I have a 2002 Rodeo LS 4x4, and I absolutely LOVE it! A very powerful, safe, stylish, DEPENDABLE, comfortable SUV. I only pd $600 for mine from a private seller. It had $1200 worth of tires on it! Since Isuzu stopped selling it, most ppl don't remember them- or aren't interested in a vehicle this old. Fine by me!! Besides all the 5 star features, it's a head turner. Having kept the maintenance tip top, I expect many more years enjoying her. You won't be sorry.

This was by far the best car buying experience I've had in 30 years! Each person I interacted with was informative, courteous, and non-pressure. It started with a contact with the online sales person, whom I met in person at the time of pick-up. Adolfo was a true gentleman and took the time to investigate every question for me before making the nearly 4 hour drive. He provided pictures and a summary of their standard inspection report details to back it up. Though the Sienna van was higher mileage, it was a recent trade-in and impeccably maintained. By supplementing the CarFax details, I was convinced this van should be safe and reliable for many more miles. Ultimately, we got a great pricing, too -- probably in part because many folks avoid higher mileage vehicles. Signing the paperwork with Adolfo was straigtforward, clear, and efficient, and then I finished up with a few more signatures with the finance office, which was also quick particularly because we didn't need financing. Honda of Ames provides the buyer a flash drive with all completed paperwork so I don't need to scan these for recordkeeping later. Such a nice touch! Not to mention, they have a comfortable waiting area and a nice indoor kids play area so my little ones were constructively occupied. In all, we were at the dealership probably about 90 minutes including test drive. I've been at dealerships for literally a half a day before! So, even though it's 4 hours from us, I'll be tempted to make Honda of Ames my go to source for car buying. Keep up the great work, and thank you!

Mine's going on 22 years old, and still runs like a top. Only issues I have are rust and burning oil - which were risks right from the beginning. I think If users were warned of these issues ahead of time, and given the chance to mitigate them, the Rodeo would have lasted beyond 2004. Of all the vehicles I've owned, the Rodeo have never left me stranded. It tows and hauls like a champ. Tons of torque, and ok mileage. Maintenance I've had to do over the years: Replace timing belt, radiator, water pump, fan clutch, spark plugs, Fuel Filter and fuel pump, and vehicle speed sensor. My plan is to get a 2015 Nissan Xterra after the Rodeo finally dies, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon.

My 2007 Ascender is our daily driver. It has almost 260,000 miles and still run like new. Quiet and comfortable, cold ac, safe to drive with solid body, strong engine and powerful transmission. Driven daily up and down the hill where I live since buying this car. Never had a major issue. Very easy to do your own DIY repair and maintenance. Cheap replacement parts and easy accesibility because it has almost similar parts used on Chevy Envoy, Trailblazer, GMC, Rainer etc.. I wanted to buy a new SUV but I can’t because this SUV doesn’t want to give up. I love it!

He didn’t try and scam me out of anything I didn’t need and was very gentle and caring when it came to how I felt as a customer. I recently (3/07) purchased a left over 2006 Ascender. With the high discount and the dealer offered 0% 5 year financing, It was an offer I could not refuse. I hated to part with my 2001 Trooper, but they offered more on trade in than I expected. So far (1300 miles) no complaints. Gas mileage is as advertised. Drove in mud, slush, ice in upstate PA two weeks ago without any problem. Seems to have more room than the Trooper and a lot more creature comforts (I got the Ltd.). Still some new 06's hanging around and plenty of 07's. As the car is a Chevy TrailBlazer clone, parts should not be a problem. 7 year 75K warranty beats Chevy's.

230,000 miles only routine maintenance. Mud and snow are no problem. TOD works great. cavernous interior, great headroom, great visibility. Going to buy another one. Wish they were still around, and available with the Isuzu diesel engine.

The isuzu is very reliable mine was sitting for 4 years, cleaned it up and it spins like a top turns over good. And I did a muffler delete and it sounds very good I have a 3.2l v6.

Zeke was wonderful to work with; he handled everything independently and it was great to not get the run around with multiple managers and sales people. He got me a fair price for my trade in and when the car I bought had a few mechanical issues (100k+ mi so not unexpected) he went above and beyond to figure out the issues and get me safely on the road. I bought my 99 Rodeo in 1998, so twenty years now I have owned it. It's basically been reliable, but as is common the gas gauge doesn't work so I use the trip odometer. It has 140.000 on it now and still runs well. I get 22 mpg driving 65-70 on the highway. AC still blows cold. I haven't put many parts on it, just a radiator, starter, and the usual maintenance parts, brakes, etc. All in all a good SUV
