Ok its the best luxury sport car for its time and it still gets looks I own Zcar 92 and i thought it was the best for sport ride but this lex with the clear water blue and 18" rims yes I drove this car it as 237k miles and runs like a top like new its safe and fun to drive

Bought the SC300 automatic recently as a daily driver and with low miles for the year. Had reservations about buying a car this old but I do not regret the decision. People find it hard to believe this car is 19 years old and still stare at it. Had to replace the fuel pump, and bypassed fuel pump ecu to avoid the common problem of the engine shutting off when the vehicle is warm - no problems since. Find a vehicle with service records and not modified. This car takes corners well and drives better than any car I've owned. Perfect combination of luxury with a sporty feel. The V-6 engine responds well and is more than plenty as a commuter. Vision is great all around the car with very small blind spots. Side mirrors are smaller than I would like to have. Very comfortable to drive. As a tall person, I am able to drive without feeling cramped. Car is well made and has a sturdy feel to it. Not much space to hold "stuff" while driving. However have to remember this was not build originally as a commuter car. Downside is space in rear seat, one cup holder and not the greatest mpg for a car it's size. I was in the market for a used car and didn't want the cookie cutter Accord, Camry. I love driving this car and plan to keep it for a long time. The manual transmission is rare and will often cost more. This car is destined to be a classic.

I first test drove a new SC in 1994 and fell in love. No, I couldn't afford it. So I saved my money and was finally able to purchase my 2000 SC300 in January of 2004. It did take a bit of patience and lots of looking to find one in a color I liked that was well cared for. This SC had more than 40k miles at purchase, but was flawless. The only option not on it is the Nakamachi radio, but the standard 215 watt Pioneer system is more than adequate. All controls are thoughtfully placed and easy to operate without major distraction from driving. There's more than enough trunk space for road trips. Gas mileage is always as high as advertised but increases to 20/29 when I can resist the urge to "drive" it. The only drawback is it is near impossible to seat two people in the rear seat. One adult can sit there with his/her legs stretched across the seats. It now has about 64k and has required only routine maintenance.

I have owned this car for 20 years & love it. Very little parts replaced. Latest is power steering high pressure hose-which I had custom made since it was $700 if I ordered it from parts house.

BEST CAR for the value. Extremely well balanced car with a reliable track record. Well known as a JDM drift car. Some manual versions came with a limited slip differential. Very good fuel economy on the Inline 6 models and the 2JZGE engines are extremely well designed and performance oriented. Currently have over 250,000 miles on mine and it's still running strong. Try one and you'll never want to give it up. Happy Driving...

Forget Cars.com annual cost estimate @ $5k. Currently own a 2000. Had a 92 & 95. Never spent more than $400. Tires @ 35k about the same cost as other autos. Ditto belts @ 90K. Brake life similar to other cars I've owned. Also owned a 92 LS400 - very reliable. Best cars we have ever owned!
