Had a great experience, all staff were professional and helpful. I am very happy with my new car.
2013 Land Rover LR2 review
7 years and 115K miles down the line, it still rides and handles very well, has cost relatively little to maintain and has been very capable and reliable. I'm not an off-roader or rock-hopper, but have driven it hard, in deep sand on beaches and routinely in deep snow and am impressed with it's capabilities and competence. It's basically a Ford underneath. Specs, dimensions and mechanically not much different than the Range Rover Evoke, Discovery Sport or the new Ford (Baby) Bronco Sport just being introduced. Plenty of power, if a bit slow off-the-line due too turbo-lag. Exterior look was dated when new, but that's kind of part of owning a British car. Looks have held-up and it stills looks no worse (or better) today than when new. Issues? Only fair mileage at 17-19 mpg average (though as low as 16 in heavy traffic and a much as 25 on long highway trips). Nowhere near the 25 mpg average I got on the Subaru Forester over the 9 years and 200K miles of ownership before it. The 6-spd transmission is quirky, but smoother and 'hunts' less than the 8- and 9-speed Evokes and Disco Sports I drove more recently. I found the turbo as the only mechanical weak spot. It was replaced 2X under warranty; first time at just 40K miles. I live in a very hilly area and push it, especially accelerating hard uphill from being stopped at lights. I also started it using 'regular'gas when I bought it new and then 'plus' gas after the first replacement turbo. It must use premium fuel. More costly, but that change seems to have helped eliminate the problem. Still never got us stuck anywhere or had to be towed.

2012 Land Rover LR2 review
There is little gadgetary here - it's all about the vehicle and the ride. Terrain response is great under all conditions given the narrower body, weight to power ratio and single mould body (No body on frame here). To enhance a very capable 3.2L of this caliber simply add a performance exhaust, best quality air filter, change the battery, belts and spark plugs and LED bulbs, change up the oil / oilfilter and add premium gas and your off. Prince Philip (UK) has several still today and he was a petrol head in his day (pilot) not to mention all his great quotes. Cheap to buy, safe as a brick and run a good 200,000 miles - easy to fix.

518 Auto Sales review
When looking for a reasonably priced used cars I was so excited when I ran across 518 Auto Sales and the large selection of cars they had!!! The staff including Alex, Wendy, Kyle and Scott were awesome and made me feel right at home!! I will spread the word about this place!!!
2008 Land Rover LR2 review
Got my LR2 with 90,000 miles for $7300 in Washington state , reason I got a decent deal was because the car lot had to replace the rear differential because the gears were grinding , they put a used one from pull and save in it and it sounded fine for a week or so and then the new one started making the same noise , so I get online and start doing some research and I find out thus is a super common problem in specifically the 2008 model, I must have read over 300 reviews on a forum about this problem, for whatever reason Land Rover never recalled the issue, so I ended up getting a brand new rear differential that has been redesigned and upgraded, cost me $1200 and the car lot put it in for me , works amazing now, only other issue I had was the in dash 6 disk cd changer , it would stop playing cds after about 50 seconds , so I ordered a remanufactured cd changer and had the car lot install it and it works great now ($200) SO ! All in all I'm happy with the overall outcome and the LR2 is such a nice vehicle to drive, handles like a dream , goes over bumps and pot holes amazing ! Gas mileage could be better , but all time all wheel drive is what it is , super excited to see how this thing does in the snow !!

Knowledgeable & transparent. Didn’t waste my time while showing the car. Car was immaculate & clean.
2015 Land Rover LR2 review
I have about 22,000 miles on the car & it's been wonderful. The styling (boxy) is just what I wanted. The egg on wheels models (Honda CRV & Toyota Highlander) and even the RR Evoke, are just not appealing style wise if you want a boxy car. Rounding the back end of the car is space limiting, and not functional if you pack the trunk for trips with lots of items. (I would rather have this LR than the RR Evoke). Thus far, no major problem, which is great. I went for more expensive LR HSE model (vs. less expensive Toyota or Jeep), in hope that the more money would mean better quality engineering. The worst thing a car can do is strand the driver. I don't care what else the car can do, it it's not moving, it's a failure... So, the LR has been very reliable from that point so far. Because it's not huge (like a Tahoe), it fits in just about every parking spot. We have 1 child to cart around - I would go for the LR4 if you have more than 3 people in the car regularly, as it's ideally a 3 person car when luggage is considered. The handling is great too! I wish LR would continue with at least one model that is boxy in design, but sadly they are going eggy with all models.

Purcellville Motors Inc review
Great business and great guys to work with! I purchased an older model Honda Accord from them as I needed a car to just get me through for about a year. It's going on three years now, and it's still running great, with just keeping up with basic maintenance. I think it's more than fair to say that they have safe and reliable vehicles on their lot. There are no pushy sales tactics at all, zero! After spending weeks of used car searching in the Northern VA area and beyond, I realized I could have prevented all of that running around by just going here first, and a couple miles from my house. Highly recommend!
2010 Land Rover LR2 review
I just purchased a 2010 with 255K miles. It still looks and rides very good. It had a small intake manifold gasket leak, that I was able to repair. I paid $4000 for the vehicle and it is far superior to anything I have seen in the $8-10K range lately. Going to be using it to drive 100 miles a day, to and from work on a mountain road.

2013 Land Rover LR2 review
I cannot give reliability specifics just yet, but the car does have 44k on the clock and feels just as good as my Merc did. Interior: As everybody who owns one of these will say, you get a commanding view of the road. They are correct. You literally can see more than expected out of this seating position and the cabin offers viewability from every corner. Switching lanes, no problem. Buttons: love the chucky-ness of the buttons, firm feeling and made with some kind of English purpose, as if all the other car manufacturers couldn't just do something as simple as this. Green lighting at night is easy on the eyes and easy to read. Navigation: Fully touchscreen and very intuitive. As stated, my 2013 C300 Merc had Navigation as well but wasn't as good as this. For some reason, this Navigation seems sharper and offers a "3D" view of roads and such. Very sharp and a win in that department although, many will say otherwise. Driving: As mentioned before, the seating position gives you that overlooking presence, but the mechanics of the car are just as good. The 4cyl turbo in my opinion should have always been an option, it offers just enough power for merging onto highways and highway driving at respectable speeds. Engine is quiet and hums along, step on the gas and the little turbo puts a smile on your face that you didn't think you'd get from a vehicle such as this. A unique experience especially from Land Rover. Tranny shifts along through it's 6 gears and from driving 2 hours back home from purchasing it, felt perfectly fine. No hunting of gears that I experienced. Cargo: trunk is relatively cavernous and could swallow up just as much as you decide to stuff back there. Need more room? Fold the seats down flat and you instantly have more room. Lots more. Plus, the ceiling portion of the car is higher which means getting bigger items in won't be such a problem. Keep this in mind when moving or helping somebody move. Options: My LR2 has the HSE package and comes with, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, heated front window, Navigation, meridian sound system, HID lightning and a few other touches only found in the HSE. I will say it took me about 8 minutes to find the heated seat buttons, oddly located on the knobs of where you would turn the AC up, odd location and I didn't expect that to be placed there. Also, another 10 minute button-to-find was the unlock button! Yes that's right! The unlock button which should be on the driver's side door panel. Instead, being British and unique they have it positioned as the biggest button directly right in front of you on the center stack. Strange but once you find it, you'll never forget to look at it every time you get in the car. I heard stories about the heated window being a visual problem. Halos at night from the little thread-like heated wires causing visual distractions. Negative. I didn't notice it once until I started to really look at it. Once you start driving it's ok and you focus on the road. Stop at a light, than you can see what they mean. In my opinion, not a problem. Back up sensors work like a charm and the lane guiding on the screen is a touch better then the one found on my Merc. What I don't like: The steering wheel looks like it's directly out of the more expensive Range Rover. And it probably is. The look of it definitely suits the cars hulking theme and fits right in easily with the interior, however, it's wide. Very very wide. To make matters worse the horn is only functional through 2 silver bars located on both ends. Don't press the silver bar, no horn. You can mash the center of the wheel and nothing. SOME of the plastics are very chinsy feeling and felt like an after thought. The plastics are very noticable around the center stack and door panels mainly where the window buttons are located. Also, the black panel outside the car by the driver & passenger side, seems to love finger prints. Literally you can count the fingers left on that black label. A rubber strip on the driver's side bottom, where it looks like it keeps the elements out, is totally worn out and shredded. Now, this could be in fact from wear and tear? Or from somebody just getting in and out and running up against it? Causing it to tear. Small things, but worth mentioning I guess. Overall. I guess time will tell mechanically. Love the look and the squared boxy body of yester-year Land Rovers, but most importantly, it's comfortable.

2013 Land Rover LR2 review
I don't know who wrote this review article or what they have against the LR2, but the article is excessively negative and misleading. Who on earth would trash a heated windshield, do you have any idea how convenient this is in winter to just sit in your car, press a button and wait 60 seconds and then wipe your entire windshield clean? And the interior is absolutely gorgeous and classy. The description of the acceleration is baffling at best - this vehicle jumps right off the start and most vehicles quickly become dots in your rear view mirror. And why all the comparisons to a more modern brand new Evoque, the LR2 is a classic Rover, of course it's not going to be the same. And yes I'm an LR2 owner and guess what I've had an Evoque too.

2008 Land Rover LR2 review
I bought this vehicle with 108k in April 2016. Three years later, I can truly say I am in love! When I first got it , the pulley had to be replaced bc it broke down on the highway but I was able to drive it to the dealership. After that just brakes, regular oil changes and replaced the battery last year. It takes Regular gas with no problem and it is a daily commute vehicle. I have the cold package with xenon lights. My only complaint is the key fobs are expensive to replace $400 a pop. It currently has 156k and I use synthetic oil only as the previous owner did. I am the second owner. Do your research . I do not regret this purchase at all. It can go any where especially here in the North East.

I am writing ANOTHER review for Trend Auto since I continue to use them for maintenance issues regarding my used Toyota Sienna that I purchased from them years ago. I have had several issues pop up through the years regarding my van and not only have they resolved each and every problem, they did so in a very reasonably priced and expedient manner. I cannot say enough good things about Trend Auto. I would not even consider going elsewhere. I trust these guys 100% and KEVIN IS FABULOUS! He is honest, fair and trust worthy. They all are an absolute pleasure to work with as I have never had one negative interaction with anyone there. In the past, I have bought many vehicles from various dealerships and I can tell you that Trend Auto is the best!!! I cannot recommend their top notch service highly enough. They are excellent!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I like the look of the LR2. The front area seemed to have plenty of room but the back seat seemed tight for my two children age 8 and 10. The model I drove seem like a smooth ride but not a lot of pick up compared to some of the other crossover / compact SUV models I test drove.
