First saw this car featured in the 1991 July edition of Road&Track while sitting at a dental clinic. I was 18, a freshman in college driving a beat up Corolla needing a root canal. A sleek 250hp V8 coupe that rocked 16" rims, a premium Nakamichi sound system that came with an optional 12in cd changer, does 0-60 in 6.7secs-I told myself I'll own one someday. 15 yrs later I bought my neighbor's '93. Bulletproof 1UZFE motor. Turnkey car that's buttery smooth in stock form but has potential to become a wild animal whenever mated either simply collectors/headers along with hollow cats on a full NA build - I couldn't get enough of the exhaust pulses through the headers it emits, really awesome! I've done almost everything to it (except FI, sadly it's too much $$$), but I've converted it's only factory option 'auto'slushbox into a 5spd manual (sourced an SC300's trans + drive shaft, mated it to an aftermarket bellhousing), tuner parts -- big win lip, 5zigen exhaust tips, mandrel bends, repainted to paint code Lexus 3R7, Bilstein shocks, H&R sport springs, lowered it to a credit card fender gap-because -moar-low-on-stretched-tire-you name it..After all these years (17), it's time to retire it (just purchased an Audi RS3). However, as much fun I know I will be having with the RS3, I'm still keeping the SC -- after all, the SC's got the RS3 by having that one more extra pedal ---the new universal symbol of 'OG car enthusiast approved'.

Amazing car you don’t really see too often. The V-8 is more than powerful enough for its time but lacks a bit nowadays. Makes up for it in the reliability department. Car runs and drives amazing despite being 26 years old

I purchased my 2001 LS 430 in 2007 with only 28000 miles . It’s been great. Can’t keep my wife out of it. She drives a ES 350 2014. It’s great also. You can’t beat this vehicle. Very low maintenance. Great power at 202,000 miles, and still runs great. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this car. Stil has the same great look of a new car

This is a wonderful vehicle. Is this comfortable, practical with over 70 cubic feet Max cargo space, reliable, and relatively good gas mileage for a 5000 pound vehicle. An averaging 19 City, 25 Highway.

This car came out the year I was born and my mom bought it. Drove it for 12 years and then my dad took over until I got my license at 16. I drove it for 3, dad drove it for another 4 after and I just took it over again almost 24 years later. 222k miles on it and it’s still getting 25 MPG for highway miles. I was not easy on this car especially in my teenage years and it has never given any of my family a problem other than the normal wear and tear expected from a 20+ year old car. There’s a few kinks, the all door lock button stopped working about 10 years ago so it’s gotta be done manually and the windows get stuck. It’s burning oil a little faster than it used to now but I’ve got pretty a good confidence I’ll get to see it through to 300k miles.

Went to Phat’s today to look at a Camry and can say this was easily my best dealer experience. Phat took the time out of his busy day to talk with me about the car and share his great knowledge of the engines and navigating the used car buying experience. He gave me advice and was honest and straight up with me placing no pressure to buy the car even giving advice which would lead me elsewhere. If your like me and hate going to dealerships because of the sellers you usually encounter, I can assure you that if you walk in and ask for Phat he will give you that feeling right off the bat that he is a trust worthy person. He will give you advice about the vehicle (coming from a master auto technician) and get you into something that is right for you not into some xxx that has the best profit margin. Also if your cool he will even show you cars he is working on in his shop and shoot the xxxx! My experience today was different (for the better) because the small issues I had with the car he was willing to sit down and go over making a list to fix before we made a deal… where I am used to the seller dropping the notorious “the car is priced for what your getting”. Anyways, he has clean cars there and stands by them with a warranty that is rare in the used car business. And trust me when you talk to him you know he will stand behind his warranty and his cars. That is why I will be going back.. he just had a vehicle come in that I like but is not ready yet. Thanks again Phat for all the knowledge and just being a cool dude!

I am original owner of this car. I have owned 3 other Lexuses, ES300, RX350 (2). My wife is the usual driver of the GS. She loves it as do I. It drives nice, responsive and plenty of power. Usual maintenance required and only major was timing belt with water pump and a tune up as recommended by Lexus.

We exchanged emails and made an appointment to meet with the internet sales reps. We arrived as schedule and had someone with us within 5 minutes. We negotiated pricing and ended up with a deal that beat anyone else within 200+ miles. No pressure sales and very earnest and straightforward about the deal. A DETAILED personalized walkthrough of the entire vehicle before we left the lot. EXTRA BONUS - we left the car at the dealership while we went to lunch and took a brief tour of Davis.

I have a 1999 Lexus LS 400. AZ car. Always garaged. Never seen salt. Just turned 100k miles. Showroom condition. Has 6 cd changer. Everything works. All panel gaps are perfect. No shop time. Wouldn’t trade it for a new one.

This car is great. Has lots of room. Is very comfortable. Is VERY reliable. It's quick, not fast, but quick enough. In the 7 years I've had it (I bought it used with 170,000 miles) I've only had to replace the alternator. Great car! It even drives well in the snow. Being RWD, I was a little skeptical about winter. But with snow tires it handles just as well as any AWD car in the snow.

I bought a new 1990 Lexus ls400 when they first came out in 1989. Wonderful car. Drove it until 2000 and never had a single problem with the exception of a light bulb going out.

Dylan was my salesman. He is the best. Dylan knew i covid-19 and he called everyday, even when i was at the hospital he still checked up on me. He helped me with all my paperwork that needed to be done. He made me feel great whit the whole deal he treated me like family. Love this car, it is safe, a dream to drive, can go out in any weather, and so safe. Loved having my kids in it knowing we were in the best of the best. Believe it or not I found a '95 SC 400 in a parking of a electrical shop,"alternators, starters, etc....I bought and had been driven hard. I paid $800 for it and it for 5 years, parked in the winter and every spring just opened the door reached in and turned the key and it was running. I drove the car hard until I let a friend drive home one night, it had some electrical issues the radio didn't work and I didn't care. Well my x-friend decided to tear it apart and that was the end of but hands down one of the funnest, coolest cars I've ever had and I've had 100's.

I've had my rx300 for 6 years.the only problem I have.it leak oil and it gets a misfire code and want shift into running gear.ive had this worked on 3 times with the same results a few months later.
