I love love love this car! Meets my needs for city driving with room to haul plants for my garden. Handles well city and highway, good visibility - like the safety features. The only two negatives: the steering wheel feels a little hard/stiff (can be fixed with a cover) and for whatever reason Hyundai does not sell this car in Texas, so I had to order from an out of state dealer and ship it.

The thing goes like h*ll! Two bad things though, it's awful in the snow bc you can't rock it out if you get stuck. It keeps jumping back to neutral. The other thing is the location of the heated seat buttons, we keep accidentally pressing them. That's awful in the summer, and if you have a dog in the car with you he will keep pushing the buttons. Otherwise we'd buy it again. I need to see if there's a fuse for those heated seats that I can take out after our lease is up and we own it.

Just bought Kona EV used a few weeks ago, wanted to dip toes into an all electric vehicle. So far, so good. Fun to drive, has plenty of acceleration and loaded with tech (Ultimate trim). Using regenerative braking and one pedal driving is a learning curve, but worth figuring out. Great range, easy to charge...perfect for local and around town driving. Hyundai CPO warranty gives some peace of mind, anticipating years of trouble (maintenence) free driving.

We've had our 2019 Kona Electric Ultimate for almost 5 years. She's been a great car. Super easy to maintain -- tires, windshield wiper blades and fluid, cabin filters. The 12v battery needs to be replaced a bit. Otherwise, no complaints. She's fun to drive, easy to care for, low maintenance costs. Really good car!!

I bought 2021 Kona Ultimate w/ 16k miles at $40,000 cash a month ago. Awesome little car! I’m used to much larger luxury cars but with 15mpg and $6.50 gas it’s time to put them away for a while. This feels a bit like a rental car if you get that, but is actually loaded with options. It is very clever, very fast, a blast to drive and full of surprises. ‘Zippy’ is a great adjective. Drive it fast and fun all day, then plug it in overnight and you’re right back to 100% in the morning. Terrific range, decent stereo, not exactly luxury but pretty close. Smartest little car ever but not at all cheap or easy to find if you want the ‘ultimate’ trim instead of SEL. Only two similar in all of California. Downside was plenty of dealer games in San Leandro; other hassle is the STUPID arrangement of drive selector buttons on console. Really annoying, but o well, nothings perfect

While visiting our daughter from out of town my husband was looking for a truck. With two days remaining before we were to leave to come back to NE my husband found a truck at Car Mart that checked all the boxes. He spoke with Jimmy and confirmed some information and we went for a test drive. There was a little rotor noise and the two rear tires were quite worn. When we let Jimmy know about those concerns he had it pulled into their shop, they fixed the rotor and put two new tires on the vehicle on the spot. We bought it and our real "test drive" was our 1200 mile return trip to Nebraska. Our experience was wonderful and I would recommend CarMart, and Jimmy in particular to anyone shopping in the Manassas area.

My first EV, bought used in 2023. I've gone 2,500 miles in it and loved all of them. I thought about a hybrid before deciding I wanted a pure EV without redundant systems. I opted for the highest trim, with its adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled seats, nav, better audio, etc. The car has instantaneous power, and plenty of it; seating is comfortable in front and doable in back; a low center of gravity helps it dance through curves, and it feels nimble and quick at highway speeds. If you use it as a city hopper then standard wall outlet 110v charging is probably fine, getting you some 50 miles overnight. So far I still think "what's not to love!"

The young Lady Kennedy greeted me as soon as I parked, she was not pushy at all she pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for and told me she'll be near if I needed her, her demeanor was so pleasant until I asked her to show me around. Even tho I could'nt find what I wanted she still offered as much as she could and I vowed to go back to see her!

This car does any thing I ask of it compared to my ICE cars, no range anxiety. Best EV out there in its class by far. Buy the Kona EV for your 1st EV, at this stage no other comparison for the money. Only complaint, Dealers stink, they have no interest in selling or leasing them. Not enough profits in service plus lack of trained sales people. I had to insist on them to charge mine just to test drive it let alone lease it!

I didn't end up buying a car this time but they were very helpful with all my questions. There was no pressure. It seemed as if they wanted to make sure that I would not get the car unless it was perfect for me.

I am so pleased with everything about this vehicle! It handles great in each drive mode. The safety features are all encompassing. Though it’s small, it is comfortable. Going electric was scary at first, but I’m loving every mile of it. I get excited every time I get in it!
