A few weeks ago I purchased a used car at McGrath Acura in Libertyville and wanted to share my experience. When I arrived I was greeted by Ethan Sevilla. I bought the Reserve trim with the Tech package, Climate Package, 3.0l Twin Turbo V6, and AWD. Overall - This is a take on the modern American midsize luxury sedan that accidentally became the fastest vehicle Lincoln has ever made. Comfort - The seats in the MKZ feel more akin to a neatly fitted recliner with its many leavers to get the perfect position. It might take a few moments to get everything just right, but when you do, it's like sitting on a fluffy golden retriever. Its warm, comfortable, and always happy to see you. Drivability - This is an easy vehicle to drive. The AWD is great for putting the power down and not getting stuck on ice or mud. The handling is soft enough to put the family to sleep at the end of the day. Great visibility, easy to drive at night even in the rain. Interior - The inside looks, feels, and fits the price of this car and not the typical cheap American sedan. Touch points are nice. The inputs work how you would expect them to work. The return of physical buttons and knobs are welcome one, I much rather have the controls of a 4th generation fighter jet over a smart phone. Tech - The tech is fine. Blindspot is fine. Radar cruise control is fine. The auto high beams is fine. The touch screen OS is hopeless. The backup camera is fine. The stereo is fine. Performance - This is my favorite part of the car. Keep it in the low RPMs and you are just driving around any plain whatever V6 sedan. Nothing unusual here. Start rolling into the power and at 2750 you will hit max torque of 400 lbft. Planted your foot firmly to the floor and you will get all 400 HP at 5500 RPMs. With some grippy tires, the tested 0-60 is 4.8s. This makes this sedan a bit of a sleeper. Like I said, this version of the MKZ accidently became Lincoln's fastest car. Exterior - The MKZ has been accused of being a "tart" up ford fusion, but this revision is actually different. The MKZ is physically taller, wider, longer, and its own styling. Lincoln's design language is to be subtle and not draw attention. Paint in black with its shiny grill, it looks more like a 2000s jag than a 2010's ford. Reliability - 59000 miles and had to replace a sparkplug cable for an intermit issue. No other issues to report. Value - Used market is where a car like this has a ton of value. 400 hp, fit and finish, comfort you'd expect, and at a price that most could afford. Look at any of its competitors and they will have less features, less power, or cost way more for similar. If you dont want the power, you can find better options, but for the entire package this is difficult to beat.

I was there today because, as it turns out, the service team damaged a tire pressure sensor a few weeks ago when replacing one of my tires. So the fact that I was there at all was very annoying. But I was treated courteously, given a reasonable expectation of how long it would take, (that time estimate was accurate) and a clear statement that the problem was due to an error by the service department. I appreciate that acceptance of accountability. The oil change and car wash was nice, too.

Inherited a loaded 2017 Lincon Reserve from my uncle. 20 Inch rims, 3.0 bi-turbo, upgraded Revel sound system...the works. I own an Audi A8L which IMO sets the bar for interior design and ergonomics and this is the only area where the Lincoln trails the Audi. The options, ride and feeling of driving a luxury vehicle is comparable to the Audi as well. I some areas even superior. The Lincoln has been trouble-free for a year whereas the Audi, being overengineered, is prone to reliability issues. I love the outside doorhandles to the Lincoln and its profile but I'm still trying to love the rear end design. To me this is the shortcoming from a design perspective. Other than this, a great car!

I love this car! It’s stylish, comfortable and dependable. I bought it in 2012, I’m the 2nd owner of this beauty (it was love at first sight). Besides tires and a battery Ive only replaced the starter and the brakes. It has never failed its state mandated inspection. It’s red and still looks as beautiful as it did in 2012. Trunk is roomy and holds everything I have to haul around. I would give it ********** because 5 stars is just not enough for this car!!

Very comfortable, surprisingly quick for an inline 4. No real engine problems after 4 years of owning it. Still runs fine at 240k+ miles. I wish the interior roof was black and not PB colored.

I just bought a 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS 53 AMG from Chicago Auto Place. I'm out of state but deal was great. Took about 5 days to get delivered. Longer than i wanted but they delivered. Kept communications the entire time. Ricky was great. In the process i got worried and started researching. There are some people years ago that didn't review well. I really don't thinknthe deserve those reviews. After i got the car i asked the owner about them. He said they changed their business modelnto higher end cars with lower miles. And it has worked for them. I am 100% happy and have a stellar car. Inwould recommended whole-heartedly. They are in Chicago and i amnin Texas. Stressful buying online but they delivered on all cylinders.

just purchase an extremely low miles off lease 2019 MKZ from a local dealer. This car is extremly comfortable and has excellent handling and comfortable ride. Sound system is one of the best i have heard.The 2.0 turbo is powerful and quite. I am normally partial to GM, but this Ford product tops the list. Very satisisfied with this vehicle.

We bought our 2017, AWD 3.7L Select 3 years ago, an off lease car with 31,000 miles on it and we now have just shy of 50,000 miles on it. A coolant leak repaired under warranty within the first week of ownership, last year (year 2) a defective rear door latch button (interior) replaced and the automatic trunk needed a repair later in the year. All told $500 out of pocket in repairs. The fit, finish and interior are outstanding (I traded in a 2005, 3 series BMW for this car, and the Continental’s materials build quality is equal or better). Judge for yourself- but the critical reviews of others simply not justified in my opinion. The ride of this car is not up to 1960s luxury car standards (Lincoln or Cadillac), nor is the noise isolation. The 3.7L V-6 in our car is the same used in previous generations of Mustangs and it shows. I grew up with those ‘60s and ‘70s American luxury cars and I drove them as a teenager (my parents’ and grandparents’ cars). On the other hand, no car currently made can equal the quiet soft ride of those cars. This Continental, however, is close enough it took me back in time. Someone at Lincoln did their homework. The trade off here is exceptional (comparative) acceleration out of a normally aspirated V-6; working harder than a big block V-8 of the ‘60s, but scooting the substantial weight of this car faster than anything of its like made in the ‘60s. The car also out handles those old boats. A fair trade off. I actually love this car. It doesn’t pretend to be anything but 100% American. We actually bought it over a Mercedes S class after driving the Mercedes. A shame Lincoln saw fit to discontinue it, the Continental represents the end of an era (at least so long as Cadillac insists on mimicking a BMW). Nothing is perfect, my complaints are few. The transmission as others have noted can give a rough downshift from time to time at lower speeds. But overall it is well behaved. If left out during winter, ice can collect at the back of the trunk lid where it meets the glass and it must be removed if the trunk is to be opened. Similarly, ice can collect around the folded mirrors and should be removed before starting the car. Ice tends to collect in the door handles’ inner hoops and may need to be chipped away. Our car with a winter package, supposedly has heated windshield wipers, nowhere in evidence. Gas mileage isn’t as bad as some report. Our car has exceeded the EPA mpg estimates. We average close to 19 mpg in town and 26 mpg on the highway on regular.

Bought this 2017 in 2023 after owning an 2009 MKZ for 4 years. It is an extremely comfortable, stylish car with impressive performance. I love the interior and ergonomics, wonderful sound system, and more features than I can itemize. Money well spent!

I bought my Signature Town Car new in 2007 and used it as an airport limousine for four years I kept it as my private vehicle after the airport contract expired and have driven it daily ever since. It now has 510,000 miles on the original engine. The transmission was rebuilt at just over 300,000 miles. The car runs like new, with regular maintenance. The oil change guys freak out when they hear how quiet and smooth the engine is. Best built, best riding car I've ever owned. Amazing vehicle.

Bought a used one not a problem at all runs smooth. The interior is as comfortable as sitting on a couch. Love this car. After being 13 years old the only issue is the rocker panels are starting to rust. It spent most of it's life in NH. So being from a high salt use area, that's very good! It also holds it's value. Bonus.

We purchased a car from Dart Motors for our daughter. We walked in, they let her drive whatever she wanted & were very pleasant to deal with, not like your typical used car salesman that stalks you on the lot. They had no problem with us taking it to our mechanic to have it checked out. It coded on a few items & they repaired those items & even items that we didn’t ask them to fix. They also give a 3 month power train warranty as a bonus as a standard practice. The paperwork process only took an hour. They are wonderful here. They really care & they have some pretty cool cars. I have a 2014 Lincoln MKZ V6 with 80k miles. I bought 3 years ago for 14k. I just put 3k into it for a water pump and timing belt. I wasn't expecting that at such low miles.

I am a senior citizen and have been a car guy all my life. I have had close to 100 cars, all sporty, with big engines and options. I always have favored "Sleepers", if you like cars, you know what I mean. My 2020 MKZ 3.0 400HP AWD does 0 - 60 in 4.9 seconds and has been reviewed as the fastest Lincoln ever. All with every option and great comfort ! Get one while you can, they will be a classic.

This car is essentially a taurus sho in a suit and there is nothing wrong with that. My family owned this car from 2015 till 2021 we put 60,000 miles on it it was a fantastic vehicle obviously if you're buying one of these you want to check the water pump as long as that is done the motors tend to be fine because it's based on a taurus SHO it has decent power and at this point the infotainment is dated but that's to be expected. The interior is decent it's a step up from the Ford and most of the materials feels nicer however I don't like the touch sensitive buttons which I'm sure looked high-tech in 2013 but now they break that being said it's easy to fix with a hammer you don't feel the typical cheap Ford plastic all of it is at least covered in vinyl and everything feels decent to touch it is not the quality of let's say a Mercedes E-Class but it is an improvement from a Ford Taurus. The car doesn't look that bad when you live with it it kind of looks ugly in the pictures but if you get one in the right color it doesn't look terrible once again the same as the Taurus which it's based off of it has decent trunk space and it does sedan things fairly well also like the Taurus it does really well on the highway though it is geared less aggressive you can get a massage doing 85mph with little to no road noise with the audio system in the EcoBoost being adequate enough. The usual issues being the water pump there were some other problems the chrome wheels were starting to chip despite the fact that we tried our best to take care of them and there was rust in the drivers door from NJ and Vermont winters besides that fantastic car they're a good deal right now and they're a nice Factory sleeper

What can I say about the MKS, personally I drive a lot of miles for work (Chrysler) I started looking at sedans and fell in love with mks. Leg room is amazing and gas mileage is great for what I need it to do, I drive a lot of highway miles and tend to hate the sun so the retractable window shades have helped out a lot!

Communicated with John Leno from the Schaumburg facility online. John understood my needs and responded quickly with Jeeps to review - after a bit of humming and hawing on my part, I changed my mind to trucks. I found a truck at another facility, John had it tranferred and within 2 days my soon to be truck arrived - and it is a beauty. John was training Matt and they both demonstrated immense knowledge throughout the interaction and I appreciated the ease of communication (not pushy). I cannot comment on the financing portion of the transaction, but closing went just as smoothly with Hubert and his supervisor. WHile impressed with my transaction I was also impressed with the amount of time that was placed on the training of new employees, or employees transferring. While yes my truck need a repair on the fog lights, it is covered under their warranty, I am highly impressed with my experience. From walking in the front door, to having John take my picture of me and my truck with a giant yellow ribbon... every individual at Carmax truly made the buying and trading experience a wonderful experience. Before purchasing my 2015 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, I was blissfully nieve. I had thought hybrid cars were sloth quick. I had also mistakenly thought that Lincolns were for Old Geezers. . .WRONG ! ! ! Lincoln redesigned their fleet and their MKZ had become their force to be reckoned with. Sexy styling, quick throttle response, luxurious interior styling, with a perfect meshing of every conceivable creature comfort/option. Having enjoyed 40+ mpg with my Hydrid, I became a believer. If anyone is searching for a a car that will surely alter their perspectives in a most pleasant way, do yourself a huge solid, and check out the 2015 LINCOLN MKZ HYBRID (FWD) ! ! TRULY A GAME-CHANGER!
