I love my 2018 Mazda CX-5 to absolutely no end! I have a blast driving it, and it is my first car. I have the Touring FWD model, but it does NOT skimp out on features, it has blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, back-up camera, Automatic Emergency Braking, airbags EVERYWHERE, and whole plethora of other safety features. It is very quick, reliable, and fun to drive. My only complaint is there is not much in the way of cabin storage. But it is not a deal breaker, since the trunk of the car has a large cargo area, and lots of room in the spare tire area. It has an amazing Bose speaker system and I was given this car for my birth day at about 30k miles, but it was purchased new. I have FWD (Front wheel drive) but it still does amazing in conditions like rain, and minor snow. It is also the only car from this segment that placed a good rating on the IIHS Crash Test. It is often on par with luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes but having the advantage of being half the cost and Japanese so it lasts forever and also since it's not German, the repairs won't cost a house mortgage. However, if you get a 2018, make sure you get an updated Navigation SD Card. I cannot recommend this car enough, it is perfect in nearly everyway. I am now a loyal Mazda customer, and will always have a Mazda in my garage, I trust them more than any other automaker. Perks: Large backseat (I am 6'1 and can for the most part fit comfortably in the back) Fun to drive Fuel efficient Safety Feature galore Reliable and cheap to maintain Excellent use of space Cons: If I had to choose, not as much cabin storage as I want, but I want more than the average person.

I am delighted with my 2023 CX-5 Signature in the hard-to-find Eternal Blue. I've had it about one year now and it's more than adequate for my driving needs. No, I don't need a rattle-prone pano sunroof. The six-speed non-CVT transmission is just fine. Never need or use(less) the paddle shifters. Performance with regular fuel is just fine. As an "early senior", I don't need huge cargo or passenger space. Only complaints are the Apple CarPlay isn't wireless; and miss the power tilt/telescope steering wheel and power memory exit seat that I had on my unbeloved '20 Lexus NX (which I was glad to get rid of!). All told, I'm a Mazda believer and buh-bye Lexus!

The service was great and fast. There was not extra add-ons that some dealership try to get you to buy.

We have owned our 2022 CX-5 Turbo for 10 moths and it is a great vehicle. Our previous SUV was an Acura RDX Advance. It too was great but this Mazda is of a higher quality and $10-$15,000 less when purchased new. Every once in a while the doors don’t lock when I walk away (I have it set up to do so) and that is the only issue I have had in 10 months and 10,000 miles. I highly recommend any Mazda product. We also own a ‘21 Miata RF, have owned several Miatas along with a Mazda6 Signature and a CX-9 Grand Touring. All have been great vehicles.

Big shout out to the team at Koons Toyota for making me and my mother very happy. They went above and beyond to make sure my mother and I were taken care of. Purchased my 2020 Mazda CX-5 while actually shopping for a Nissan Rogue. I Purchased from a Nissan dealership which I'll never do again if I ever purchase another Mazda. The vehicle was listed for $23,899.00 with 23,633 miles. Love the power and over all handling of the vehicle. The Machine Gray Metallic color is awesome as well.. Read alot of good things about the CX-5 as well as some horror stories. To soon to tell with just owning it a little over a month but hoping for the best time will tell..

This is my first CX-5. I love it. Previously I drove a mazda tribute which was a 6 cylinder. I was reluctant to purchase a smaller vehicle with a smaller engine, but I’ve been pleased. My only negative comment is regarding the leg room in the back seat. It’s not great but workable for most average size adults.

My car was stolen and destroyed, and I was left without transportation. This was devastating to me, but I had to keep it moving as life does not wait so, I had to look for new transportation. I ended up at Alexandria Toyota. Never in my life have I met so many nice and wonderful people in one place and never has such a huge process been so easy! The manager, the finance team and all the salespeople were all just top notch, and I am so glad I chose them to help me start a new chapter in my life! We looked at Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, and Mazda and selected the Mazda CX-5. Honda and Toyota have priced themselves out of the middle-class budget, and Nissan’s Achilles Heel is their very brittle CVT transmission. Mazda is by far the best-looking, has AWD as standard equipment (a $1,200 to $1,500 option on other brands), easy-to-read gauges and dash, nice sound system, soft-touch dash and doors usually found only on “premium” brands, the best price, and the most beautiful factory color on the road: Soul Red. Our family has owned vehicles from all 5 companies, and have been totally happy with our problem-free CX-3. Anyone looking to buy a compact crossover should consider the CX-5.

Have had our 2022 for 8 months now. It's been great, the fit/finish and ride are superior, IMHO, then my previous CRV and Rav4 vehicles. The only thing I would like to see is a touch screen entertainment center rather then the manual knob. The interior is well laid out with quality accents, feel and quiet, again far superior to our previous SUVs. So far it's been mechanically sound with no issues and we are enjoying it very much.

We were loyal Subaru owners previously but were forced to look at other car makers when the 2025 forester had problems and recalls. The 2025 Mazda cx-5 was the most similar car, with no recalls or issues. We were pleased with the price and ready availability, made the jump from Subaru and haven't looked back. We owned several Subaru's previously and never had any issues with them - our most recent was fifteen years old. As retirees, the new safety features like the backup screen and warnings for blind spots are terrific. I just hope the Mazda proves to be as problem-free. Also, the Mazda CX-5 was highly rated by our insurance co. and lowered the cost of our insuring our new car.

I did an extensive research on Japanese SUV’s and I kept coming back to the Mazda CX5. This vehicle is beautiful inside and out and is amazingly smooth and quiet. It also has really good handling and plenty of power even with the 4 cylinder. I think Mazda gives the best bang for the buck of all the Japanese car brands. I highly recommend the Mazda CX5.

Professionals all around who made the process easy for multiple car purchases. I do a decent number of commercial/business vehicle purchases (8-10 vehicles/year), and these guys were great at cutting through the noise to get to our target and not waste my time...and with no surprises. I have the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition. The car is beautiful, sports mode is great for picking up speed on the highway, the app is great and it has all the features I wanted in a great price- sunroof, remote start, leather seats, etc. Drawbacks: Backseat: Car seat does not have as much room in the back (I knew this prior to purchasing, but I didn't think it would be that bad. Unfortunately I do wish it had more leg room especially as my 5 year old continues to grow). Tire pressure is not displayed inside the vehicle. This has already impacted me when I had a blow out on the highway, I had no idea my tire was losing air. Other than these factors, I am happy with my purchase.

The CX-90 is our 3rd Mazda purchase. We've been owners since 1995, starting with the Mazda Protégé, and had our eye on the new 2025 CX-90 SUV since last year. The Safford Brown staff was welcoming and professional, and our sales rep, Joshua Cruz allowed us to take our time to look around, and really listened to our desires and never felt rushed or pressured to buy. (We even left and came back a couple of weeks later!) We weren't exactly sure of what color, and type of package etc., but Josh was patient, and very informative about each series, which aided in our decision-making. This proud Mazda owner is very satisfied with our purchase, car performance and the staff at Safford-Brown Mazda!!! 5 stars!!!

I love my 2014 Mazda CX-5. It is technically a 2014, but apparently no 2014s on Cars.com to review. It is so reliable—requires just basic maintenance like oil changes, new windshield wipers and tires as you’d need on any vehicle. Handles well, even on snow. Wish it had a turbo engine, but it’s plenty fast and not an issue. Never had any big expenses or surprises. My only 1st world complaint is the outdated/cumbersome GPS system and it sometimes doesn’t connect to my Bluetooth when trying to play Pandora—but the phone has never been an issue. I may look for a newer to me CX-5 just for something new to drive! My step-son may be the lucky one in line to drive the 2014 CX-5 next!

Excellent car. Completely fallen in love with the adaptive cruise control. I live in LA and using it on the highway with a lot of traffic is amazing. Also works great in low speeds.

I waited a few months before writing a review. Bought a truck back in May/June. Charles Harris helped me out when I came in to look at the truck the first time, he ran some numbers for me and I left. Didn’t feel any pressure at all into buying the vehicle, I left because I had a few others ones I was looking at as well. I came back about a week later, truck was still there and I had came back on time, there was someone else interested in as well. I had gave Charles a call ahead of time and let him know I was stopping but to make the purchase. The manager was also super helpful during the process. I believe his name was Phillip. After buying the truck, the check engine light came on while driving it home. I ran my scanner and found the issue, contacted Charles about it and he spoke with his manager, they had me bring it in the next day and took care of it at no cost. I was afraid they would pull something on me but no issues no back and forth, they took care of me. It’s been a couple of months with having the truck now, no issues with the truck and no complaints.

I bought my 2023 CX-5 Premium Plus back in March and haven’t regretted my choice since. I love this car! Took awhile to acclimate to the infotainment selection dial, but now that I have, it’s easy to use. The interior design and component selection are impeccable. The handling and acceleration (for a 4 cylinder) are also very impressive. Only con is the limited cargo space.

I love my Mazda 2016 grand touring CX-5. It has been a very reliable vehicle. Cruise control operates perfectly. Great Bose sound system. I wish it got better gas mileage. Not impressed with the navigation system! I am not happy at all with the exterior paint or interior carpeting!

This is my second CX-5. This first was a 2016 I bought in 2019 and loved tremendously and then it was totaled when I was rear-ended by someone texting and driving during Covid. I drove a sort of hand-me-down Jeep for a while during the weird Covid period when everything was uncertain but knew I wanted another CX-5 as soon as I felt financially comfortable. The car is extremely comfortable, handles well and has a beautiful streamlined and simply classic look. My partner who is a die-hard Mercedes snob even loves it!

Love my new car. The price was great and much cheaper than others for the same vehicle. I have been wanting a Jeep for years and so happy I found one that I love. And it’s a 2022. Yay! The process was easy and quick. Farhan was super friendly, very responsive and very patient. I emailed him every few days for 3 weeks while I was making my decision and he always responds quickly and did not rush or pressure me into buying anything. When I finally visited the process was quick, we were in and out within 30 minutes. Which is something that I asked about ahead of time because this location is 2 hours away from me. Worth the drive. Just got my MD state inspection and the vehicle passed and is in great condition. So happy with my purchase.

Test drove a used 2019 CX-5 two days ago and loved it. However, the exterior had a number of scratches and no sunroof, which is a must. Came home, looked online and found an immaculate 2018 CX-5 with only 31K miles at a Mazda dealer 70 miles away. Test drove it this morning and brought it home this afternoon. Smooth acceleration, quiet cabin, absorbs bumps nicely. Feels like driving a much more expensive care. Touring model gives you all the features you would expect in a much more expensive car. Looking forward to many years of driving comfort and enjoyment. PS Took a very critical friend with me to check out the car, and he had nothing but praise for it.

My service advisor, Michael, was the best! I had an inquiry about my car and he took the time to check everything and even test drive it. I then had to get a new battery and was lucky enough to reach Michael again and he got me in and out before I could get settled in the waiting room! He was very patient and personable. Great service! I highly recommend him and this dealership!

Very comfortable, drives great, awful entertainment system. Instead of touch screen there is a dial you turn to select radio, Waze, basically everything for screen. It's difficult. Dial doesn't move smoothly and you wind up looking down and giving so much attention, you can get in an accident. If your not a person to use different apps in car then it's great otherwise get a vehicle with touch screen.

Living in Orlando, you know it’s kinda hard not to have a car to get you from place to place, especially when you are trying to juggle work, school, and personal life. As a person who works in the medical field, and having to be around patients on a daily basis, be at church twice a week, and as a nursing student, be able to get to my classes, and Clinical’s in a timely manner, it’s kind of hard not having a car to be able to do the things that I need to do. So I went onto my company’s website and saw that we had an opportunity to purchase a car through offlease Orlando, and I have been praying since February 2024 to get a Mazda CX-5, and when I saw they had two available. I called and spoke with Briana the BDC Rep who was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and showed her eagerness to assist me, she made sure that I received a text and email to remind me of my appt and my sales rep. When I got to the dealership, I met with Orlando who was one of my sales reps, and he was partnered with Jarid who into the office showed, showed me around, explain to me how the process was going to go since this was my first vehicle purchase, and they really made me feel welcomed. As one of the cars was already sold, the one that I really wanted it was actually here still and just waiting for me to call it mine and take it home. I have been driving Toyotas for 12 yrs. I intended to downsize to a Toyota Rav4 from the Highlanders. When I saw how expensive they were and how plain and cheap the interior was, I decided to look around. I did some research and decided to look at the Mazda CX5. Wow! What a nicely appointed car and quite peppy with the "sport" feature engaged. Two years later, I still love my car. MPG are good and it is the perfect size. Bye, bye Toyota.
