Great truck over all. Other then normal repair of a truck that's 12it years old and has 165000 miles everything runs great. I have a 4.3l engine and it is original engine and transmission. Drove from Toledo Ohio to Nashville and got 25 mpg. Suspension is my only complaint. It is a little soft as are many sonomas and s10s. I upgraded leaf springs and put air shocks on. Now it has no problem pulling a 21ft boat or carrying a load. Overall it is a very good truck.

Extended cab has 3 doors and 4 seats. Both front seats are extremely comfortable and easy to sit in for a long ride. V6 has enough power to do burnouts on demand, sadly the steering wheel sits a little high and is not adjustable.

The drive-train is rock solid, the interior design is cheap but effective. Good gas mileage and serves all of my purposes very well. I would purchase this truck again and again.

Bought this as a replacement for my 95 S-10 and it’s basically the same thing it drives better than the s-10 but both are great vehicles

Recently purchased a used 2003 GMC Sonoma with the ZR-2 package. This review is based on when the truck was made and not comparing it to today's trucks since it is 9 years old and things have changed a lot in 9 years. Currently the truck has 108,000 miles and runs like a champ. It gets driven 300 miles a week commuting to work and my car is driven on the weekends unless truck is needed for work around the the house. Like all older GM vehicles, as long as they are maintained and taken care of, they will run forever. My Sonoma is no different. Runs great, still putting out solid power from the 4.3 V6, and gets decent mileage for a truck at 17MPG. A K&N Cold Air Intake is installed and does provide smoother running and slight bump in power. There are the normal cracks, creaks, and rattles that happen over time since the interior is really just cheap plastic. Besides that it rides well with the larger 31" tires and is great off road. Normal repairs such as bushings, tie rods, UV joints have been done. Ride can be bumpy at times but it is a truck and rides as expected. Besides the cheap interior build quality, this is another example of a quality GM truck that when taken care of, will run well and will be reliable for many more miles as I expect to reach at least 150,000 miles with my ZR-2. This is my second S-10 as previous truck was a 1992 with the Tahoe package. These trucks are priced well at the time of this review and are cheap and easy to maintain. The ZR-2 package also adds a nice unique look to the truck.

This car is roomy. It's dependable and comfortable. It's a great travel car. I love this model car. I recommend this car to anyone, it's simply reliable.

Styling is great. I have the Zr-2 model and it has a healthy off-road look. I drive it off road sometimes and hit handles very well. The engine is very good, very smooth, and very durable. The 4 wheel disc brakes are super. Gas mileage is not so good, however. It gets 17-18 on the highway and less in the city or if there is a load in the back. Gas mileage is not so good.

I learned how to drive in one of these and I think it was great. I can now drive many other vehicles because I wasn't afraid to learn in this one. My family has bought GMC trucks and we have discovered that the transmission lasts for the longest time. We have kept all of them for a very long time and sold them before ever having a problem with the transmission. A lot of other vehicles have problems after they get old, but not this one.

I wanted to give a shout out to Ruben staff member at Hayes auto dealership felt like his customer service was impeccable. He even dropped off the vehicle to accommodate my crazy work schedule. He went out of his way from when we first interacted over the phone. He kept me up-to-date and sent me Pictures and videos of The vehicles on the lot. I bought 2011 Honda Pilot in 2016 and 2010 Chevrolet Suburban in 2024. Both transactions went well. Honest and easy to deal with. They were very upfront on the defects on the vehicles.

I went to a few dealership on Saturday with my wife looking for a car for my college bound son. We were both impressed with Arko and how kind and easy going they were. A few places we went to didn't even bother to come out and say hello. When we told Arko we weren't looking to purchase quite yet he still gave us the same attention as he did when he thought he'd maybe have a sale that day. We will for sure be back.

I got mine in 03,now is nov 09,got it when it had 73k miles now it has 131k,have had a few problems with transmission,.for the longest time i thought the tran. went bad ,and after 3 mechanics saying that i need to rebuld or a new transmission,i left it the driveway for a year,plus.and then took it to a friend of mine mechanic from church,and found out that was the crank shaft sensor,the wiper blades motor is going in and out,.....It`s a good truck,not too fancy....but if u change u`re fluids on time ,you may have the chance to squeeze more out of it,i`ll keep mine until it dies,good on gas,mine is 2.2...i`m a big guy,the only complaint that i have is,i wish i would have gotten an ext. cab.

I bought my 2004 Sonoma that belonged to my dad after he passed. It's been kept in the garage since brand new. It has 3800 Miles. Even smells new. The problem is.my Mom used it for a few years before she got sick and couldn't drive. I didn't realize the 3rd door was stuck. When I had to call roadside assistance to change a tire, he threw everything behind the seat's, so there's that. But, when I grocery shop, there's no room in the front. Is it possible to have it repaired? I tried to force it open with my feet from inside, but I'm not very big. There's no rust, so I don't know why it won't open. Any advice?
