I Own 2 Montero sport in the last 10 years, the first 1997 V6 automatic transmision i buy it with 160000 miles and i sell it with 310000 with no problem AT ALL just normal service, my second i got it in 2013 is a 1998 4 cylinder Manual transmision with 140000 miles on it and i just replace the broken timing bell (was the original) and so far any problem, i hope this engine last tike the V6, if not i will replace it for a 2.8L Diesel but i will keep the body, is a great SUV it take me from A to B with not fancy lights or 10 Air bags in the same time that the other cars.

I have the montero sport 2001, 2.5 99cv cv, it has 317,000km and it is still working as the first day... On the road it is better not to go over 110km per hour. In Off-road the 4x4 system is amazing

This thing is built like a tank and can show itself off crawling rocks and driving in Sand deep sand, Even Sand Dunes like a champ! In 2020 these vehicles are undervalued on the used market. I have a 1991 VR4 and love it. It is by far the most comfortable car for any size and weight person. The seats really are great for long trips. The accessories are limitless: Electronic suspension, ABS, SRS, AWS, AWD, Active Areo, Active Exhaust, front and rear wipers with cleaners, dual intercoolers, oil cooler, plenty of gauges. These cars are fairly competitively priced today and as long as you can find an unabused one they are reliable as any other Japanese car from its era. They deliver a lot of power and control despite its curb weight and is a true luxary grant touring car. The interior is begging a bit outdated but the exterior design is still quite modern, and the engine has plenty of bells and whistles itself with variable oiling and a 0-60 time of around 5 seconds. The 5 speed is by far my favorite with a tall first, second, and third.

I bought this one. I've had two prior 1 the Dodger Stealth was the 3000GT without the Mitsubishi Logo, but it was on the interior and windshield. The second was a 3000GT. The Dodge was a 5 speed, the Mitsubishi was an automatic. The Dodge was a 24V dual overhead cam, the Mitsubishi was the standard engine. Both cars were excellent as far as handling and comfort. Only one mechanical issue and that was the water pump in the Dodge.

About a month ago I bought a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 for just over $4000. The car had 145k on the odometer, but the seller had the papers to prove that the motor and transmission are freshly rebuilt with only 4k miles on the rebuild. Lucky me. I drove the car 2 and a half hours on ride home, and have daily driven it since. Comfort is not the greatest in these cars. The ride is stiff, and there is constant road noise, especially traveling down the highway. Performance wise, this car has it all. Straight line acceleration is stratospheric, and the brakes feel like they might rip your face off. All Wheel Drive and All Wheel Steering make the car handle very, very well. However, at night, the dim dashlights make it hard to see how fast you are going, and this car does attract alot of attention. Both good and bad. I will provide an update in a few months time.

Ok,..for starters...this car is rediculusly fast for the year it was. It was twin turbo,all wheel drive with four wheel steering and active aero. At first I wasnt too impressed by the looks and styling,..but as soon as I got into the car I notice it had leather seats and a bunch of buttons and gauges in it. Lol, it sat very low too the ground like a Corvette or something and honestly it made me feel like I was sitting in the cockpit of a jet...really really. So after I got the keys and took it for a test drive,..as soon as I pulled off the lot and gave it some gas...instantly I felt a g force or something pin me to the seat...I knew then I was in love with this car..I've had this car for a few weeks and its still running strong,....I'm very happy with this car..!!!!!!

I was interested in a suv I called on a regular to ask questions and got answers Charlie was very helpful he seemed to be pretty honest I went there from Washington DC to see the vehicle but didn’t have time to really check it out when I drove it I felt a little vibration and was told it was the tires because it had been sitting so I decided to pass because it wasn’t a warranty and I had to get back to DC didn’t want to take any chances otherwise I had a good experience dealing with Charlie I just wish I could’ve had more time to check it out if I can get someone to go back to check it out I might go back to buy it or if they would put new tires on it to assure me that it’s just the tires one other thing I had to find a bank to purchase a cashiers check because they didn’t finance out of state that was what took up a lot of my time I’d also like to say I wasn’t pressured in any kinda way like big dealers Charlie was very patient

I’ve bought 2 3000Gt both used ! I’ve almost all of sports cars year or 2 older Usually look for a sports car when a girl/guy has to give up car for baby !Ive had luck buying used cars had to get rid of it that’s when I buy them ! Lol The red flip up lights I bought it & sold pretty quickly & Bought (My Fav pearl, white leather SL ! I loved the car ! )Handles great! Trust me fast! I think It’s had Excellent speed &very comfortable. I loved it the red but I just had a feeling about it I just looked at the car a lot ! Of course reason gut feeling driving fast ! With both cars! I thought I was going to not die not bc of the car just a feeling lol & not a fan lights. ! I didn’t have anything wrong with either car ! Tires for ect! Normal stuff! BMW Z3 ! Same thing

Bought my 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS new in 1996. Have not had any problems with it throughout it's history. Put 301,000+ on the original 3.0L engine, replaced it with rebuilt 3.0L and still running well. Drove 260 miles highway a few weeks ago and got 37.3 MPG. It is FAST - had the original 3.0L up to 158 MPH. Five speed transmission has had no problems (replaced clutch when installed new engine). Replaced top after about 300,000 miles, only problem has been with drivers side door handle (had to replace it twice). Handles very good. Love my Spidey!!!

This car has all the pizzaz anyone can ask for regarding beauty, style,performance and handling. It's proven to handle most any sports car out there and the price was right also for a sports car. I loved it.

I kinda feel in love with the GT 3.0 model when I seen how cool vin Diesel looked zooming around if the fast and the furious I love almost everything about this cat,starting with how it fits like a glove, and envelopes my body when I opening the door and getting in . There could be a slight headroom issue if you're 6' or taller That's easily overlooked because once seated adjusted and buckled it feels almost perfect.The satisfaction continues when I start the 3.0 liter naturally aspirated v6 engine and heat it's throaty growl. It accelerates nicely ,but leaves you wanting just a bit more .handled superbly on the freeway and in traffic.I can handled some hairpin turns at 50+ mph where lots of other comparable cars have to slow down to 25-30 mph . ( however I don't recommend that you do that .I tend to push performance cars to their absolute limits .the car is moderately easy mechanically speaking to work on .The engines oxygen sensors are a pain in the neck and can really throw a lot of other stuff crucial to high performance for a loop if I don't stay after it. Seems like it's quite a bit more difficult to satisfy the service engine soon light after the odometer goes pass 130,000 or so .the one big bright red flag with these cars would be the timing belt and how the motor is pretty much toast if I breaks while driving .Any driver buying this model should immediately replace the timing belt upon purchasing if the odometer has 80 thousand or more.

Very fast, very fun, bought mine used at 150k mi's and never broke down on me I just kept up regular maintenance. Mine's almost at 240k now and running like a champ. I'd say as reliable as other Japanese cars and my Toyota. It's easy to forget the speed limit. stick shifts are the best for this type of car. don't know why anyone would get an automatic. Great car all around.

Excellent car and fun for all ages! Reliable, expertly designed and engineered. Japanese collectible. Good for all uses, even has front wheel drive! You can drive this car in the snow and it is incredibly safe and stable. You can control the power in this car to conserve fuel by switch button and similar mechanisms within the vehicle for other options. It was very "high tech" for 1997. It is a shame that Mitsubishi stopped production in 1999, which it has been posted many times that they later regretted. It was a very popular car and now, sought after by collectors everywhere.

Bought it new in 2000, now has 180,000 plus miles. Changed oil every 3,000 miles. Had a wheel stud break off for a scary shudder and replaced the thermostat which is normal in Minnesota. Went through three sets of 60,000 mile tires. Need to replace the anti-sway linkages now and the tie rods too. Normal maintenance for a high mileage vehicle. Only complaints: 1) would have liked an inch or two more leg room for the driver and; 2) the turning radius is too long.
