I was in the market for a Honda Odyssey because my wife insisted that it was the best. I used Cars.com to find the best deal and flew to Minot ND. The Team at Ryan Honda met me at the airport upon arrival. Drove me to the dealership. Had the Odyssey detailed and ready to go with a full tank of gas. My time with Cole was fantastic and a joy. I worked with Stewart in F & I and was very pleased. I drove the car from Minot ND back to Chicago and arrived the next morning. It was the greatest shopping experience I could ever imagine. After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

Good handling car in all weather. Blind spots in back causes me to pay extra attention to people coming up on my sides. Great mileage if you avoid excessive speed. Quite riding vehicle.
