I just had my 2009 Subaru Forester finally give out on me and I loved that car so much. It was very reliable and comfortable but I got a 2008 SL Maxima with only $159,000 miles on it for $3,500 out the door and I absolutely love it. I had a 2000 SE Maxima years ago and loved it but I wrecked it and totaled it and they said it was a salvaged title it never had any issues tho prior to my carelessness. So now having my second one I can say this is most definitely my favorite car. It’s like the perfect mixture of sporty and classy. Big enough for a family and small enough for one to drive and not feel like it’s too much. I love having a V6 engine over a 4 cylinder too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I've owned one of these for just over a year and put about 10,000km on it (225,000 to 235,000). The good: -Performance is amazing and the car has plenty of pep. -Handling is phenomenal and it feels lighter than it is. You can really toss this thing around without issue. -Interior looks sharp, although mine is beginning to wear a little; still, good condition for the year. -Very minimal rust especially given the age and mileage. -Interesting and unique exterior design (it doesn't really look like anything else on the road). -Amazing visibility thanks to large windows, minimal tint, and a low "belt line." -Good steering feel; I always felt like I knew what was going on. The bad: -The 6-speed manual has slightly jerky shifts and is geared very low. Nissan recommends shifting into 6th gear at only 80km/h so highway driving it done at a high RPM. -The clutch has a long, stiff travel and an abrupt bite-point right in the middle. You have to move your left foot up two inches, carefully ease the next inch, and then up the rest of the way. I got used to it, but it's a challenging manual compared to most. -Side mirrors are weirdly small; I had to rely on the windshield-mounted mirror a lot more than on other cars (thankfully rear-visibility is exceptional). Summary: An excellent drivers car. I found it very engaging and driving it was always a blast. Sad to have to let it go, but mine was not well taken car of by previous owners and has too many small (often cosmetic) issues to be worth completely repairing.

I’m a new driver, and my dads friend gave us his 08 maxima to me for my first car. It needed some repairs, and once it was repaired, I never thought any other car was better. Straight away I knew how reliable this car was, after about a year of driving the car after the repairs, we had zero issues with anything which is absolutely insane. The amount of love I have towards the maxima is unreal, it’s super powerful, nice interior, great features, and the fact that it looks like a race car from the back with the way the lights are, and the quad exhaust pipe make this car a perfect fit for anyone looking for a sport car without the sport car title and pricing.

Hey guys I just bought this car in 2022 November and now we in May 2023 I can say I was lucky to have one for 1500 on 86000km on dash and I’m happy. The car has had a few maintenance do it as it came in with spark plug issues and such and all I can say is in this Canadian weather bearing how old she is, she’s done it ! And now we in summer and I can’t get enough she’s my first car as I’m in college my last year. Hoping to keep her afee months then sell her off she’s amazing !!! I’m surprised how she still runs 20yrs after and yea she’s fast asf !!! 275hp or something like that!

It's been an overall reliable car; the engine is strong after 230,000 miles and doesn't leak oil. The vehicle has the power to intercept other cars on the freeway easily and defensive drives quickly through yellow traffic light intersections. Be prepared to replace minor things like the alternator, starter, belts, and the most major thing was replacing a pressure return hose from the steering wheel pump. I bought a new steering wheel pump and a pressure return hose. Once that hose leaks steering wheel fluid, the car is out of order, even junk yard worthy. It was a major problem finding the right hose to fit because the manufacturing was off on four of the hoses I bought. My mechanic frustrated not being able to install them, finally had to get someone to cut the steel nipple off at the circle end of the pressure return hose in order to install it. You better remember this, because when that pressure hose goes out, the whole care is usless.

I was always a fan of the 5th generation especially the 02/03 models I had a 2000 many years ago and it was great I just got a 2002 se about a month ago with only 128k miles!!!! That’s low considering it’s almost 23 years old it still rides fantastic and the power is very impressive even by todays standards gas mileage is decent it has aged just a bit but still modern enough to not feel super old I definitely recommend this car if you can find one in good shape

The dealer was very honest about the vehicle. So we did brought Audi Q5 without warranty but AS IS. I really hope the vehicle last is a long time.

The window regulator had to be replaced 3 times is anyone else having this problem? I noticed the rocker panel rusted. But it's great highway driving!

This dealership is the greatest in the metro Detroit MI and around the Toledo OH areas. I emailed thirty dealerships to negotiate on a 2025 Hybrid Toyota Camry. This dealership was the only one that would negotiate with me. It was also the nicest dealership. I negotiated with them on 1/27/25. That is a time period when dealerships should negotiate. Dealerships make bonuses based on monthly quotas, incentives, etc. Sales people are normally only commission pay in the car sales business. If they don't rnake there quota they need to pay back the dealership for a pro ration of there quota shortage. Please learn about commission only payment for employees. I emailed thirty dealerships to negotiate pricing on the camry. This dealership answered my many questions. They didn't push me to come into there dealership. They respected my request to communicate via only by email (until I was ready to make a phone call to the dealership). They still do not phone me after I phoned them and honored my communicate by just email. I didn't agree with a charge dealerships gives to customers. This dealership was the only one negotiable on that charge. When I received my new vehicle the tank was filled up with gas. It was also very clean. They also threw in some options with my negotiated price. Don't waste much time calling other dealerships. This dealership is the only one that will give you respect. This dealership is the only one that will be negotiable. The other dealerships did not even want to give me $1.00 off the price. Also, the dealership will give you the out the door price. The dealership will not do the usual games of pushing you for "what do you want for a monthly payment". Also, I wasn't lied to by this dealership. I caught at least one lie from one person at every other dealership. Normally, if i were talking to more than one person it would be at least one lie per person per dealership. I also shopped at dealerships for a used vehicle this past summer. i followed the same procedures. all of the same things happened to me this past summer. it is very sad and sick. sadly, in the summer time page toyota didn't have my sought after vehicle. after my experience in the summertime i was exhausted from the horrible experiences. i have to shop so that is why i'm back shopping for a vehicle. I've loved these cats since they debuted in late 2003. I finally found a used 04, granted high mileage (215000). It now has been 3 years, now 285000 and with regular maintenance, original engine and transmission, it's never failed me. It looks like thr day it rolled off the production line, and if financially feasible, if the engine or trans does fail, I'll replace it and keep driving Mr.Max. love this car.

I've had my nissan maxima ls for 18 years. Sure I've had to replace and repair under the hood but that comes from the 184000 miles I've driven it.

just inherited this car with 39,000 miles on it in excellent shape as it has always been garage kept and had regular maintenance. My original plan was to just sell it rather than to have an extra car. Now I think I will sell a different car and keep this one as my day to day driver. I have found it to be very comfortable to drive and at the rate I drive (12,000 miles a year) I think I can keep this one for 5 or 6 more years. The only thing I miss is a back up camera that I have in my newer vehicle.

This is a good car to have decent leg room in the back and good leg room up front it’s got comfy seats so you don’t feel uncomfortable so better for road trips over all nice car

This has been a solid and reliable car for 20 years! If Nissan offered a Maxima today with a regular automatic transmission I would eagerly purchase one, but not with a CVT. I only drive 3400 miles per year but I have experienced problems that you would expect on a much higher mileage car. Two oxygen sensors failed at 28000 miles; the radiator cracked at 33000 miles; the passenger side front strut failed at 37000 miles; there is currently an oil leak the dealer can't locate; and the radiator lower support has been rusted out since about 2004. Despite the continuing maintenance issues I still love this car and its styling and performance.

We did a test drive, found financing, and signed paperwork. long story short we left with the car my wife has been dreaming of. I bought a 02 maxima se with 215,000 miles on it. whoever had it before me did not take very good care of it but I rebuilt the whole engine and is as smooth and good running as a brand new car. Love that thing, great power when you need it and gets fairly good gas milage if you don't hotrod it around all the time.

Bought a 2005 Lincoln Navigator, 145k miles. It's in excellent shape, no issues since I've purchased it. I think they're an honest dealership. I would use them again if I needed another used vehicle.

If I'm being honest, the 2003 was really the last great year for Maximas. Their quality and reliability in the years that followed just were not the same. I owned a 1994 Maxima SE and put on 236,000 miles before 2nd gear in my auto started slipping. That was the only major problem I had with the car. So, I got it rebuilt and put on another 100,000 miles before selling it and buying a 1998 Infiniti i30 which is basically the same as the 1998 Maxima GLE. I put 250,000 on that before looking to get a replacement. I tried finding a Maxima/i30/i35 in the 2000-2003 year range, but had no luck. I finally opted to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Elantra with 12k miles on it three years ago for which I got a great deal. I put 80,000 miles on it. With gas prices in the $4.35 range, I'm glad I opted to get something with better gas mileage (which I made to be just as quick as my old 1998 i30). If you happen to find a 2003 Max or one in the 2000-2002 year range that's in good shape, BUY IT and never look back.

345,000 miles and running strong. Original owner since Feb 2005. Only thing I don't like is the wide turning circle! Change oil every 3000 it will last a long time.

I read the reviews, considered all the good and the bad and still took a chance. Found a local person familiar with the type of car for a PPI. They di fix the AC on their dime. The car did have a minor accident on the drivers passenger door, not reported on the Experian report. This was not a deal breaker for me. I chose to fly out of state to make sure I got the title in my hand. Everyone was pleasant to work with from the moment I contacted them. I took one star off only because I arrived around 10:30am and wasn't able to leave till 4pm. I drove the car 500+ miles home without any problems.

This car still drives really well. It shows its age , but, it has aged well. I’ve done the required maintenance since day one. I just installed a new alternator and battery.

Has all the bells and whistles a car could have. Love the built in garage door openers. Handsfree talking, and Bose sound system. Kept very clean, love the leather seats. Heated seats and steering wheel always nice. Not been in an accident. Regular oil changes and maintenance. V6 engine has the get up and go.
