I like pretty much everything about this car. Owned 3 years and only problem has been a minor issue with the tire pressure sensors. If you don't mind paying for premium fuel and getting so-so mpg, I'd recommend giving it a look.

I own this vehicle and bought it with 168k miles. Maintenance is often sometimes, and can be expensive but if you can get past that the car performs well and handles well too. Would recommend as a cheaper/reliable car.

A really exquisite driving and ownership experience with this car. The X-Type (X-400) is a beautiful blend of elegance, comfort, and performance without feeling ostentatious. In our snowy winters, its AWD capabilities are especially welcome. Like any car, if it has been faithfully maintained, the X-400 will give its owner years of reliable service.

I have a 2003 xtype manual AWD. One of the best cars I've owned. Had it 8 years now and no mechanical issues. I've replaced the front suspension parts as needed. Mine has 143000 miles on it and will still do 130 mph. Fun car to drive, and very reliable. The parts are fairly inexpensive if you don't buy from Jag. And any repairs or maintenance is pretty simple like any other car. It has gone through tires faster than most cars but still worth owning. The one problem I have with the car is, insurance tends to be really high for some reason. The car does depreciate fairly rapidly. I will have this car many more years.

Was just rear-ended in my 2003 X Type 3.0, by a half-ton traveling at highway speeds. I was stopped at a light. I lost pretty much everything in the trunk but walked away from the accident. The car had been in perfect condition inside and out and had given me months of uninterrupted service. The car was a perfect match in color for my XK8 - both black with tan leather. It was quickly becoming my favorite car ever, even though it had a way to go to match the Jaguar convertible it matched. The car was universally liked by every one who saw it.

feels like new at 104000ks, vastly undervalued, I have owned many vehicles over my time from Holden, Ford, Toyota, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia. Two Kia from new plus a Suzuki almost new. X-Type has been the best.

The X type is a solid, dependable sure footed car, but with a lot of finesse and class for this price range. I must declare a bias , I used to be an engineer for Jaguar cars in the UK and was involved in the powertrain development (Its not a Ford engine). At the time, I wasn't so keen, And I was a BMW guy, but now, over many years I realise for the used price the car is incredible! The alternatives this price range for winter cars, are old Buicks or Ford, and the level of engineering doesn't compare. I love the suspension ride compromise chosen- sporty but great for the terrible mid west roads, I like the steering feel for a daily car. The manual gear change could be nicer and firmer. Some of the interior choices of materials are a bit down market but way better than anything American. Nice dependable car, feels solid. wish the brakes were better. Watch for rust on the rockers

Joe was my go-to guy at one of the lots where this vehicle I was interested in is they have four lots in Des Moines. It's always wanting to come up there and have the vehicle taken to another shop nearby and pay to have it inspected so I can find out what it needs and decide if I wanted this still purchase it with whatever it needed and that was no problem but they wanted me to fill out the credit app online and that was cool and Danny but there's no reason to pull a hard hard copy of my credit report if I'm coming up to go look at the vehicle because if there's more things that need to be done to where then I want to put into it I probably wouldn't do the deal and I'd have a hard thing on my credit report that I wouldn't be able to get taken off so other than that them telling me to go do that even though they knew I wanted to get it checked first was my only irritation. But something came up and I had to register another vehicle that I have in my personal access right now so I may have to wait a couple months before I want to go up there and do that but my job allows me to travel all over so I might get to go up there if I can this month and check out the vehicle to see if it's something that I really really want before someone else gets it so yes Joe I appreciate you working with me and look forward to consuming this business transaction soon. It really feels like a rear wheel drive (I hate the feel of FWD). The rear end plants firmly in a curve, but on acceleration through the curve, there is no wash out of the front (understeer). It almost feels like it's rotating through the turn. I was looking for an 02, 03, or 04 because they have the viscus coupling that proportions torque, front to rear. It is said to drive like a RWD and it does. I wasn't disappointed by the performance of the 3.0 V6 and gear ratios are excellently matched. The interior won't accommodate a very tall person but very comfortable for average stature. Ride is somewhat firm and a bit noisy which is, I'm sure, a trade off for handling. I paid the high end of the price range because of EXTREMELY low certified mileage and excellent condition and am happy that I did. I've only had it for a few months so reliability is yet to be determined. I am optimistic because of the Ford Mondeo platform on which the X Type is based. Contrary to popular belief, I find that to be a plus for the X Type.

I have owned 4 of these X-TYPE Jaguars. Never had any trouble with them and they have been great winter cars! All wheel drive is the best out there. Easy to service and take care of.

This was my first Luxury car I bought Also the first car I bought online and in another state. This car was everything I thought it would be for a luxury car. The only down side was there was a lot of maintenance need to keep this kind of car running correctly. But would I do it again, YES I would nothing beats drive a Jaguar.

I was skeptical of purchasing a vehicle across the country sight unseen but Rami did a great job providing video walkthroughs and pointing out any imperfections. Rami was quick to reply to text messages and phone calls making the process seamless. The vehicle was shipped across country and dropped off in my driveway within three day. The entire process and the condition of the vehicle exceeded my expectation.

Bought this for my teen son as a first car. Was insistent he learns to drive stick and living in NE wanted solid safe car for not much money. I put winter tyres on it and its unbeatable in the snow. He has a safe car that's reliable, Ford money to maintain and its a cool black Jag for him. Sorted!

Always garaged, this Jag has been pampered. My wife (second owner) drives it 2K miles a year and loves every mile of it. All-wheel drive gives her the confidence to drive in snow and ice and the heated front seats keep her warm. Powerful and maneuverable, the X-type wraps classic Jag styling in a smaller package.

Myles the sales person was very helpful he bent over backwards to help us find a truck he was very knowledgeable and very patient with us. Glen came out and spoke with us and gave us the pros and cons of buying a new truck or used we decided on the new truck and thanks to the finance guy.

This Jaguar is the perfect blend of reasonable size, interior, trunk, etc. Handling is superb, as is comfort and accessible controls. My reason for sale is having 3 cars, and two drivers that is one too many.

The Jaguar is an excellent sedan to own and drive. Driving performance was excellent. In snow, it was the best sedan that I have driven in a Lake Tahoe blizzard. The All-Wheel Drive performed in the worst conditions. As a daily driver, it is comfortable and frugal. The interior is leather, but it is Spartan. The Automatic can shift to a sport mode that helps in traffic or running up mountain roads. On freeways, the V-6 3.0L lets you run easily at comfortable speeds. Yet, it allows you to accelerate when needed with crisp control.
