I purchased my black on black coupe in 2005 when it had 32000 miles and have driven it sparingly. Today it has only just over 37000 and it has been almost flawless! I did have to replace a headlight washer at the dealer when I first bought it (expensive), but she hasn't been back to the dealer since. I replace the oil with Mobil 1 full synthetic every 6 months and use Sonoco 93 premuim gas. The car runs great, makes no unwanted noises, and has no rust or corrosion whatsoever. Ford did a great job with these. I also have a 2006 Mercedes SL500 and they drive very similarly with almost the same horsepower (300). I have never felt that I neded anything more. These cars are well engineered and will surely appreciate in value over time!

The moment I walked through the door, I knew this was the dealership for me. First things first, no pressure! I was braced to be swarmed as soon as I walked. But no, just a wide selection of vehicles, chill sales people and most importantly no pressure to buy. I told them the car I wanted to test drive. If you are after comfort and looks, this is the car for you, but, and here's the big but, be prepared to spend more than normal for maintenance. It is a Jaguar, and that is a small company, and there are not that many dealers to take the car to, and when you do, bring a full wallet or a very good credit card. Not a sports car. This is a grand touring car, and not something for the race track. It is pretty quick for what it is, and it does handle well.

I was recently at classic cars of Sarasota and found the receptionist very friendly as well as the manager. There are many interesting cars in various price ranges. Most were in good to excellent condition. It was a very positive experience.

For a SPORT vehicle. . . surprisingly comfortable. Stable. Secure ride. For city and highway. Inexpensive as used. . . as a four passenger seating area. . . not for family with children. Rear seating is close and best used for shopping items. Once repairs are done they last. The 1999 Jaguar xk8 convertible. inexpensive to Insure as a classic.

I've only owned my XK8 for six months, so I cannot speak to my own long-term experience, but I researched and followed these cars for four years before buying one. It's one of those cars you buy because you want one--bad. Jaguars, at their best, appeal to your heart. That doesn't mean you have to turn off your brain, though. I can say that my car was well-designed and well-built. It feels solid and tight and built to a high standard. I've owned mostly Japanese cars--Hondas, Acuras, and a Lexus, which I still own. These are not true sports cars; they are luxury GTs. That's important to note. I had a Honda S2000 before this--totally different animal. The X100 (XK8 and XKR, 1996--2006) is a heavy car--almost two tons, so even with a V8 under the bonnet, they aren't "fast" by today's measure. (The supercharged XKR is the way to go for those looking for more of that kind of thrill.) I gave my car a 5 for performance because to me it perfectly fits the bill for what it is. It's composed, quiet, and handling is capable, not corner-carving. The steering is precise but light. It does not wander on-center. The car is gorgeous inside and out, and the interior is bordering on sumptuous. The seats are the most comfortable and supportive for long trips I've ever owned, and I've had some nice cars. Mine is a Victory Edition final-year model, with the "soft-grain" leather interior. This leather is soft and supple but it wears really well. My interior looks new and my car has 52K on it. As for reconditioning and upkeep: these cars are all 20--30 years old. They will need this and that. Buy in the best condition you can find and you'll come out ahead financially over buying one that needs work. (Unless of course you're a skilled DIY.)

Two very comfortable seats, convertible and a V8. Perfect mid life crisis car for me. This is a fun little car that fits 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk and gets there quickly.

As a “boomer” this was my first foray into online car purchase. Being old school I am used to “ kicking the tires”, not possible in this format. The owner, Larry provided a detailed description of the vehicle, which was an accurate portrayal, no “ surprises”. The process does involve paperwork flowing back and forth, Larry laying out each step carefully and accurately. I appreciated his responsiveness to questions/ concerns. This XK8 still turns heads and is a very good value for the money spent. These cars wereover $60k when new and they still ride and perform exactly as intended. You can't have more fun with the top down for the price!

I own a 2001 xk8 and have no regrets about this car which I use mostly on weekends. It is still a head turner when I sit at the light and other motorists come close up and recognize the beauty. The ego ge is quiet, it sits comfortably on the road and “ sprints out of the block very fast and maintains its incredible speed.” I love this car.

I always wanted a Jaguar XK-8 in the early 2000s, so bought a Coupe NEW from Rosenthal in N. VA. I love to drive it and it is a "Head-Turner". I have had it maintained/serviced religiously, and have had no issues of note . . . and it is currently performing like new! Selling only because my wife has difficulty getting in & out due to age issues and wants a sedan!? It is a GREAT car that I am regrettably selling.

I recently purchased a 2006 XK8 to replace a 2001 that caught a deer. The '01 basically survived, but sadly the cost of replacing the hood drove the insurance company to total it. IMO, this is one of the most beautiful cars produced in the last 25 years. And there is nothing being built anywhere today that looks as good. These are not loud cars for as fast as they are (electronically limited to 155 mph). With the top up, you can have a very quiet conversation with your passenger. You might have to interrupt your chat briefly while overtaking loud muscle cars that sound like they're about to explode at high speeds, but that is a mild nuisance that will be left behind in short order. Also, the driver does need to actively watch the speedometer because of this. These cars are so quiet and poised it is difficult to tell the difference between 70mph and 100mph by looking out the window, especially if there is no other traffic. There are mechanical issues, especially with the older models. Most of the significant ones (timing chain tensioners and cylinder sleeves) should have been taken care of by now. And these were mostly already corrected in the post 2000 models. All 20 year old vechicles are going to have faults, but these are very solid vehicles, and with reasonable maintenance, they are very reliable.

I owned a 2006 XK8 before purchasing my 2010 XKR, both are convertibles. This was a beautiful vehicle, and I loved driving it on trips and nights out. The car was not turbo charged but had sufficient power on the road, and plenty of speed. The only issue I had was that the battery would tend to lose charge and this affects the performance occasionally yielding a restricted performance or stall mode message. I started using a battery maintainer and this seemed to solve the problem. Other than that, the car was a blast to drive and I recommend it if you can find one in good condition and a service record with under 60,000 miles.

So far so good,am interested in a car there.Seems like a nice guy. Have not meet in person yet. Planning a trip to see him and the car in person.

I just bought this Coupe with 60,000 miles on the clock. The vehicle had been in a minor accident, but is still in decent condition. He runs like a stallion! I plan on changing out the transmission filter/fluid to keep the transmission shifting smoothly. (I am currently replacing the valve chains/tensioners on April 2nd, 2024). I'll keep working on the interior and plan on replacing the old headlamps with LED units. I also plan on removing (and selling) the rear seats, replacing them with slide bars for extra luggage room. This really is a two-seat, Grand Touring automobile, not a Sports Coupe. Since I have no family (and never will) the XK8 will allow me to travel at 1000+ mile stretches in comfort. The style is impeccable and the engine's smooth performance is pulse-quickening. Since I live in Northwestern Oregon, the convertible wasn't a practical option, so I sought out a Coupe. (I'm happy that I did). Put your money into restoring one of these Grand Touring machines. You'll gain more attention than the Corvette, Mercedes, Audi, Nissan and Porsche owners and you'll enjoy the ride. Come on. You know that you really want one, or you wouldn't be reading this.

Love my car. Esthetically beautiful. Only two thi gs i can complain about-the cup holder design sucks and rims made cheaply chrome plated not chrome rims. Began peeling off immediately. Other than that love my car. Oh and if your expecting superior speed. You'd be disappointed.

This ’97 convertible is 24 years old, has 83k miles, and except for a new electrochromic rearview mirror, driver’s side seat control module, a vacuum line and a third set of Pirellis, is 100% original, and looks and runs like showroom new. Most people, particularly in America, don’t understand that Jags are for savoring, not abusing. Treat the car like the woman you love or a fine Bordeaux and it’ll last you forever. Abuse it and you’ll spend more time in the repair shop then on the road.

I am 6ft.4inches..plenty of leg room and head clearance..classic styling..A very comfortable car for long road trips and fun to drive. A car that will climb in value like the XKE..

It's definitely not the car you want if you're looking for a family rover . . . there is a back seat, but my 12 year old grand daughter can barely fit in it! It is, however, a car that makes you want to drive. I don't think I've ever driven the XK8 and not have a smile on my face! Even wider smile when you push that button and the top peels back. Why Jaguar automated every single function in their cars I will never know, but it's nice to know that you can move that steering wheel a micro-inch down and closer to you if you want to. I will never regret having owned a Jaguar.

This is my second van I purchased here. My first one was a 1996 Aerostar back in 2015 and it was really clean and drove nice. I never had major issues. It was best experience and best used vehicle I got. It ended up getting t boned in little less than year having it. I was happy to have found another van there. I called and asked if they had vans. The one they had was higher priced than what I could get. Brandon told me he was getting one next day. When I talked to him on phone about it, it sounded like it would be a great van. I am happy to have made my purchase there. I have had great customer service experience from there. Also when you walk away making a purchase, you are happy with vehicle and walk away without regret. This replaced an S Class Merc.that I drove for 22yrs a 180 for sure on the XK8..but can one be in "love" w/a car?..bought in 2006 with 19Kmi.has only 31K now.but every mile I treasure,,great for amateur racing too if you deign to.

To me these cars are absolutely timeless. Stunning design in and out. I sold my first Coupe like an idiot. It wont happen again. The econo-boxes and the cubes you encounter on the road today are hideous to look at. These Coupes are a thing of the past. Only less than 1000 Coupes were imported to the USA in 1997. Glad to report one is in my garage. "Paintxpert" Shine Since 1969! Happy Motoring!!!
