I recently bought a 2020 Elantra with very low miles (39k). It looks great, like new, and drives like a large sedan should. And the gas mileage is great! Driving around town yesterday it got 37 mpg in normal traffic, when the spec is 30. And on the freeway I was getting well over 57 mpg on a very slight, non-visible decline at 77 mph. It "feels" comfortable. My only knock so far is the information on the center console could be brighter and I haven't figured out how to make it yet. The owner's manual was not included in the sale.

I bought my Elantra new. Never had to take it in for mechanical problems just front end due to pot holes. The car gave me an average mileage of 5.3/100km. I finally traded up to a newer Elantra. My old car had 483000km, no warning lights or repairs to the engine or transmission. Keep up with your maintenance

Would recommend this car 100 percent to anyone looking for a mid-sized sedan. The only thing that could be changed is a little bit more headroom and I wish my car sat up higher similar to the way an SUV like a Tucson does.

Vincent (Vinnie) Adduci was a great help ordering a new 2026 X7 xDrive40i. I wanted the rear steering for parking maneuverability (2VH--Integral Active Steering) without ordering the V-8 (2VH is standard on the X7 M60i). The BMW national website does not let you add the DHP option (dynamic handling package with 2VH) for the 40i when building a virtual X7. Vinnie knew you could order that option and also double-checked for me. The loyalty, discount, and trade-in value offered were excellent and so he ordered the X7 40i with all the options I wanted, including DHP, and it will be built in a few weeks. After getting 284K from our 2003 Elantra GLS and Currently 108K trouble free miles from our 2019 Elantra SEL so far, I just bought a Certified (Passed 173 Point Inspection) 2023 Elantra Limited (Scarlet Red) with 19K miles. It is the most beautiful and Safety Rich (Accident Avoidance) "High Tech" Computer on Wheels Car I ever bought (I'm 65 Years Young!). The Tesla Phase 2 "Highway Driving Assistance" is "Best in Class". Also, The 46-48 MPG average per TANK full (Non Hybrid) is simply amazing! I like the 8 Speed Manual Performance Mode when I want a more spirited FUN to drive ride! Infotainment system and Bose sound system is also very good. The only nice feature NOT including until 2024 Elantra is 360 degree camera monitoring. I might purchase & install an aftermarket 360 camera setup from a Stereo shop in a couple years if I really need it?

Great car, bought brand new at 13 miles,, just hit 100k miles with absolutely no issues whatsoever and to me it still drives and sounds as good as it did when I bought it off the lot, I do oil changes every 3-4k miles, definitely would recommend!! Love this car

This is my third car purchase from CAR MAX . A later model for the wife . A jeep Cherokee and is a 2019 with low mileage . She is happy and that makes US happy . The purchase was not hurried and no back and forth between Mr Smith and I . Really straightforward . Satisfied completely .

This is one of the best cars ever made. Perfect combination of power, gas mileage (I routinely get 42 - 44 mpg), and reliability. Car only requires oil changes every 5,000 miles or so; big servicing required at about 63,000 miles. I would gladly get another of these vehicles in a heartbeat.

Rees was my greeter and was an excellent source of information and sales expediter. Rees explained the CarMax process and then Listened to the car features I required. He did searches of car max inventory, searches of manufacturers’ sites for additional info, and requested transfer of a vehicle from another location. There was no pressure to buy (CarMax has a five day return policy). Paperwork was efficient, and I even got help getting both the car I bought and the car I arrived in home. I purchased this car new in 2017 with the intention of giving it to my daughter when she started driving in 2019. I ended up keeping it and bought her something else. I have been very happy with this car. It is approaching 100k miles and I have not had one major repair on it. I've always changed the oil on it at regular intervals. (Note-if you let the oil get low, the car may stall and the oil light will come on, especially when turning left, but that's on me.) I wanted an economical car and it continues to get great mileage--around 40 MPG on the highway. It has been on multiple trips to Florida and Georgia and it has done well. I am 6-3 and ride comfortably in the driver's seat. We are now a Hyundai family. As I think about replacing it with a small SUV, I will give Hyundai more than a fair opportunity to earn our business.

We bought our Elantra with 10K on the odometer and loved it since. The car has a great feel to it, it drives well, doesn't require much in terms of maintenance and meets all of our transportation needs. It's too small if you have a family of 4 or more, but for me and my wife it's quite ideal. Would recommend!

I interacted with several people, whose names I didn't get, which I regret because they were each one very good. However, Service Advisor Brittany McDonald went above and beyond all my hopes and expectations. On a scale of 1 to 10, she turned it up to an 11. I had a 1pm appointment Nov. 12 for a recall, but arrived 2 hours early. She signed me in, got my recall started ("lower the airbag pressure sensor setting" on my MX5 ND), and also helped me install a part I'd bought for my side mirror. She saw to it the car was cleaned and checked under the hood, and I was back out on the road before I was scheduled to arrive! Throughout, Brittany was pleasant, gracious, knowledgeable, informed, and obliging. I was actually smiling when I left an auto dealership, which hasn't happened before. Brittany is a rarity, and valuable. I'll be back.

Had a 2022 Elantra for 3 years only reason I got rid of it was the fact it was a lease and the 36000 miles was up and I did not need a 3rd vehicle. Used this car solely for road trips it had been to 28 states in total and never let me down. Car a bit low for bigger people like myself however very comfortable driving, got phenomenal gas mileage I could get from NH to VA on a single tank with gas to spare. Overall not a fan of Hyundai however I wouldn’t hesitate buying another Elantra. Only Con I ever had with this car was the fact it is so low to the ground it makes it a magnet for rocks to the windshield I did replace 3 while owning.

My daughter bought a 2015 Kia Soul today from Jeff Wiemann at Carmax Cy Fair. 15 minutes into our visit she realized Jeff had been her salesman back in 2013 when she purchased her 'first' car! He's a great salesman- I have always given 5 star reviews to carmax- but Jeff deserves a huge 5 star review too!

Overall the Elantra is a great commuter car. It has been reliable. We consistently average 35 to 40 mpg with mostly highway driving. The seats are comfortable.

I own a 23' Hyundai Elantra Limited, it has 37,000 miles on it. For the Elantra being the smallest sedan that Hyundai makes, I have been surprised by this car. My 2 previous cars were a Sonata Sport and a Sonata Limited. Pros: comfortable ride - I drive 60+ miles daily to work and I have no complaints about the ride of this car. Sound System: This features Bose speakers, as it is a Limited model. For a factory sound system, it sounds very good. Fuel Mileage: I get between 35 - 37 MPG with some of my daily drive being in stop and go traffic. Maintenance: the only things I have had to do were the normal oil changes, filter changes, and I have replaced the tires. Cool feature is the BlueLink phone app so you can remotely lock, unlock, start the engine to cool down or warm up the interior of the car Cons: hyundai took away the ability to save music to the car stereo and replaced the feature with "nature sounds" Homelink garage door opener was not an option in the Elantra Limited. I would recommend this car to someone that has a limited budget and is looking for a car that is fun to drive and has been reliable.

I have bought 5 new Hyundai models in the last 12 years. All good values and trouble free. The latest was a 2021 Elantra bought new for 18000 including tax and destination fees. Best car ever! I get 55 mpg at 55mph and solid comfort, amazing technology and style . Best warranty available is a bonus.

I first leased my 2018 Hyundai Elantra in 2018 (car was new with less than 50 miles on the odometer). After the lease was up, I opted to purchase the vehicle. It's been great. No major problems. The reason I gave the exterior only 4 stars is that the paint started peeling on the rear bumper (below the license plate) about a year ago. A Hyundai service person explained that the bumpers are plastic (not steel) like the rest of the car and the paint does eventually peel off. Outside of the rear bumper paint problem, this has been an excellent vehicle.

I bought my 2020 Elantra SEL with 10k miles on it in May 2021. I have loved it every day since buying it. I now have 50k miles and no major issues at all. I have only done regular maintenance. It's very reliable and fuel efficient. I'm averaging 37 mpg higway/city driving. The interior is simple and easy to use. Hyundai continues to use physical buttons which makes navigating the infotainment screen a breeze. 2.0L NA DOHC engine has been perfect for my needs. Yes, it's kinda sluggish, but it's got the power to get on the interstate and get around people if needed. A few of cons:( very minor in comparison) 1. The models with dual climate, the selection where is air comes out is very annoying. You have to the press the button multiple times for just face, face/feet, feet/defrost, etc. Just give me a dial, please 2. The seats do not have great lumbar support. 3. The headlights are poor in raining conditions. I would upgrade the bulbs to LED. 4. Piano black( around/on the shifter) get REALLY hot in the summer. You can burn your self. Be careful. I will note, at the time of writing this this model and others are easily STOLEN. List can be found online of all affected models and years. If you buy this car or any model affected, make sure the recall is taken care of. And get yourself a steering wheel lock. Thankfully, mine has not been stolen.
