Jeep passing jobs have been corroding at welds & hinges due to 2 diff. Metals built together. Issue for 15+ years!, recalled opens need to be addressed, my 3 rd wrangler and loved it! Great freedom ride, sport driven, outdoorsy attitude, love Jeep Wrangler the makers need to fix this cheap paint job causing our jeeps to rust prematurely!

I had a very pleasant experience buying pre-owned Buick Enclave at Midwest Autoplex. They had exactly what I needed and the best deal I could find in town. The car runs great. Bought my used 2 door at about a year old, with 17,000 miles. Had a couple issues initially: passenger seat got stuck, and airbag light was on. But once I had those fixed, the car has been completely reliable. And I found out that the 2 problems were related. So really it was only 1 problem. The stuck seat has impacted the air bag sensor or something. Loads of fun driving this thing through the snow. 1 foot, 2 feet. Fluffy, or packed by the snow plow. It didn’t matter. Shift it into 4wd and point it where you want it to go. It just went over all of it, and without any drama. Nice and slow. No need for momentum. It just went right through the snow . Can’t wait to take it off road with some friends. As for everyday driving, I love it. You just have to know what you’re getting into. It’s not designed to be a comfortable or sporty car. It’s loud, rather uncomfortable on the bumps, the 2 liter engine sounds like a dish washer, etc. But, those are also all the quirks I love about it. It’s not pretending to be something it’s not. I would’ve gotten the manual roll down windows if I had the choice. It’s just the opposite of my other car, a Macan turbo. It’s just a good old fashioned, honest vehicle. The engine and transmission combo make for a pretty quick team. I’d say 0-60 in about 6 seconds. That’s pretty xxxx quick for a 4000 pound truck designed to go off road. Rarely do I push it that fast of course. I like to drive nice and slow in this car. This is my car to go slow and smell all the roses. I love it. I’m averaging just under 20 mpg driving mostly in NYC. Not bad. Best mpg I’ve had from all my suvs. The hardtop only takes 10 minutes to take off. But it’s still a pain in the xxx. It’s definitely a 2 person job. And then there the issue of where to store this big thing. It’s not like NYC houses have big garages. We’ll see how often I take it off once the summer comes around.

It's A Jeep, built for fun and can go through anything, I have the 4cyl so not racing anyone. This little toy can still go through the same things everyone else can just much much slower, although great value for the money.

I am new to Wrangler and have not had it long enough to speak to the overall reliability. However, it has been every bit of what I had expected. I am glad I got the JL as it has many preferred features over the JK. I am keeping mine stock but a buyer can do anything they like to modify their Jeep. It is a true do what you like vehicle, very versatile. Enjoy.

i have a 2017 wrangler unlimited sport with a 6 speed ..at 18 000 miles they had to drop the tranny ..now at 49 000 they will need to do it again and its pissing me off. Plastic parts in a tranny is stupid . And a reverse gear too pointy and too thin ..Seriously ? You know its an issue and still no recall?

This is the perfect vehicle for our purpose. We've wanted a Jeep as an extra car for weekends to go to the lake and beach, etc. We were looking for a Jeep that was not new, but in great shape. Finding this 1998 with less than 35K miles was the answer. The vehicle is in great condition and is everything we were looking for. We love the fun, rugged design and are very pleased with the purchase. We also love the Amethyst Pearl Metallic color and the finish is almost factory new after 19 years!

The 1997 Jeep Wrangler is my first car that I ever had. I even like it better then my moms 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 it is great for off-roading for towing for having fun and just everyday things.

I have a 05 inline 6 cyc. Jeep Wrangler best vehicle I have ever owned. Will go anywhere just not too good on gas. I love to drive it.

The '03 TJ's hit the sweet spot in the '97-'06 line. They were the last major revision, especially with the 'TUPY' cylinder head, and parts revisions in '04-'06's, well, have issues. 'TJ' means (last) True Jeep. The 4.0L '03's are special. You ride in a car, you drive in a Jeep.

While it took a bit to get my question answered, they were honest and forthcoming. For me personally, I thought the price of the vehicle we looked at online was a bit high, and I offered to pay cash to get a better deal. But, the folks at Midwest Autoplex held firm to their "No Haggle" policy. We may not do business, but I certainly admire their stand, and wish them nothing but success. I would not hesitate to recommend Midwest Autoplex if you are in the market for a used vehicle.

The 4.0 liter engine mated with a five-speed manual makes for a great car to ride around town in. On the highway, it’s unstable, has janky handling, and gobbles fuel. 19 gallons isn’t enough. Granted, I have 33 inch tires , a 3 inch lift, and aftermarket front and rear bumpers.
