2025 Kia K5 review

2025 Kia K5 review
I only had the car 1 month but drove it to Florida (all around) and back and put on 3,500 miles. My car is a GT-Line, Wolf Grey with the Red interior, Bose speakers etc. The car is a real pleasure to drive. Very Quiet on the road, and my mileage exceeded the 37 mpg epa rating, and that’s while maintaining speeds of 80 mph with 2 people and fully loaded with luggage. Little if any wind noise. Note that at times I hit much higher speeds not knowing since it was so quiet & smooth. The engine RPM was mostly between 2 to 2.1 at 80mph. The power of the 2.5 liter is good, and slightly better than the 2019 Camry I had, which was a very good car as well. The Bose system sounded great, and all the alert sensors and some other sensors like keeping your car steering between the lines worked very well, but I preferred to turn that off most of the time. If you turn on your turning signals to changing lanes, and a car is present, not only does your side mirrors alert you, but you’ll get sound notices and the steering wheel will vibrate. Triple redundancy. The handling is very good, and secure, brakes are excellent and has a very good feel to them. A very important note is, I appreciate that the 2.5 engine has both Direct & Port Injectors on each cylinder. Port injectors will help cleaned the valves and clear any carbon build up. This is the same arrangement my Camry 2019 had which greatly reduces or eliminates carbon buildup in these Direct Inject Engines. The Nav system worked flawlessly and quickly. I also love you can remotely start your car with the key FOB (No additional charge) or with Kia Connect though Kia connect is only free the 1st 3 years. Also, happily, it doesn’t have the stop & start engine control which can cause more wear on your starter motor with little gain on MPG. The seats are very comfortable as I can attest driving 12 hours straight on my first stop. The car’s 8 spd auto shifted smoothly in all conditions. Plenty of room inside. Lot of storage in the console area for incidentals and drinks. I enjoyed the Panoramic roof. The negative was the Combine toggle Climate & Media control is a bit counter intuitive and sometimes causes more effort to control. Trunk space is good, as I had lots of luggage. The car feels solid & hopefully reliable down the line. The only other negative which is because I do my own oil changes etc, is this car takes a Cartridge oil filter (Not spin on) and takes 6.1 quarts of oil, (Not 5 qts) but I knew this well before I bought it but it’s location and design is good. So it’s not a real big deal, but this will cost a little more for oil changes. Recommended oil chg is 7,500 but I’ll be doing it every 5 to 6K for sure. BTW recommended oil is 0 -30W. Based on my limited time but very heavy usage I highly recommend this car, and I really enjoy driving it. Very sporty looking.

2023 Kia K5 review
I love my Kia K5 Gt Line! White with Red Interior which was hard to find. I traded my Hyundai Elantra because we travel a lot and our backs hurt. Now I enjoyed my Elantra but the K5 has the larger bolsters on the seats and it rides great being a mid size! Our 10 hour trips once a month are much easier now! Styling is great and all the options and safety features are awesome! Plus the full warranty can’t be beat! Thanks Bedford Kia for finding my car!

Brought my EV6 in for a repair. Turned out to be more involved than I expected but the team at Kia of Riverdale handled it no problem. They diagnosed it right the first time which honestly isn't always a given at a dealership. Service advisor kept me in the loop the whole time, no surprises on the bill, no upselling, just got the job done. Car drives great now, noticeably better than when I brought it in. I've dealt with a lot of dealership service departments over the years and they're not always a great experience. This one was solid start to finish. Would definitely go back.

2023 Kia K5 review
I purchased a 2023 K5 GT (GT1 package) with the upgraded engine with approximately 290HP. The car is well worth the money, as it’s priced very competitively with cars in the same class with similar features and horsepower. The car is under 40K fully loaded. Pertaining to that price point, It was difficult finding a car with the following features: surround view camera, panoramic sunroof, satellite navigation, HomeLink, ventilated seats, power driver and passenger seats, back seat vents for heats and cooling, sensing trunk open, remote start (not app only, but on key fob). This car has all those features for under 40K! Plus, it’s fun to drive, looks nice with quad exhaust tips and the chestnut brown interrupt. And the car has full LED lights…even inside the cabin. It’s a great value, good looking, and fun car to drive.

I initially went on cargarus to look for another used vehicle; Shane was the 1st person from many dealerships I was looking through from many different vehicles. The car I test drove was great though my credit wasn't that great nor did I have a co-signer. 2021 Kia K5 review
A lot of people complain about the pirelli tires going bad too soon and brakes also. I personally had no issues with either one. The tires lasted well beyond their mileage rating and brakes didn't need replacement until after 4.5 years. I have had pretty much zero issues with my gt-line. People need to realize that these are not race cars and quit driving them like they are racecars and tires and brakes might last a little longer.

2024 Kia K5 review

2021 Kia K5 review
I’m in love with this car. I love the features with my EX trim. Heated/cooled seats. Sunroof and wood grain interior. The only issue I have is I’ve never owned a car with CVT. It feels a bit odd at times compared to my previous cars. But anything is better than dealing with Ford’s DCT.

2022 Kia K5 review
I love my K5 it’s fast and reliable. Entering onto the highway is quick and smooth, I get that quick take off that’s needed. Also my first winter was great. I never got stuck I could always get out. The comfort is great the enterior is sharp. The outside has a different look and style of its own class. Love my K5

CarMax West Broad review
First time I went in, was just looking to see what was on the lot and was greeted, and after that, not another contact with anyone. When I came back to test drive a few vehicles, got a great sales guy. Overall selection of vehicles is quite nice, and most of the vehicles are almost new to very good condition. Though Carmax likes to display the image they sell cars that have or haven't had any issues, you'll find you'll need to look closer. Most are bought at auction after coming off lease or from being a fleet vehicle. Which is a good thing, as you the regular maintenance was done on them and often the vehicles have original warranties still in effect depending on what vehicle you are looking for and what year. The sales guy was low pressure, and when I came in the next day to buy, I was given another one since he was completing a sale on another customer. Wasn't an issue, as he or the guy that took over were truly "car" guys. The liked cars, had sales experience, but weren't "car" guys. The experience was good overall, but the highlight was completing the deal. Paperwork was done quickly (I had preapproval from my credit union with EFT) and finished the paperwork in about twenty minutes. Amazing, got the vehicle at just an average price, but go the mileage I wanted, with original warranty and extended warranty at the price I was willing to pay. SO overall, win for me, and though I was never a Carmax fan (still rubs me the wrong way their colors are almost best buy colors when their parent company was circuit city....). But I will say my mind was changed.
2022 Kia K5 review
Took the family to Vegas for a week. Enterprise have me the choice between the Malibu, Charger and K5. My youngest didn't want the grey Malibu and I didn't want to pay for the gas on the Charger with the V8. So we went with the black K5. I drive a SUV so it took some time to use to bending down to get into he car. Once we started driving I noticed how smooth and quiet the car was. The car accelerated with ease and the braking made you feel safe. My Dodge Journey is 2015 and doesn't have all the new tech. The K5's blindspot and car In front of you leaving warnings are great features. Although the K5 had great features the only negative I had was the infotainment unit. The unit worked just fine, I just didn't like how it was integrated. It looks as it was installed as an afterthought. Looks like it was just inserted like a Lego piece, I would prefer it flush in the dash.

Just wanted to leave a 5 star review about Yonkers Kia. I worked with Guillermo Rijo who really hustled to get me the EV6 that I wanted before the end of the EV tax rebate this September. He managed to do it, working together with their showroom manager, Michael Romano. The two of them hooked me up with an excellent EV6 Wind that was better than what I expected for a leasing price that was more than fair. I enjoyed working with both of them and appreciate the effort they put into the whole process. As the days go bye, my wife and I are liking the car more and more. It’s a fantastic vehicle and represents an excellent alternative to the Tesla Model 3 I was driving before. 2022 Kia K5 review
This is my 3rd KIA I have owed. They all have been excellent cars and mechanically sound including my K-5 except for my 2015 Kia Forte which which threw a piston rod. This was related to a recall which occurred in 2014 on the engine that was in my forte I believe and had the same symptoms as was described in recall. I was not granted a credit for that car which was upsetting. Other than that I am very happy with my Kia’s and my K-5.

2024 Kia K5 review
Forward collision is dangerous it slams on the brakes and have you spinning. Roof is too low. Speakers are not good. Exterior falls apart very cheaply made car. Great on gas great body design. Love the synthetic leather & the infotainment screen.

2024 Kia K5 review
My wife and I extremely enjoy our new 2024 K5 Ex purchased courtesy’s of Waylan Hubbard sales representative and the LAWTON KIA TEAM in OKLAHOMA. We especially enjoy the KIA Access mobile remote options! The gas mileage, reliability, performance modes, luxury, Bose stereo system, interior & exterior design is beyond words! I would recommend this automobile over Cadillac, Lexus, and Jaguar being a previous owner of each including the 1998 Concours Deville and 2003 Escalade. The 2024 K5 rates a 4.9 by TruCar ratings over the 2024 Tesla Model 3 receiving a 4.5 rating, also over the 2024 Cadillac CT4 receiving a 4.6 rating. Mt. Kisco Honda review
This was the second Odyssey we purchased from Mount Kisco Honda. Our last was a 2013, this was a 2016. In between we purchased a 2014 Subaru Forester XT, as well as a 2015 Crosstrek. Not our usual, but we had the need for a few cars lately. Our dealing with Brian Durkan at Mount Kisco Honda back in 2013 was so awesome that we thought it was a fluke. Both of our next deals for the Subarus were awful by comparison. Brian at Mount Kisco was such a great experience that we just went back there and picked up the 2016. Our experience was even better than 2013. Here is what We found at other dealers, but NEVER at MK. Salesperson "what kind of work do you do?" Salesperson "what can I do to get you into that vehicle today?" Salesperson "that is way below our cost" high pressure from the finance manager after an agreed price. Both times, we drove the car, had a price in mind, negotiated a little (as expected), and signed a deal that day. After the agreement, we met with the finance manager. We made it clear to Brian we didn't want anything additional. Here is how it went. Finance manager holding paperwork "do you want any extras? Auto start, etching etc?" 2023 Kia K5 review
Too early to rate reliability, but so far I'm loving my 2023 K5 GT-Line. I absolutely love the styling and interior, though the seats are not the best I've been in (though not bad), and I have a hard time seeing the turn signal indicators even with the wheel tilted all the way up (I'm 5' 11"). Power with the base engine is adequate, and I'm thrilled that it does NOT have a CVT - it's got a good old torque converter-style 8 speed transmission. Gas mileage is better than rated by the EPA. Good tech and a very good set of safety features. I few nits to pick, but overall for the price I feel this is the best value in a sedan on the market today. Did I mention I love the styling?
