The Mercury Sable is essentially a Ford Taurus with minor variations, mostly to the exterior styling. I find it a very comfortable, dependable, and practical car, an excellent value for the money. The roomy back seat and very large trunk space are great for family trips or transporting lots of stuff. The 3-liter V6 200 hp engine is well known for its dependability and longevity, many exceeding 200,000 miles. A very fine American made vehicle.

We searched all over Northern Virginia for a reliable used car for our college aged daughter. In October 2020 I purchased my 2020 Ford Explorer ST at Koons Sterling Ford and have loved every minute of driving it. I've had it in for regular maintenance and recalls at the dealership but just recently on September 26, 2025, I had my best experience when I brought my Explorer in for a new battery. I had the pleasure of having Bradley Cadenas as my service rep and was very impressed with his professionalism and his outstanding product knowledge regarding my Ford Explorer. I wasn't aware of the FordPass reward points I had accumulated, and Bradley was very helpful in helping me manage these and applying them towards the cost of the new battery and related service work. I felt like I got the "red carpet" treatment and look forward to working with Bradley in the future--he is a credit to the dealership and particularly to the service department. This was a great find when I needed something to do besides watch TV. Looking for another car to rescue from possible hacks. This car will not disappoint. You keep as a collector car or drive it like you stole it. Strong running, everything works and I fixed using OEM parts to keep original as possible with exception of Coil Packs (Accel is great aftermarket equipment) and Alternator (impossible to find OEM new, reman yes).
