I had never heard of the Honda Insight, but due to a change in job location, I have a longer commute...unfortunately, the price of gas has increased and I felt the mpg of my current vehicle wouldn’t make sense so I went into a local dealer and I was introduced to a Honda Insight...great mpg and value

I traveled from Madison, WI to Passport BMW in Maryland to purchase a pre-owned car. It was an excellent experience! One of the best purchases I've made. With regular maintenance, this vehicle has taken me over 116K miles as of the date of this review. When new, and driving around the city, I was seeing 55 MPG. Currently, driving more Hwy than city, I'm seeing it avg 40MPG. I do suspect that this is due to the fuel pump recall; after a routine maintenance session at a dealer where they replaced my spark plugs, I noticed the car idling weird when just sitting. I took it back to the dealer to check and they said the spark plugs looks new and nothing is off but it could be due to the fuel pump recall. As of this review, the Dealer still has not received the parts to do the recall repair. However, their has been a few recalls and aside from the latest one, the dealers have been exceptionally well at the recall repairs. The car's safety system is overall pretty good, their were times where the LKAS (Lane Keep Assist System) would freak out on you and force you to take over, but its been a good experience overall. The right hand turn camera is very useful. I wish Honda would've included one for the Left hand turn and continued with the tech to newer models. One thing to note is that the vehicle has a very audible droning noise when you really push the vehicle going up hill or trying to pass a car, but this can be expected from a relatively small hybrid sedan. The road noise is also not the best, and the factory premium audio system is subpar. But if you're a casual listener this won't be a problem (My prev vehicle was an Altima with the BOSE sound system, a great audio system btw). Overall, this vehicle is great and has not given me an issue, yet.

My initial experience at the Safford Brown Kia Dealership was extremely disappointing.I had an appointment with Mark Tehrani concerning the purchase of 2015 Toyota Rav 4.Upon my arrival he acted in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner(the vehicle that I went there to purchase was already sold and was not even apologetic.Luckily for me one of the managers intervened and the day had a happy ending.Mark Tehrani is not suited for this position,I’ll never recommend anyone to do business with him.

This is far the best car it's give 50 miles per gallon and jazzy looking reliable of course its a Honda I luv when I'm zooming around town I van do electric and u can't beat that

Its a roomy vehicle and runs so smooth. Everything outside the car is visible while inside creating less chances of hitting objects around you. And the engine size being a 1.3 litre is a plus to save an extra buck on gas.

Fantastic car, hybrid, only a dent in rear passenger bumper. Ac engine are all smooth No chassis problem No mechanical problem. Very economic car, it has perfect sound systems too.

My Insight EX 2022 is economical , comfortable and IMHO pretty. Now that late May is here (NJ) I’ve averaged 57 mpg in last 4 weeks. Winter is only 51 mpg. Bought in October 2021 and I average 625 miles per month, which means I fill up once per month! And always less than $30. I use the regenerative braking paddles as much as possible, only wish there was a third or fourth setting to bring to an almost complete stop stop, brake pads would last forever!, as I drive not much I’m averaging 11 months per oil change. I highly recommend this vehicle except if your commute is very hilly/ mountains. Much engine roar on big hills. Here in NJ not many of those. I’m 67 y.o. and do love to hypermile I do drive like the grandpa that I am!

Purchased for my wife's 80 + mile daily commute. She drove it daily for over 10 and a half years. All maintenance done by the Honda Dealer in Saratoga Springs, NY Great service, by the way. A very trouble free car. She decided to purchase a new CRV earlier this year. I now drive the Insight for my daily 40 mile commute. I average 58MPG, as I drive it very easy and avoid the interstate. It now has 228,000 miles and still going strong! I highly recommend this if you don't mind its lower performance but it pays back in great gas mileage. I fill up every 14 to 16 days for less than $18.00. Can't say enough about how good of a car this is. My son is turning 16, in a few months. This will be his 1 car. I am looking for another one for myself.

Bought a 2019 Honda Insight Touring with 7000 miles. Have 12,000 on it now and no complaints. Gas isn’t as good in the winter but it’s still better than most anything else on the road. 35-50 mpg depending on temperature and how I drive it. Quick little car for a hybrid but makes a decent amount of noise for no reason at times. It’s not perfect but it sure beats the god awful looks of a Prius with the great dependability of a Honda.

They were super helpful and low pressure, and the car is exactly what we need. The financing was easy and they can work with folks with a lower credit score. They have a large inventory from which to choose with odometer readings under 90,000, and the car came professionally detailed. My husband and I are very happy with this purchase!

My second Insight. Lower interest rate and good trade in on my first Insight led to my second. Great gas mileage except in cold weather. I live in Nebraska. winter months drops about 6-9 MPG. Rest of the year is 48-50.The sweet spot is flat I-80 at 70 MPH with 55-60 MPG the norm. 75 MPH it drops to 48-49 an I can't complain. I', 6'3 and I fit with no problem. big trunk. Camera in right side mirror for lane change is great as well as back up camera. The back seat is kind of cramped unless you are short. Overall as long as the keep building them I'm buying.

Wonderful car! 220000 miles and all I did was oil change, Battery, Tires, Brakes and fluids change. Great gas miliage and I carted all my musical equipment around in it and the gas miliage was still the same. Honda makes a great car.

WOW the gas mileage is incredible I can regularly get 50 mpg my lead foot wife gets 47. I’m a big person tall and wide it could be more comfortable but I’ve owned worse. The “switch” gas to battery is 100 percent seamless, just drive it like a regular car and it dies the rest. It has a ton of electro so it’s the only car I ever bought an extended warranty. Did I mention it gets 50 mpg and dies look like an ugly Prius. Honda through and Through!!

Owned since new in 2011. Almost have 250k miles. Drove 2x yearly for 6 years to South Texas from Minnesota. Used as a daily driver for GF for work 2 hours round trip. Only issues as others have stated sensitive/faulty tire pressure sensor. Air conditioner motor rebuild (our fault ran ac in huston traffic when it was 110 out at dead stop traffic). Takata airbag recall. Burned out the battery terminal cable ends. Normal battery replacement It has dealt with the harsh winter and extreme summers and has never once failed us. The cost of the maintenance is a little high due to being CVT but the money saved in gas makes up for it. AVG 51-55 mpg have seen it as high as 73 with eco in flat states like Iowa. Only con is the seats on long drives will put pressure on your lower back/kidneys. Simple fix buy a seat pad. Was pretty sad to see them discontinue the line but as of 2019 it was brought back. During multiple services at certified honda multiple offers have been given buy people to purchase the car by both the dealership as well as private. Have yet to have to replace the electric battery. All tests as of 2019 on it are excellent condition. 10/10 would highly recommend this car.

Great driving car that saves fuel consistently. EPA didn't do it justice. I get consistent 51-56 mpg in Summer and 48-51 mpg during coldest weather when I commute. I measure it miles driven to fuel added at gas station. Lots of room for passengers and cargo. Rear seats down it becomes a very usable wagon. What I like best is that it drives and rides like a Honda. Never had a problem with this car. Reliability has been beyond expectation for this hybrid. And it's really easy on tires too. I'd give it 6 Stars if I could.
