My 2006 Grand Marquis has 242,000 miles. I have never had a better all around car. It's my third, and I'm about to buy my 4th while I can still get one. On trips I've averaged over 25mpg. The only repairs are the normal wear items. It's comfortable, drives well, has ample room in the interior and has a large trunk. The 4.6 liter engine runs flawlessly and never uses oil. You can't beat these cars!

The 2003 Grand Marquis is my first car I have owned. I can honestly say that it is a phenomenal car. It is quite comfortable and, to quote one of my friends, "god xxxx that car hauls' xxx".

I am an old guy. I am not right off the turnip truck. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime. When buying a car, I immediately tighten my chin strap and revert to Launch Missile readiness. None of that was necessary in my dealings with Salit Auto Sales. My rather rigid expectations were met, and then some. I mean, I am not one of those New Wave Morality dudes; my thing is old fashioned integrity. And I bought my new – and you’d think it was - very low mileage Mercury Grand Marquis at the right place, sight unseen, and then shipped it 3,000 miles. In all my years – and I won’t tell you how many that is – I have never had a car buying experience like this one. Steve, Mike, and Alan took care of everything. With a professional flair. Without excuses. I was, and remain, stunned. Even if you don’t need a car, go buy one from these guys. I hereby confer the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval on Salit Auto Sales.

This vehicle is super comfortable, powerful, has room for six and all their luggage, and still Gets 20MPG average. Rides like you are on air, but still gives good feedback of road. If it had a rear seat pass-through my planes wing would fit in and I would keep it.

For many years I have purchased Crown Vics and Mercury Grand Marquis. The Mercury Grand Marquis is a step up in quiet comfortable ride and interior quality. On the surface, both the Ford and Merc look very similar, but there is noticeable difference on the road. Most recent trip to California in the Merc gave us 25MPG at 65 to 75 miles per hour. Just a suggestion, buy only the Crown Vic or Mercury 2003 or above. Cars 2002 and older have an inferior plastic intake manifold that is prone to failure at about 100,000 miles. About a $1,200+ repair. The 2003 and above plastic manifold has been aluminum reinforced. Too bad Ford has discontinued both the Ford Crown Victoria and the Mercury Grand Marquis. They are missed by many loyal customers.

This is a great car!!! We are very happy with car, we have taken this on a few road trips to PA and back from IN and to VA and back. We like the comfort on this, the only draw back was the back seat is not very roomy for tall teenagers, but we've had this a long time and if fit two car seats very comfortably. I call this my old lady car, because when I am too old to get up into my Jeep, I am going to have this car for putting around.

I purchased my Sable brand spankin' new in '95. Still runs great. It still looks futuristic after all these years.

I was in the market to purchase a reliable used car for my daughter for under $5k. We had been all over town for a couple of weeks. If your looking for a diesel in Hampton Roads this is the place. Most dealerships have one maybe two. They have a WHOLE lot full of trucks and there is no way u come out of there without finding one that fits what ur looking for. Both in price and style/model. As soon as I got there I was greeted by Jason and he gave me the run down on all the trucks there in my price range. Looked at a few, took a test drive, and was out the door within an hour as happy as can be. BONUS: my wife discovered there was an issue with the sunroof. Jason made sure it would be fixed (in writing) prior to purchasing. I also got feel that if you go there for a vehicle and find anything wrong they would do the same thing. Mine is a 06 LS ultimate with the Handling performance package. Its a very reliable tank. Drives through the snow just fine. I hit a deer at 70mph and all it needed was a headlight assembly and a header panel. Also getting a go rhino front bumper with wrap around headlight protectors makes hitting black bears a non-issue, believe me I've hit one. Still think the car would benefit if it had 300hp

Roomy, powerful, quiet, comfortable, reliable. excellent gas mileage (I exceed the EPA rating). Extremely large cargo capacity. Edmunds said it right when they called it the most underrated car.

Due to a catastrophic engine failure on the mid-sized 4DR Sedan/hatchback I was driving, I made a crisi$ purchase of a 2008 Mariner in Jan 2019. The price was low, as it would soon need all new tires, new front brake pads & rotors, as well as both front steering control arms w/ball joints replaced, and, an alignment, of course, AND it had 239,ooo miles on that CD4E transmission. But inside was clean, and I was on a limited budget, and this car left me with some cash in hand for parts, and it would carry the stuff I need for work. So, I spent a weekend rolling around on the garage floor, replacing all the hard parts, got some good rubber on it, and paid for an alignment to get it driving straight: 25 months/25,ooo miles later, that V-6 is still going pretty strong, starts well in subzero (F) cold, and the transmission is still hanging in there, too! Runs pretty quiet: have to watch my speed! Just wish the upper display worked: if I bump the radio channel button, it takes a while to get back to my station!

This car is has plenty of legroom and is very comfortable. It was a large trunk, and the back seats fold down to allow even large objects to fit. It has been extremely reliable.

Fantastic vehicle. Reliable, consistent with minimum of needed repairs. Love this vehicle. We had had almost no issues as long as it's reliably maintained. Holds up to high miles exceedingly well. 258,000 and still going strong!!!!
