I’ve owned Toyota Camrys my entire adult life and can’t say enough about their reliability. I drove my last Toyota Hybrid Camry for 15 years so buying a new vehicle in 2023 was definitely a challenging experience for me! The team at Fred Anderson Toyota really made the whole process easy. They even came through with a reasonable trade in value for my 15 year old Camry! I felt like Ryan really had my families best interest at heart when he explained our finance and warranty options. Highly recommend the team at Fred Anderson Toyota to anyone wanting to buy a Toyota product!

No complaints overall on performance and durability. Only drawbacks is road noise. If you like to avoid road noise, this car is not for you. noise is too much than expected. i even went to Honda dealer to report noise, they replied me this is normal honda noise.

I love my Honda CRV! I have always driven Honda Accords, but when none were available, the sales rep recommended the Honda CRV. We took it for a test drive, and it handled very well. The seating is comfortable. The design of the interior and exterior of the CRV is excellent. Would definitely buy it again. Highly recommended!

I purchased my new 2014 Pure White Camry from Fred Anderson Toyota in Dec. 2013. I could not have been happier at that time with the service provided from the sales experience to my experience with the service department. That all changed when my vehicle was part of the defective paint issue they acknowledged in 2020. Trying to get it remedied became an extremely frustrating process over an almost 3 yr. period. I was ready to give up and sell the car at a loss but decided to try one more time. I called Fred Andersons Service dept. to discuss with the service manager, Bill DePriest. That was my lucky day! I was prepared for another exhausting process but Bill without question or hesitation immediately got the ball rolling to get my car repaired. He immediately got Jackson Trhlin involved in the scheduling and within 6 weeks my car was repaired and looks new...Every follow-up exchange I had with him was responsive, pleasant and respectful. Thanks to Bill I was finally heard and acknowledged. I felt the care and concern he had for my earlier exhausting experience. He made it his mission to get me taken care of as soon as possible...The level of service and responsiveness I received from him was amazing. Shoutout to Jackson too for getting me on the schedule quickly as well... My interaction with Bill and the expedient repair of my paint issue that he facilitated renewed my faith in Toyota and in particular Fred Anderson of Charleston. After owning 2 CRV’s I decided to go with something larger. I’d initially been considering the Pilot, but I didn’t want or need the third row of seats. I’ve had my 2022 Passport for exactly a year now, and I love it. It makes me happy every time I get behind the wheel. For the size of the vehicle the gas mileage isn’t bad; I’m averaging 15-18mpg city and 23-27mpg highway. It handles well and is very comfortable. I’m not a fan if the idle stop, but that seems to be standard on many vehicles now. I’ve become accustomed to turning it off immediately, so it’s not a problem.

Stopped in to take a look at a Rav4. Sales professional Austin Bryson showed us around and due to his professional instincts realized the car for us was a Venza. His high degree of product knowledge and friendly demeanor were the selling points. Austin reflects great credit on you, Mr. Anderson, and the team at Fred Anderson Toyota. We are very happy.

We purchased a 2024 hybrid sport touring last July 2023. We had been driving a BMW X3 prior to this car. So far I really enjoy the vehicle. It is not a BMW in terms of handling and engine performance. The upside is hopefully it will not cost as much to keep on the road as the BMW. Also gas mileage is pretty amazing for a large vehicle like this. Most of the time we average around 40 miles per gallon around town and 35 or so as long as we're not driving 75 plus miles per hour. The Bose stereo system is great, better than the BMW in my opinion. Even though the sunroof is not panoramic we didn't open the BMW sunroof because if it broke replacing or fixing it would have been three plus thousand dollars!

It's longer than most SUVs. I've been able to haul both drywall and plywood still closing the rear door. It's been great to travel with, the back seats fold all the way down.

The car was not one that I continued to have interest in. The dealership attempts to stay in contact, but does not have any other cars I am interested in.

Bought in 2017 with 35K on it, this is my second CRV and fifth Honda since '95. It now has @ 140K on it and it drives almost like new. I had one major repair, a new drive shaft ($1100) which was the FIRST major repair on ANY of my Hondas since '95. Reliable and then some. Great resale value.

My situation must have been the most difficult situation ever at a Carmax, even though it was tough and the Managers and Myself got frustrated at times Ed, Dave, Eric, and Chris (Carmax Charleston Managers) never gave up on me and worked hard to make this thing happen. I came to them looking for my dream car, the Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt or Evolution on a limited budget. They found the vehicle and brought it in, I bought the vehicle and there were a few problems with it, the guys took the car back no questions asked and found another one, even though there were some other issues that occured the Management staff at Carmax stuck by me and helped me make it happen. Anyone new to the car buying process should go see the team at Carmax, Charleston, as they will guide you through the process and explain it to you the whole way through! I bought the 2020 CR-V new in July 2020 and as of December 2024, have 39K miles on it. I have taken it to the dealer for regular maintenance. It has been trouble-free and drives very well. If I have one complaint, it's the glitchy infotainment system. I have had to do a factory reset on the infotainment system twice. Otherwise, a wonderful vehicle.

Looked internet and got a return call from sales person but I had already purchased vehicle from carmax at a lower price

This is a perfect car for me (80 yrs old, 5’1”) it is easy to get in and out, and I sit far enough from the steering wheel so I can drive with my arms in a much more comfortable position than in my 2009 Honda Civic I had before

2022 Passport only has 900 miles on it. Been driving for over 60 years and will say this vehicle is one of the more difficult ones to drive -- the long hood really makes it impossible to tell where the right front fender is when parking. I have a great feel of a vehicle while driving and can say that the Passport does not offer that feeling. Will say that Honda quality for final inspections is sloppy as the Passport came with all 4 wheels unbalanced. Passport is also a very low seller for a variety of reasons. Given all that, it's still a good vehicle that takes time to warm up to.

My CR-V EXL is outstanding overall. It was a little pricy but worth it so far. I have over 11,000 miles on it in a little over a year.

Love my 2014 CRV 130K miles and going strong. Very comfortable. The A/C has been a bit buggy. Had to put it into service mode a few times to get it working again. ( that's why 4/5 * on reliability ). Bought this car in 2017 with 36K. Plan is to keep it till 200K.

Showed up to purchase cr-v hybrid after working out the (out the door price) only to show up at dealer to a hail damaged cr-v after hour and half round trip, stood around the dealership waiting on salesman that was helping two other separate customers (15 min) or so which gave me time to check out the damaged cr-v.I bought from Bommarito before and was very happy. this ordeal was very sketchy.

Purchased a 2024 White CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid in September 2023. 8 months in to driving it and 10k miles later, I can say with confidence this is the best car I have ever owned. This is the first hybrid I have ever driven, and it drives/glides ever so smooth compared to the gas cars of my past. The finish and tech of the Touring really feels luxurious and makes going on long drives something to look forward to. I average anywhere between 32 and 38 mpg per tank of gas, depending on how much I am on the highway. My lone criticism of this vehicle is how much it struggles to go uphill, so much so that I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone who lives in the mountains. I live somewhere relatively flat so this is not much of an issue.

Went into the Carmax store just to look for a car for future purchase. I was greet immediately by Mr. Carl R Emery and from there things went smoothly. We asked about cars and he talk to us a little about them and told us to have a look and call on him if we need to look in, test drive or just ask question about any of the vehicles. We end up buying a car! Customer service was great and now we will have to drive the car for a little while before I will make any comments. OVERALL the experience.

Some early reviewers did not like the power, but it has been fine for me. I am not racing anyone. I like the “magic seat” capability. That has been useful many times. Driven literally across the country — California to Florida — with little fatigue. 60,000 miles and no maintenance issues.

I have owned this car since new. With 111K miles, I am still very happy with the choice. The 2014 was the last CR-V made with a conventional automatic transmission, and highly desirable for towing behind a camper. My service and repair bills have been exemplary.

I called the dealership Friday night an hour before closing. Tommy Bennett answered the phone. I told him what I was looking for and and he said let me check and I will call you back. He called me back 15 minutes later and said they had one coming in from Columbia, did I want to put my name on it? I said yes and to please send me all the information on the truck. Tommy emailed all the information with pictures, window sticker and the price they were selling it for. I had a maximum price of $ 60K that I wanted to spend. The sticker price was $ 66,870.00 and with discounts it was $ 58,370.00 Plus tags and taxes. He called me Monday afternoon and said the truck was in. I was there the next day. I took my daughter drove me so I could pick it up. We drove it and liked it and sat down with Tommy and he showed us the out the door price of $ 60,120.00 I bought it. It was a great experience for me and I highly recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking to purchase a new vehicle. My daughter is going back this week to see if she can find a used car too. Tommy Bennett did a Great Job and I highly recommend him too! He did everything he said he would and I am a Very Pleased New Truck owner.

With 40-48 mpg around town and close to 40 mpg on the highway, we have saved several thousand dollars on gas by trading our Odyssey for this CRV-hybrid. It can carry a lot of baggage and is really comfortable on long trips. Great heating and cooling system, top-notch reliability with low maintenance costs. Our other car is a 2014 CR-Z hybrid, and we've owned 8 Hondas to date.

Bought this CRV AWD Touring new in 2019. Have 130,000 miles on it, no problems. Only time it’s at the dealership is for regular service. Gets 33 to 36 MPG . Excellent vehicle!

After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.
