After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

No complaints overall on performance and durability. Only drawbacks is road noise. If you like to avoid road noise, this car is not for you. noise is too much than expected. i even went to Honda dealer to report noise, they replied me this is normal honda noise.

This is a nice SUV that is not flashy, but it does its job carrying the people and running errands around town. It’s also nice for longer trips.

Bought my Elite in May of 2023 at a local dealer. I love the look of the car, the comfort and the handling. It is very roomy and has so many cup holders and compartments which is great. I have the brown/black interior, which I wasn't able to see before purchasing it, but loved it once I did see it. I did have an option for a gray interior one but didn't like that look as it didn't look as classy as the two toned. The lights are bright, the features are wonderful so overall a nice vehicle and still happy with my purchase. Now the not so good stuff.... Biggest problem I have is like other reviews have stated the gas mileage is not great at all and comes nowhere near the projected when the car is marketed. 19-25 it states but that is way off for sure. I don't have a heavy foot, speeding or hard breaking and I always drive in Eco because the 'Normal" mode option, the mileage is worse. Summer months my average between city and HWY is 18.5/19.5. All HWY I was able to get 23 miles one time but not again. All HWY after that first time is usually 21/22. Never have I seen 25mpg like stated. Now the Wintertime they are not as good. City/HWY is 17/19 & HWY is 19/20.5. The most miles I can get out of a tank of gas either summer or winter is now less than 355, more around the 335/345. The lane assist feature is pretty bad as well, better in the nighttime as I feel it sees the lines better but during the day is more of an annoyance than anything, so I normally don't use it. I have drove the Sport model one and that worked great and a 2022 Elite pilot and that worked flawlessly too. Not sure why mine is so bad but dealer says it functioning correctly, I told them we will agree to disagree LOL>. The wireless charging is very slow and if you have any type of case on it will most likely not work, so I just keep it shut off. I really wish Honda would have put the bigger screen in this car this time around. Looks like there is enough space for that to have happened they just chose not to. I really wish that the second you turn off the car the radio didn't shut down too. I have never had a car do that and it is frankly a big inconvenience for me. Many times, I am on the phone with clients, or I like to finish a song, but in order to do that I would have to sit with the car running and that doesn't make sense to me and it's a waste of gas. This is little but I do hope that they come out with some type of compartment for the center console as it's really big but there is no way to organize anything in it and honestly just looks like a total mess. (Again, small to many) The app to start the car and such is just okay. What I don't like is that you cannot adjust the temp or the heated seats as well as not having the app turn on the passenger seat as 95% of the time no one is in it. I feel like this is more opportunity for something to go wrong or stop working when I didn't personal choose to use it but was forced to have. I will say I do like that whatever my heated seat was at from my previous drive that is what it is at when I start my car the next time. I did end buying the Honda rubber floor mats but soon found out that the from mats leave to much carpets exposed by the gas and brake pedals, so salt gets all over it. The back ones are just fine. I did end up buying the Weather tech ones and those are great and have amazing coverage so if you live in an area where it snows, I'd keep this in mind. I also bought the side covers for the back end and the mat for the back end, which really protects the sides and back of seats from scratches which we all know ever car is prone to. I did add the trailer hitch from the dealer vs aftermarket as I wanted it to look good and sit higher where it belongs verse the aftermarket which sits much lower to the ground. Overall, now with 13,000 miles on it I am still loving my pilot despite the other things mentioned above. I hope it last me a long time as this is my first time buying a Honda vehicle.

Frenchtown Auto is a nice place to buy a car. The cars look good and drive nice. They offer options and will work with you on the price and any additions that you want to purchase. You have to stay on top of them with follow up and stay on them. If you follow up and its unpreparied call they can get a bit short, the owner is very nice. I had to take my car there after buying it with a problem and they fixed all the problems that the car had. They were very nice, but follow up is difficult.

2023 Pilot Touring have owned for 11 months. Been all over the Southeast with it. Very happy with it. Absolutely no problems or issues whatsoever. Decided on it because of smooth quiet ride with nice large windows and visibility. Among best in class for spaciousness and cargo capacity. Would buy one again in a heartbeat.

All I can say is WOW (in the best way) about my recent experience with their service department and collision center. My family moved to Rhode Island in October after living my whole life in the upper Midwest. I found out about Saccucci Honda because I drove by it on the way to my parents house in Middletown. Jason Poston in your service department is a huge asset to the dealership. He has helped me with numerous things from day one, including things like spilled soda making the parking brake sticky to putting on my RI plates to inspecting the underside of the car when I drove over a curb recently. While I was there to get the underside of the car looked at I showed him some damage to the bumper from when a F150 had recently hit my parked car. I had been planning to take it to Quonset because they’re like 1/4 mile from where I live, but when I was in the service department Jason grabbed Michaela from the collision center and showed her the damage. I was dubious that they could repair it just by refinishing the bumper, and so she looked it over. I didn’t notice at all, but Michaela immediately saw that the trunk alignment was off. She reminded me that I’m able to take it anywhere I choose for the repair, so I cancelled my appointment with Quonset. Within a couple weeks they were able to get my car in for repair, and I had a lovely CRV to drive while it was fixed. I dropped my car off on Monday morning, and on Friday I got an email from her that my car was ready. But after that I got a call from USAA saying they found more damage and had to do another inspection. I was so confused! I called Michaela, and she immediately straightened me out. It really was ready. USAA just took their time calling me (they’d been out days prior). It’s a 2017 Civic, so I was SO pleased to see that my car looks good as new. And the inside and outside were beautifully detailed. I was so happy with my experience that I will continue going to Saccucci for all my needs even though my parents moved off the island and it’s a 40 minute drive each way. They’re just that good!

Definitely an upgrade of our 2017 Pilot. All black leather interior, driver memory settings. White exterior already getting good gas mileage. Haven't had this Pilot a month yet and we're still learning about all the extras. I had a Honda vehicle since 1988. Traded the old Honda in With 141,000 miles.

August 31, 2021 Saccucci Review I bought a new, 2021 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid from Saccucci Honda in Middletown, RI. Being new to hybrid vehicles, from the beginning when I walked through the door and asked to talk to someone knowledgeable about plug-in hybrids, I felt comfortable dealing with the Pre-owned Vehicle Sales Manager, Casey Martin. For the past 3 years, Casey has been driving the type of car I was looking to buy. He was honest and forthcoming about the pros and cons from his experience. I place a lot of value on dealing with companies and people that are trustworthy, technically knowledgeable and competent, and that provide high quality customer service, especially on big ticket items. When I asked Casey to put some numbers together regarding the total cost of the vehicle, the value of my trade-in, and the bottom line, I was extremely surprised to see that Saccucci was passing on to me a $5,000 Honda incentive discount off the MSRP for my new Clarity. That discount never came up in my dealings with other dealerships as I was pricing the very same car with other dealers in RI and MA. All other dealers were asking for the MSRP of $34,790 or close to it. Once I decided I wanted to buy the Clarity, there were a few hurdles to overcome. First, Casey needed to locate a Clarity from another dealer. Saccucci had sold their last one. Within a day he found one. From that point, the Saccucci team was very helpful facilitating the delivery and registration process, complicated by the need to schedule appointments to do in-person business in the MA RMV. Saccucci normally takes care of the registration process, but I wanted to get my new “EV” plate ASAP, which can take up to 2-3 weeks. Once a next-business-day appointment was scheduled, they made it happen covering for staff vacations, time off, etc.. This car is a big step up from a Nissan Altima. Lots of space and the ride is smooth. The engine is a bit noisy when idle(clicking noise from the direct injection), and there's also a drone sound when acceleratinf beyond 60mph(not sure if this could be cause of the new tires or not), but other than those noises, it's a smooth machine!

The entire process of buying a used car was excellent. Everything went smoothly and the sales rep, Donny Chakoian, went above and beyond the call of duty for the entire experience. Although they seemed short staffed that evening, he was able to help me and several other customers in a very polite and seamless effort to answer all questions. When you need a car, go to him!!

OVERVIEW: Found this used 2019 Pilot Touring with AWD, and 8 Passenger seating. It was in great condition. Exterior and interior colors were exactly what we wanted. Purchased it with aobut 74,500 miles on it, newish tires, roof rack rails (great for mounting a backback). Clean carfax. Overall, I'm super glad we got it. We hope we get 200k miles or more out of this Pilot just like we got on the old one The drivetrain is smooth and provides enough power to move us when all 8 seats are used. Lots of comfort and tech features came with this one. DRIVING: Very smooth transmission shifts. No gear hunting issues with the transmission like those reported on the earlier models, especially on the 2016. Feels more luxurious than sport which for us and the family, it's great. Plenty of power for a family hauler. You can use the paddle shifters in Sport mode. 4 AWD drive modes - Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand. COMFORT: It's super quiet inside compared to the 2011 model. Not as much road or wind noise like our old Pilot. The steering and suspension handles the road nicely, especially on our crappy California pothole-filled roadways. Lots of room. Nice leather seating with ample leg room. Feels a little bigger than our 2011 Pilot. Kids confirmed it feels a little bigger. Front and middle row heated seats are great! Adjustable armrests for front driver and passenger give good support. Plenty of leg room in 2nd row. Small adults and large kids in the 3rd row will be fine. Feels roomier than the 2011. Lots of cup holders. Seats are easy to move and adjust. Single push buttons to move the middle seats forward to get in and out of the 3rd row seats! Easy to flatten them as well to give you room to haul stuff. Rear door sunshades are included in this trim as well. Sunroof with tilt comes with this model, too. Entertainment and Technology: The entertainment system is really nice. 8in touch screen with Apple CarPlay (Android Auto as well) is excellent. Love how GPS displays on the screen while having the ability to have other apps open on the phone. 10 Speakers sound great. The multiple information dashboard can be customized. Looks sleek. The screen is big, bright, colorful and I set mine to show the tripometer information - miles driven, MPG, and range. You have other options - Nav, AWD torque distribution, entertainment info, etc. Outside temp, ECON mode, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keep Assist System, safety systems, and other indicators are on-screen. Rear entertainment system has yet to be tested but it can play Blu-Ray discs and has an HDMI port and AC plug for another input source. Comes with 2 wireless headsets and a remote control as well. So far, we found 4 USB charging ports. There are lighter ports available as well in case you need more power. Can't wait to figure out CabinTalk when we go on a road trip. You can communicate both ways with the rear passengers using the internal mics, speakers, and Rear entertainment headsets. The motorized rear tailgate with hands-free kick motion open and close is nice to have as well. Keyless entry system with auto-unlock and walkaway auto-locking features are included as well. Remote start is also included with the Touring trim. Safety: Bright LED headlights and well-designed daytime running lights. Auto high-beam LED headlights were a nice surprise.The Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane-Keep Assist are freakily awesome. Keep your hands on the wheel though because it's not perfect. The camera and sensors can get confused. But they're good to have for safety and driving assist, especially on long rides on open highways. Blindspot monitoring, rear cross-traffic sensing, and parking sensors are included and help in those situations. I always disable the collision mitigation feature due to potential problems with the system potentially braking at wrong and dangerous times.

3rd Pilot owned in last 15 years. Each with more advanced features. Always reliable if you do all the required maint. Always a good trade value too, even with 100K + miles ! Combination of practical space, reliability, fuel economy , and performance can't be beat......Love my Honda !!

It rides very well it's room for All My Children their wagons car seats and everything I need for them there's plenty of room to me it looks like a bus but it's reliable and I like it

On Sunday, August 7th, as my husband and I were driving our one year old Honda CR-V to the Newport Jazz Festival, we started to hear some odd sounds whenever we drove over a bump. My husband parked at one point and looked under the car and found that our splash guard underneath the car was the culprit. We were almost at Newport, so we decided to enjoy our day of jazz and window-shopping and then called the general number of the Honda road repair people, who suggested that we visit the Saccucci Honda dealership, which was on our way home. Usually, I dread being at a car dealership, enduring the slow wait for the completion of car repairs. But what a surprisingly pleasant experience greeted me at the Saccucci Honda dealership near Newport. First of all, a friendly golden retriever welcomed us when we walked into the waiting room. It even sat obediently so as to earn a doggy biscuit. I enjoyed petting the friendly, tail-wagging creature, who roamed around freely, dispensing affection and companionship. Apparently, there are other dogs as well, though I didn’t see them. I assume that if a client is allergic to dog dander, the dogs are corralled into a special “dander-free” area for them. As a dog-lover who lost my beloved black lab, Spartacus, two years ago, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to interact with this friendly pup. I had pleasant conversations with two older men in the waiting room, who also dog turned out to be dog-lovers. Ordinarily, I seldom talk to strangers in a car dealership. Within less than an hour, we learned that our splash guard had been hanging down, with the retainers not held in place. The repairman noted that it looked like the previous mechanic at our Honda dealership in Massachusetts had screwed up during our recent visit there, so they diagnosed our problem waived our bill, urging us to return to the previous dealership to have it fixed. The canine ambassador broke the ice and enabled me to enjoy two conversations with other canine fans that made the time fly. Needless to say, I was so impressed that the people at Saccucci dealership willingly took responsibility for our problem, even though they had not caused it. I heartily recommend visiting this dealership, if you are ever near Newport. Having friendly dogs roaming as ambassadors in a car dealership is a brilliant idea. I hope other dealerships pick up on this practice. After two years of Covid, we all need to start socializing again. *****Well done, Saccucci Honda!!! And I’m not related to any of the staff either. Have always owned the Odyssey. Still probably my favorite. Pilot is beautiful inside and out. I got the black edition. Could have more vents for a/c and storage space. Rides quiet and smooth. Easy to drive long distances. Averages about 20 mpg
