I was shopping for a reliable used car for my son, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the process. Mike was very easy to work with. Two years ago, when we were ready to move to Conn from Ohio, we asked our Subaru customer rep in Columbus to recommend a Subaru dealership that we could depend on. He gave us Garavel's specific contact info and that was very helpful when we needed some minor adjustments to one of our leased cars after we moved to Conn. More recently, in October 2018, we had a real catastrophe when both of our Ohio Subaru Foresters were totaled in a flash flood so we got in a rental car and went back to Garavel. We met Gary Bauman who understood our dilemma. We knew that we wanted two Foresters and Gary knew everything about the great new features and he explained and demonstrated them to us. When we said goodbye to Gary the first time, Joe drove home in a 2019 Forester that was available in the lot - it had his name on it. Jeanne was happy to wait a little longer for her beautiful red 2019 Forester that is the envy of everyone, and when we said goodbye to Gary the second time, we were completely satisfied. Since then, we have recommended Gary and Garavel to others whose cars were destroyed in that flood. We are certainly satisfied customers. Thank you, Gary and Garavel! I give Lutesville Ford my highest recommendation possible. I've purchased many vehicles from private sellers as well as dealerships in the past; Their whole staff/facility/experience at this dealership is top notch. I live in Minneapolis, MN and flew down to the Cape Girardeau airport to look at the truck I had my eye on. (I ultimately purchased it from them) The dealership is located roughly 30 minutes away from the airport and they were more than willing to send a courtesy car to pick me up so I didn't have to take a cab. I'm a mechanic myself, and was very happy to see that this truck was not falsely advertised online, and actually exceeded my expectations upon inspection. (Which was a good thing considering I drove the truck 10.5 hours after buying it back to Minnesota with no issues whatsoever) The whole staff was friendly (not the "fake friendly" that some dealers show to make a sale). These people I truly felt were genuine and run a fantastic operation. Everyone from the courtesy car driver, to the salesman, to the gal in financing, and the folks at the front desk made me feel like a friend of theirs, and a customer that matters. Even though they're almost 11 hours away from me, if the need arises for another vehicle, I won't hesitate to make the extra effort to come see them again. I heard their dealership has been in business for over 80 years... They're obviously doing something right here. Today the guys at Ole Ben Franklin Motors in Alcoa really saved me. My 2 yr old Lincoln MKZ was showing low battery in the key so I decided to change the batteries in both key fobs. They came apart easily but over 2 hrs later a total of 4 intelligent adults were unable to put them back together, so I am thinking I have to drive all the way into Knoxville to the delearship where I purchased the car. I had company coming and really didn’t have time but my car was useless until I did. So I jumped into my old Ford truck and took off. On the way I passed Ole Ben Franklin Motors so I thought why not try to see if they could do it. I walked in and explained my problem and the first guy asked if I bought the car from them. I said no and he said OK and went right to work on the fob. After a couple of minutes he decided there must be some trick to it and walked me over to Tom Weiss the general manager. Tom immediately smiled at me, took the fob and went to work on it. It took him about 4-5 minutes but he got it together and handed it back to me. I thought I may be pushing my luck a bit but took the other fob out of the bag and asked if he would do that one too. It was in 4 pieces so soon a delightful young named Mitchell walked up and between them both they got the second one back together. THANK YOU TOM AND MITCHELL for your graciousness. I was treated like their best customer ever even though they knew I had never purchased anything from them. They are the kind of people I love doing business with so I will give them a try the next time I need a car.
My experience here was great. They were friendly and great at making things work out. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't get my first car.
