels like a full size truck when you sit in it.

I have owned my new 2023 GMC Canyon 4x4 for almost a month now. I love it. Drives and rides great. As a female I feel very safe in it. I traded in my 10 year old Jeep for it. I miss my Jeep but very happy with my new truck. I would recommend this truck if you do not need a big pick up.

I purchased my new GMC Canyon Elevation 4x4 Crew Cab a month ago and it's been a pleasure to drive to this point. I think it rides very well for a truck which disagrees with the Cars.com review. It has plenty of power with the V6 and 8-speed transmission for passing. I have yet to tow with it but that's coming next month when I tow a flat bed trailer with 2 ATV's on it. I love the 18" tires and blacked out wheels which gives it a much higher stance than my old 2010 Colorado 4x4. The truck stands very tall for a mid-size model and it gives me a great view of the road behind the wheel. I love the Infotainment system with Sirus XM, Spotify, etc. The soft-lowering tailgate is nice and so is the auto-locking feature. It doesn't have standard features such as lane departure, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, etc. My wife's Subaru Forester came standard with those features whereas the Canyon has them as an add-on option. Not a deal breaker. The lack of decent rubber all-weather floor mats were a disappointment so I had to order them along with splash guards. I'm not sure about the Goodyear Fortitude tires in the winter since the reviews don't rate them well in deep snow. If I have to, I will install 4 snow tires. So far I love the truck and I love the Satin Steel color. It's a major upgrade from my 2010 Colorado 4x4. It's a bit early but I would definitely recommend this truck to a prospective buyer.
