Used Lexus GX 470 for sale near Dwight, IL

Great experience and I love my truck! I have been looking for MONTHS for a nice LBZ, it has been a great truck for over a year, Levi Hamilton was great with assisting me and the rest of the staff made it a smooth process.

This is the best and most reliable car I have purchased. It has ample room for passengers, equipment or both and even though it is an older car, it still has a lot of creature comforts that can keep up with newer cars. When I used to take it into the dealership for maintenance (timing belt, etc.), the service managers would tell me to never sell this car because it is overengineered for reliability and the drivetrain will last me well over 500K miles if it is taken care of. As of 2025 I am almost at a quarter million miles and still humming along.

My Sister and I were having one of the worst days of our lives. We had been car shopping all day, and there were plenty of cars to be seen. There just weren't any "quality" cars in my price range. All the Lots we browsed just didnt seem to take any pride in their cars. They look raggedy. We felt spent, and disappointed. We were about to give up, and drive home, and thats when we saw E-Smart Auto. Finally!!! We found a Dealership that really knows the value of a dollar, and they wanted to prove it. After we parked, the dealer came out and asked "What are you looking for?". We both looked at each other, and said "The cheapest and most dependable car you got.". We expected to be treated like paupers, but the dealer led us to a beautiful "LEXUS"!!!! Oh My GOD!! It WAS Super cheap, beautiful,ran great, and even though they were practically giving it away,.......it was still out of our league. The dealer looked at our disappointment, and realized we had a virtually non existent amount of funds. To our surprise, he looked at us and said "Im going to talk to my management about you." and he left, but before he did he pointed out yet another car we knew looked out of our price range. He said "I'll get the keys.". I got in the car thinking "I really like this car, but it's obviously another car that cant be mine.". I was wrong. That car is sitting in front of my house right now. Do you know why? Its because most dealerships only care about your money, and commission. The Dealers who dealt with us at E Smart Auto cared about my financial situation. After finding out that they weren't going to make any money off the deal, they still went the extra mile to make sure we had a good running, good looking car, and a great buying experience. Dont get me wrong. EVERY SINGLE CAR ON THEIR LOT looked amazing, and each car had an amazing price to match. This place needs to be seen by everyone. Go here!! Go here now!!! You wont be disappointed. To this day, my sister and I are still talking about our fortune at finding this place. E Smart Auto treated me well, and I will always be grateful for their kindness, and understanding nature.

It's a tank dressed up in Lexus clothing. If you can't there in the GX you can't get there. Absolutely sure footed in the worst of the weather. Great driver position, you can see everything. I find that there are far less drivers pulling dumb moves while driving the GX. It's so tall I suppose it's intimidating and well seen. Easy to do the underneath maintenance. 2nd row is bit tight for 4 adults on a long trip. Third row is kids only. 14-15mpg city, up to 19.5 mpg hwy.

My '04 GX470 has only 148k on it, and i have no doubt it'll go at least another 200k. Its also "comforting" to know it'll blow the doors off the police ford explorers. With regard to fuel economy, i use a fuel tab supplement and consistantly get 19 to 20 around town and 23 on the highway at 70. I have gotten as high as 24.5 when using high grade fuels. If I had to replace it, the only vehicle I would consider would be a v8 Tundra

This vehicle checks so many boxes. Incredibly comfortable seats. Lots of headroom for tall drivers. Loads of little Interior details that make for a pleasant riding and driving experience.

I LOVE my 2006 GX 470. I have raised babies, chauffered 7 little boys, and all their sports equipment, dog ambulance, snow car, luxury SUV, you name it! I have always said, I will drive this until I die or it does. Best Vehicle I have ever owned. I recently got a new paint job and have had several offers to buy it. NOPE! If you can find one in great shape, buy it. They are rare!

Highly recommended. A+++ on all accounts. I came early in the morning, I was the 1st customer and within 2 minutes I was approached by a very kind and professional sales representative David. I was checking out if they have specific cars and features that I wanted like leather seats, Hybrid, etc,. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and really listened to my needs. Non aggressive, good energy, easy going. If you want a good sales rep ask for David. Customer Service was excellent. By the way, I am female who drove many different cars so I was aware what I like, like and pros and cons of different features which often correlates directly with price itself. I had a budget that I was willing to spend and maximum number of miles on a car. David completely understood my needs. No pressure whatsoever. Sales rep with common sense! I really liked that everyone I encountered that day had amazing listening skills. This was the 1st and only location I visited and I ended up buying a car that same day. I did not feel the need to go anywhere else. This seemed like a good team to do business with and so I purchased used Toyota Prius v. I did research prior to visiting this location and cars offered through Carfax, another fantastic website. This Escondido location had big selection of cars. I picked 1 out of at least 4 Toyota Prius vehicles on the lot, I got exactly the car I wanted and fantastic experience. Financing option was easy easy and short. Less than 5 minutes. They need your stated income, DL and then after submission, different banks offer different interest rates based on your credit rating. I lowered both my interest and monthly payment by offering larger down payment. However, that's up to you. 20% down definitely gives you better options. At the end I received copy of all documents included Carfax print out. All nicely put together in the folder by a manager. I did drive for about 30 min 2 cars prior to purchase. Highway and streets. I liked optional insurance products such as GAP and LoJack Theft Deterrent. Although I was asked if I want it, it's optional, I was willing to pay extra $795 for each, however now I have vehicle that can be tracked and recovered if stolen by police. I also checked You Tube videos on this, and I love it. The manager Diego gave me Free Oil Check for the future, number for insurance that ended up giving me cheap rate yet fantastic policy the following day. Vehicle I bought was all nice and clean, everything ready and prepared to go! Great people, great experience, highly recommend.

I bought it a used car, with 99K miles. I put another 145K for about 10 years, and the car still runs, smooth and quiet. Just last year, that the ABS, pump and transmission failed. But not bad, after 244K miles.

Purchased a 10 year old BMW from Audi Atlanta. Overall, I have to say, this was the best car purchasing experience I ever had. The entire staff is extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. More comfort than our 2004 Pilot, but 4 downsides. 1. Navigation screen/system is annoying. I acts like a 4 year old needing attention every 2minutes. I do not need to know where I am at. I Know where I am at, show me the radio. It does not need to know where to go, I am driving, not the GX. 2. NO Storage areas, like under seats, door pocket are small, no storage compartments in the rear, like the Pilot, or even an RX330. Cant store my firearms out of sight. GUN RACK IS GOING IN THE WINDOW! 3. Third seats are a joke. they were on the garage floor the first hour. 4. Center Console. Pilot HANDS DOWN, better center console. Places to put things including multiple drink containers, not just 2; and ammo. Positive. This thing can climb! I am impressed going to a V8 AWD from the Pilot V6 FWD part time AWD, that I have only lost 1 -2 mpg average. I figured it would be more, since this does weight about 450 lbs more than the Pilot did, plus the V8 and AWD full time. Front seat comfort is about the same for me, I am 6' 5", mostly legs. Road noise, is much less in the GX than the Pilot. I can actually hear the radio with out it being near max. The Pilot even had good Michelin MS on it and still you could hear the tires. The previous one owner is not going to be happy that this is getting a off-road make over. She kept it clean as a pin and all service records from day one, that is the reason I bought this one, over some - a couple thousand less. We'll see, I wanted a newer 4Runner, but gads even 2012's were more than this by thousands. Just needed something a little more than the Pilot. I will say the Pilot had been a trooper, got her in some places that even Jeep guys went. "how did you get here?" But she needs to RIP now.

This an excellent car with all comfort, performance and safety features available in a Lexus. Versatile car for towing, long trips and winter driving too.

I purchased this 8 months ago with 219,000 miles. One owner but no real Carfax since about 30,000. I made a great deal that included a new timing belt / water pump kit and thermostat. I have fixed a number of small problems myself. Every time I drive this car I find myself marvelling what a fantastic driving experience! When I bought it, my plan was to decide whether to flip this or keep and sell my truck. I kept all of our 3 cars. Honestly, I have fixed or replaced a lot of stuff that had been neglected. That included a new updated driveshaft, radiator, cv axle, front wheel bearing / hub and battery. At this point and with 221,000 miles, I would drive this with confidence across the country if I had to. Long story short, out of 81 vehicle's in my lifetime, this is absolutely the best.....even over several new purchases.

The service was outstanding. I dropped my car off early before they were open and received a call at 8 am letting me know my vehicle was ready. We love service like this in our local Crestview area. This was the most important feature I looked at before purchasing a vehicle. The Service departments ratings and reviews made my decision easier. Worth every penny. Bought it from a used car lot. Coming from the northeast, expect a little rust. Vehicle was previously driven by a city driver. Lot’s of local miles, but once you do a little rubber up and lies of grease. Also, fluids flushed. It is likes new ride. Thank you cars.com for making my searches possible.

If they are going to continue to sell used Teslas, Corwin Toyota needs to better train its employees how to transfer these vehicles through the Tesla process. The previous owner on my purchase was still listed as the owner (an elderly woman). Her credit card was apparently still being used to pay for vehicle electric charging expenses on my vehicle because I couldn't put my credit card on account until prior owner was removed from Tesla account. Simple process, but Corwin needs to commit to address this Tesla qwirk to avoid unfair charges to previous owners. I hope they will reimburse that poor prior owner. Other than this problem, the sales staff were great.

This car met all my needs especially during winter season, use a lot on long driving like Vail Colorado twice, Toronto Canada twice and Orlando Florida has air suspension that makes riding comfortably.

I purchased a Ford Bronco Heritage From Town and Country AL. They were the only dealer we could find that would sell us the truck for sticker and we live in NY. My salesman Jay Mathis was there for every curve ball that Ford threw. When Ford discontinued the color we ordered. Jay called and said we need to change the order color and year to a 2023 or the order will be canceled. He was on the top of his game all the time. I really believe that if Jay didn't call me to tell me to change the year my order would have been canceled. Thanks Jay my Alabama brother

I love it other than the peeling paint. Have never had any other issue. I purchased off lease with 13k miles. Wish I had not gotten white. Not giving 5 stars because of paint issue. I paid a fortune for it and the paint should have lasted.

Hands-down the best overall vehicle I’ve ever owned. The reliability is unmatched with this 4.7 L V8 engine. I came from a 2009 jeep Rubicon I cannot express the difference in the ride. Not to mention it is a Lexus. I actually owned two. I have a 2006 GX 470 and a 2019 GX 460 and I actually prefer the 470 over the 460 when it comes to power. I had to add a power commander on the 460 just to match the torque. I’ll share this with you. True story. Last winter we had a nice storm in North Carolina. I wind up pulling two Jeeps up to Lynnville gorge mountain with my winch because they couldn’t make it up. To light. I will carry that for the rest of my days. Lol

Love the trunk capacity. Used this vehicle to move in/out kids to college and into their first apartments. Couldn't have done it without this vehicle.
