I have two Jaguars. The first a 2001 XK8, I bought in 2015 from the original owner. The 2nd, a 2007 XK, I bought after the original owner traded it in to a dealer in Oregon. I had it shipped to me in Alabama. Both are a similar Pacific Blue, the 07 being Indigo Blue, slightly darker. The 01 has Ivory interior, the 07 has beige. The 01 has quite a bit of recurring maintenance from a host of items that needed redesigning, which was accomplished on the 07. Everything needed was done. The big differences between the two cars is trunk space and cabin space. The 07 Cabin accommodates a taller person where the trunk on the 01 would hold a VW Beetle and easily close. I redesigned the 01 upper shock mounts and rebuilt the mounts with new polyurethane bushings that should outlast me. I have replaced them with OEM 3 times since 2015. That chirping sound you hear is the shock mounts, metal to metal chirping. Anyway, the 01 XK8 is a nice automobile that needs near constant attention. The 07 XK is a Super Luxury GT sports car that is easy to maintain and so far, bulletproof. Nothing that I have driven in it's class compares equally. Everything else has a harsher ride and are regular sports cars. I have owned Corvettes, BMW's, Acura's, Mercedes and Porsche's. None compare. So far, I've had people compliment me on my Miata (the 01) and Corvette (both the 01 & the 07)... Jaguar is a brand of only a few in my location... very rare and no one knows what it is... up close, they just can't read, I guess. The guy was staring at the Jaguar emblem when he called it the best looking Miata he had ever seen. LOL!

I have owned 3 corvettes before this car and have to say, this XKR has had more head turning photos and washes than the last 5 years of miles driving summers. It is such a powerhouse and joy to drive with the top down while listening to the supercharger kick in. With its original MSRP at $105K, these represent an outstanding value in a high performance touring sports car, I have nothing but good to say about my 2010 XKR ❤️

Bought the 2008 coupe with 68,000 miles in 2016. Indigo blue with metal flake, I felt it was a little over the top but it had a beautiful tan interior in perfect condition and burled wood dash. The car paint was damaged with I guess bird droppings the size of a quarter over the hood mostly. The dealer was a used car lot in Oceanside CA with some higher end cars and commercial trucks. I drove in on a Friday and expressed interest in the car, the salesman said why don’t you take it home for the weekend? So I did . Took it back to San Diego and since the Jag dealer there was open and luckily not busy I asked for them to check it our which they did. $225 later the dealer said it was good. Put up on the rack and had me go into the shop having the mechanic showing me underbody ( “has 8 years experience servicing XKs”). Having been a working stiff all my life I felt like I was the King of Norway with this very special treatment, as a teenager in 1968 there was a Jag dealer on Beach Blvd with two surf boards on top of my VW and sandy feet I walked into the dealer and saw Canary yellow XKE for about 11,000$. My 66 Bug cost me $1550 with 50$ a month payments. I think they humored me because we had our 17 year old girlfriends Bikini clad with us. Asked how much are the monthly payments, of course he said “ son most pay cash”. I now have 185,000 miles on my 2008 XK. Still runs great with the same engine and trans. At about 95,000 miles the trans seals started to leak. San Diego Jag agreed to fix the seals, went to two other Jag dealers who refused and would only install a new one or rebuilt. 750$ later I am out the door with that trans still going strong. Had problems with the AC drain pan leaking into the passenger side floor. The fix was to replace the drain with 3/4” drain assembly took several trips to the dealer for the final fix to work. The most aggravating has been the AM radio which I am told needs a 4000$ replacement of a modal. Siri XM works fine with the 5 disk player. Had have the car painted, hood and passenger side of the car. Oceanside certified Jaguar body shop. Had a bad door ding with the bird droppings, after 3 weeks I got the car. Afraid I would end up with a spotted leopard, it was perfect! My daily driver is so much fun driving thru Newport to my job every day. Getting raved by Ferraris another exotic cars occasionally just caps my day.

I have owned this jaguar x k for 3.5 years and fully enjoyed the drive and the looks i get every where i go. If you want a toy that is very reasonable in price this is it.

I have owned the XK for 7 years, it is my second Jaguar, and overall, it is an excellent car. The timeless design combined with the power of the normally aspirated 5.0 V8 make it a winning combination. Even after all these years I still enjoy every drive I take, weaving in and out of traffic at 90 mph effortlessly is just exhilarating. While the car has been reliable over the years it is not Japanese car reliable. An electrical issue that drains the battery has persisted throughout my ownership. If I leave it at the airport for 5 days it is fine, however, if it stays there 7 days it will not start. Yet the excellent technicians at Jaguar Central in Houston could find no fault, but that did not discourage them from charging me $300 – and to tell me there was nothing wrong with the car. So, I now just put it on the charger and when I am gone for more than 5 days I take an Uber to the airport. Incidentally, that was also the last time I took my car to the Jaguar dealership – I might as well pay less for a useless diagnosis. The engine itself has been very reliable and I do drive it hard and fast. But as I mentioned before it is not reliable in the Japanese car sense, so did have to change a seal in the crankshaft that was dripping oil. Additionally, all the control arms as well as the shock absorbers had to be changed. But this is probably more a function of the poor road conditions in Houston, rather than shoddy manufacturing. I also had to replace the roof lining as it came unglued and fell on my head – that on the other hand is shoddy manufacturing (or at the very least cheap glue) and should not happen in a car in this price category. The Achilles heel of this car is it’s cooling system. In both the XK and my wife’s XF the water pump had to be replaced. Additionally, most of the parts that feed the water pump had to be replaced within few weeks of each other. The reason is that the parts are plastic and very poor quality, so the lifespan is sort of like an iPhone battery doomed to fail. For probably a few hundred Dollars more they could have made the parts out of aluminum and the cars would have been bullet proof. If you can live with the slightly poor build quality and inept dealer support it is a magnificent car to drive.

I purchase the blue 69 restomod Camaro over the internet. I had Alan Gordon as my sales representative.He was on top of it all the way . He reassured me that everything was on the up and up . Did everything he said he would . Got the car to me in California and couldn’t be happier! If they have what you want , trust is their main goal. Thanks Illinois Motirs and Thanks Alan . I purchased this car about 6 years ago (5.0 n/a XK). From a design perspective, it still holds up and looks modern. I actually like the looks of the base models as they don't have all of the side skirts and aero that change the lines of the original design a bit. The front was slightly redesigned in 2012 and looks a little more aggressive. Performance is great, end the sound of the engine when you get on the gas is addictive. Heated/Cooled seats with 16 way adjustments are great. Back seat is good for some soft luggage. I don't put a lot of miles on the car, but besides yearly oil changes my main cost has been tires. The 20" wheels & tires on this car look great... but stay away from potholes if you can. If you can get the car with 19" wheels... do it... they have some more sidewall. I've replaced both front tires due to pothole hits splitting the sidewalls. If you can't get the 19s, get a road hazard plan when you buy tires. The only other complaint is the touch screen. It is very outdated and slow... only saving grace is that it supports usb mp3 playback (no bluetooth music... only calls). There is not a ton of aftermarket add ons for these cars (exhaust and wheels) and if you get into an accident in an old one, don't be surprised if your car gets totaled out for even seemingly minor damage due to the cost of aluminum body repair. I love this car for roadtrips with the wife, and weekend drives... but I have a Subaru for driving the kids and bad weather.

Since I was seeking a rare used car, I bought this car online with only a FaceTime view ( I had test driven one prior but missed out on buying it). Still awaiting the closing details, but so far am very pleased ( and I told the sales manager so).

Got my 12 XK and absolutely love the lines. The wide hips in the rear with growl of the exhaust makes me happy. Absolutely love the car, don't care for no Bluetooth car play, but making due. 83K om the odometer and paid 12 for it, not bad. Will enjoy beefing up suspension, PowerPlant and make this egg plant colored exotic my baby!

I was recently at classic cars of Sarasota and found the receptionist very friendly as well as the manager. There are many interesting cars in various price ranges. Most were in good to excellent condition. It was a very positive experience.

Value for dollars spent on is a great deal. Good investment representative was honest would buy from again. Easy to deal with Herb and staff David were helpful.

After searching for months, this jewel fell into my lap! I have been a "Jag" junkie since I was a kid. Everything about this car was well thought out (less the rear seats). Available driving options, comfortability, handling, and exterior design is second to none! I have the convertible version which just screams sexy! Combined 5.0 litre power plant with the factory exhaust system makes this jem an absolute pleasure to drive. I personally recommend this car to everyone.

After finding my dream car at North State Auto. I went in to take a look. I was happy with the condition of the car so I sat down with Tim to see if we could make a deal. He was easy to work with and got me a good interest rate on my loan. The process was easy and to be honest was a lot faster than I expected. Bought the car with 6,400 miles and it still only has 26,000 after 8 years. So far, nothing has ever gone wrong with it - very happy. Classy look that never gets old.

This car is smooth riding and looks fantastic. I am 6 feet and I fit comfortably in this ride. Very reliable and maintenance free. Truly a head-turner everywhere you go. I have 3 Jags (xk8, XF & XK) and this is one of my favorites. Drive it--you will see what I mean.

While Car shopping I landed on a Mercedes Benz that KC car Gallery South has for sale, I contacted them to inquire about it. If you are reading this you know the car is stunning to look at from virtually every angle. When searching to add a convertible to the fleet, this was not on my list. A MB SL550 would have been nice, but the maintenance costs are just too exorbitant for a seasonally-fun driver. Boxsters and Z4's were also contenders. What you don't know is how potent the XKR is on the road. It not only keeps up with my Audi 4.0l twin-turbo V8, it provides nearly the same comfort level. It slices through corners, just waiting to let the tail loose. Pay attention! Top-down motoring is a joy. There is minimal wind buffeting and you can carry on a conversation without raising your voice up to around 75mph. Over 75, who want to be talking anyway? Yes the touchscreen is a bit dated and not bright enough, but it is more intuitive than reviewers have given it credit for. I was able to easily learn the system in a few minutes. The glorious burble of the supercharged V8 gives you goose bumps. If it doesn't, go have fun in a Miata.

I was looking for a used luxury sports car and had finally made up my mind to buy another Jaguar because of the extreme luxury interiors and reliability I had with my Jaguar XF. I purchased a 2013 XK-R with Dynamic Pack, Speed Back, and Black Pack. It's amazingly fast, best exhaust note ever, and absolutely gorgeous to look out. Why not buy an exclusive car like this? Read all the reviews. Once you drive one, you'll understand why the pro reviewers say this is the best GT car ever!
