I’ve had mostly BMWs and Audis over the years and cycled through a few TJs and a YJ as a weekend car. I’ve been driving my 4Xe as a daily for 6 weeks now and love it. It’s quiet, comfortable and generally fun to drive. Not a rocket but definitely quick enough to merge. It is loud on the highway and something to consider if you travel long distances. For me and my short commute, it’s perfect. I got 900 miles on my first tank of gas and average 32 MPG in hybrid. With everything going on in the world, it just makes me smile. Is it for everyone? No.

They have always taken care of me and my car. Unfortunately my car came with a manufacture defect which has meant multiple visits to the dealership but they always been very nice to me and had put up with my nagging. Edson has taken care of my many times and his service is alway great.

A lot of the negative reviews on this place are a bit silly. In my experience from this past weekend, if you listen to the salesperson who you are assigned, bring all the documents requested, make appointments, and come fully prepared, you will have an excellent experience just as I did. I placed a 7-day hold on the exact car I wanted, and made an appointment to come test drive it and apply for financing a few days later. I spoke with my salesperson, Jerry Neyland, a few times on the phone before coming in, and he always had the answers I needed. He advised me on what documentation to bring with me, and when I arrived for my test drive appointment Jerry has the car ready for me. We took a quick test drive, I fell in love with the car, and we started the financing application. Since I brought everything we'd need, it was a BREEZE! In total, I was maybe at CarMax for 2 hours maximum. I had been stressing over it all week, only to find out it was all so, so simple. Jerry's customer service is second to none--he was friendly, quick, and understanding. He kept me informed every step of the way, and not once did I feel he was putting pressure on me or trying to "sell" me on anything. CarMax Buena Park gets 5 out of 5 stars for me, and Jerry Neyland gets 6 out of 5 stars! Overall an excellent experience in every regard.

I purchased a used Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG from the Carmax in Costa Mesa, CA about a month ago. I started out by calling the Carmax and reaching a sales agent. She worked with me by setting aside the car so that I could fly down to pick it up. She picked me up from the airport about 15 miles away from their dealership. When I saw the car, I found some minor cosmetic issues with the car and Carmax assured me that they would repair them at my local Carmax in Roseville, CA. I will be writing a review about that Carmax as well. They issued me a form stating repairs to be done at my local dealership. I informed the salesperson that I would be pushing the car a bit and she was fine with it. After the test drive, the car seemed to be in great condition, so we headed in for the paperwork. The appearance inside of the dealership building did not convey a welcoming feeling though. It felt like a warehouse with desks in it. The people within the building were nice and friendly though. The paperwork was pretty quick as I already had a loan check from the credit union. It took about 30 minutes and then I was on my way. Overall, I would say the experience was positive.

I bought a 2004 Pilot a month ago here. My salesman, Tim, knew exactly which loan to submit me for because I had no job and bad credit but a big down payment. He had me financed with no problem in minutes. A few days before I went to Carmax Burbank for a different car but with the same down payment and the saleswoman there did not do the same thing. The car was purchased in 2 hours and I was driving home. I bought the warranty tey offer which is a great bumper to bumper extended through their company. They have a 5 day return policy. I opted to return my car on day 4 to pay for the warranty in cash so as not to finance it at the very high interest rate I bought the car at. The return was also easy and everything was done in less than an hour. A month later now, I have found a few things wrong with this 2004 that seemed to have slipped past their extensive reconditioning program. I took it in with odd complaints a dealer would normally say they couldn't duplicate. They addressed them all and even gave me a loaner SUV for my babies to fit in while I waited the few days for the parts to arrive. GREAT STORE! Great customer service! And there's a play room for the kids! *Avoid the coffee!! It is terrible!!!

Wow, cannot offer enough praise for Blackstar Offroad! Top notch used Jeep/off-road shop. Been shoping for a used Wrangler; no other dealers knew about death wobble nor offered a warranty. Additionally, at no extra cost, they fixed an oil leak - oil pan gasket and seal - and assessed for any potential death wobble issue. So many amazing Jeeps from which to choose - their lot is eye candy. Jeff couldn't have been more helpful. Despite it being far from Hollywood where I live, I knew Blackstar would be the best place from which to purchase. Highly, highly recommend!!

This might sound crazy but I bought my jeep on the gut feeling I got when I talked with JEFF and Tim. I live in Nevada so shopping was done by photo only. These two guys took the time to look for what I wanted and then we were able to negotiate a deal. As a veteran on fixed income price was very important but quality was more. These guys took care of shipping and made the experience very pleasant. Not sure if I would recommend buying site unseen unless it's from these two outstanding individuals. I was not ready to buy a new car; I bought a ford Fiesta from Cal Worthington of Long Beach 3 years ago and I really loved that car. A few weeks ago someone TBoned us and my poor Fiesta paid the price. I needed a new car. I went to Worthington of LB because they gave me a chance at a car when no one else wanted to. I was right to go there. I was treated with respect, Armando was great not pushy, and direct with questions and answers. I told him which car I was looking at and he got it ready for the test drive; by the time we were back I knew I wanted this car. The paperwork was fast and off I went to meet Joe. Folks ask for Joe M. He was working that papaer work and got me a nice discount. He did not try and sell me anything I did not want. After the car accident I learned that GAP is good to have. I had my sister drive me and Joe said send her home you are driving home. Armando C and Joe M make A great time. I have the Focus now and I'm actually really enjoying the slightly bigger car. No I was not ready to buy a new car but l needed to. I'm glad I went and met these two guys; they made the process easy and pleasant. Thanks gents!
