This is a pure driver's car, there are hardly any bells and whistles trying to sway you from the real experience: the drive. It's lightweight and extremely playful even with traction control. Not a lot of power, but it puts down it's power where it needs it the most. Even highway off ramps feel like a 2Fast2Furious moment.

Bought this car for my wife, hoping I'd get to drive it now and then. I surely would have preferred the 6 speed but it is hers after all. We have been considering a Miata for years but I always had a problem with the lack of security of the softop model.This car is great driving machine. The power to weight ratio is as good as it gets. Comfortable, excellent BOSE stereo, beautiful inside and out. The Grand Touring amenities are as good as it gets.

I live in California and wanted a Ford Escape Hybrid with AWD and the cold weather package. I could not find a dealer in Calif that had one or one that wanted to help me find one out of state. I found this one on the Ford website. From my first call to Baxter Ford I spoke to Jodee. She assisted me thru the whole process. I was happy to be able to deal with just one person. I'm sure I was not the easiest customer as I was in California, buying a car out of state for the first time. Jodee was avail for all of my calls and questions even after hours due the 2 hour time difference. She was very professional. I had to fly from California to Des Moines thenhad a family member drive me to Omaha. One long day. Jodee met me at front door when I arrived at the dealership. She made the whole purchase very easy. If you love driving, this is for you. I love every moment in this car. It is perfectly balanced, and carves curves like a sharp knife. The manual transmission is fantastic, with hill assist so you don't roll backwards. The styling is a head Turner. The fun factor is on par with nothing else that returns up to 40 mpg on the highway.

I have never driven a rotary, let alone own one. I have heard that this car is troublesome at times and should be enthusiast owned. That is my only reason for giving it 4 stars. To prepare new owners for the possibility of what may happen if neglected. It has never given me any problems since having it personally. It's a blast to drive!!! The suicide rear doors are a killer plus for me. 4 door access with the look of only 2 doors... are you kidding me??? LOVE IT!!! The rear windows only pop out on a hinge. If you have an enthusiast Jr. (like me) who wants a face full of breeze, then it's a total bummer for them. He still enjoyed the ride because it was sporty and modified though.

This car is in excellent condition. The body and convertible roof are in great shape. The paint is in great shape, wheels and tires look great. Everything on it is original and in good condition. Everything has been well maintained since 1988. It is still a go getter, smooth ride.

This is a great, fun, solid car. I can't stress that enough, the steering, power, weight ratio, is just perfectly balanced. The 1.3l Rotary engine is just amazing, and so much fu to drive. I've put over 12,000 miles on my Rx-7 and the only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I have a baby on the way. If it had a backseat, I'd probably keep it! The only thing is the reliability. I've had 3 problems within the last month, all little things, and easily fixable, but annoying when it's your daily driver. Thankful that I have a motorcycle as a backup vehicle.

I have owned 3 RX-7's . They are a great Sports Car Just keep it Maintained and your Good to Go. One Note if you Start it you Must run it for a min. of 2 min or drive around the block, If not it will flood the Engine. The Rx-8 are Real Bad about it you must Replace the Plugs Am told. the 1986 is more forgiving. Great Car!
