2018 Mercedes-Benz SL 450 review
Excellent performing V6. And I say this after having owned an AMG SLK, an SL500 and an SL550. This one handles better than any of those 3, is an excellent performer (albeit, of course, not quite as fast as the SL550) and don't be turned-off by Mercedes typical conservative performance stats. Road and Track's are far more accurate: "0-60 in 4.5 seconds; and 107MPH in the standing quarter." Then compare it cost-wise to the price of an SL550 identically equipped (V8 excepted) it's more than $18,000 less costly. All-in-all, an EASY and wise choice. Fine GT car!

I have owned a Ferrari and 2 Porsche models as well as numerous BMW. The 450SL is in many respects all of them wrapped into a a tidy wonderful car. There is nothing not like in this beautifully designed 2 seater.

2018 Mercedes-Benz SL 450 review
Very happy with the '17 to date refresh of the R231 SL series. The new front facial treatment is much more sleek and balanced that the original take from the 2013 entry. New 9 speed transmission is so smooth you think it is a one speed.

Mercedes Benz of Orlando stands as a remarkably pleasant experience for me. I showed up unannounced to see a couple of vehicles I was interested in. Being warmly received by John at the entrance was just the begging of the positive experience. I was accommodated with every request, every question was answered with clarity. One week later I was picked up at home driven to Mercedes Benz of Orlando to pick up my new 2026 GLA 250. 2018 Mercedes-Benz SL 450 review
Great GT. Very comfortable. Excellent performance. Super good looking. Would buy again. Is the 3rd SL we've owned and, is likely, THE best one of all. Doesn't have that V8 sound but at $20K less in price, we'll accept that . . . in a heartbeat! I.e. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and 107 MPH in the standing 1/4 mile is plenty quick enough!

The craftmanship and accessories are beyond what you are used to in other vehicles. Truly luxurious! Great Ride! Great acceleration and stopping! This is truly a very unique auto - in my opinion the BEST hardtop convertible on the market - and I've driven many.
