2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
This is my second Miata. I also own an ‘03 NB and have put a lot into it over the years. I’ve eyeballed ‘16+ Miatas for years and finally found a ‘21 Grand Touring with 2k miles on it and bought it. Aesthetically, it is a beautiful car. Ergonomically, everything is in its proper place and I fit perfectly at 6’. I have the seat pushed all the way back so anyone taller could possibly find themselves uncomfortable. I swapped the original rims and tires out for some Konig rims and Continental all-season tires. The stock rims are 7” wide and the aftermarket are 8” wide: more traction on the road. Off the line, you can chirp the tires so the power is certainly adequate. The manual gear box is tight and shifts cleanly. It is an extremely fun, nimble, and reliable car. The Grand Touring has the leather, backup camera, and Bose stereo. I have driven this car hard through the “twisties” and cruised it 500 miles with no reservations. There isn’t anything really needing done to this car; it is a fantastic ride out of the box. I did, however, give the performance a “4” because I know there is room for growth with aftermarket products. Nevertheless, you won’t be disappointed. Be careful though! My buddy wrecked his ‘19 Miata RF two weeks ago pushing it just a little too hard.

1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
This is a car that makes you feel like you are driving instead of just steering the family car. It has both driving personality and good looks. Horsepower? Not a lot, but it is sporty and brisk, and an absolute riot to drive on blacktop country roads, just like you would expect from a car intended to be Mazda's version of a tyoical small British open top sports car. It sticks to the road like glue and takes a bit of work to kick the tail out in a tight corner. Don't shift below 4k or you'll fall alseep, and don't lug it, it's more like a big bike engine than a small car engine and doesn't care a bit about the rpm, well within reason lol. Dotted redline at 6500, redline at 7000, I like to shift at 4700-4800 as it breathes nicely in that range, unless really pushing it. Very reliable and easy car to maintain.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
We have owned the car for a month and have put on 3,000 miles. Its a lot of fun to drive but the passenger side is really lacking in leg room and the center console controls are difficult to get to. Its a real head turner!

One of the most fun and overall best cars ever made, in its class. Perhaps the best roadster ever. Classic and legendary. Everything the classic British and Italian roadsters were aiming for, but also including Japanese reliability, efficiency, and great ergonomics. Perhaps best standard transmission feel in history. Bottled youth, mounted on wheels.
