2026 Nissan Pathfinder review
Too new to call it reliable. But comparing to the Honda, with its normally aspirated V6, we went with the Nissan. Honda is still putting VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) on their NA engines and I didn't want all that stuff with its history of issues. The Nissan is very, VERY comfortable. Stylish to our taste and very functional use of space. Great deals are available. We wanted dual power seats and surround view, so the only way to go was the Platinum edition. It makes decent power as a front-wheel drive system first. It's not winning any races, but it definitely gets out of its own way. We didn't buy it for future resale value because we intend to keep it. I hope Nissan keeps selling these NA V6's and avoids the hybrid only or turbo trap that everyone else seems to get hung up on. It loses a little for not having foglamps on their top trim and having to go to the top trim for a second power seat. You would do well to keep this one on your list if you NEED 3 row or just want a well sized and priced two row SUV with options. There's enough tech to keep you happy and reliable engine platform. The transmission is a ZF based design and we expect that with maintenance it is going to go for a long time. The only "bad thing" about this experience was that we had to leave our state to get a reasonable deal. At least we got a good road trip out of the purchase.

I recently purchased a Nissan Juke from Mossy Nissan Escondido. They were super patient and gave us a good price without any effort, as well as a fair trade in value. I enjoyed dealing with the sales manager Jason, he was very up front about everything and doesn't play games. He's also very honest and says it like it is, we enjoyed his humor through the process. The sales people are very friendly and eager to help even when another dealer will be getting the commision. Our original sales person, Ramez Deeb, has greeted us every time I've seen him and helped us any way he could every single time. I pre-ordered a second car from Nissan, and George Barouta at Mossy Escondido went above and beyond showing me the cars, taking measurements, and helping any way he could. He put no pressure on me and was super easy to deal with. Mossy Escondido was the best experience I've had at a dealership ever! Unfortunately Nissan (Not Mossy) took forever to send my car and when I ended up selling my current car, I had to go to another dealership (since I could no longer wait for the car with trim I wanted). It was then I realized how different the experience can be and just how good Mossy Nissan Escondido is. The other dealer promised the world and then tried to rip me off, I had to walk out the door with my cash offer before they ran out and eventually got close enough that I didn't drive away without a car, and then only because I had checked every other dealer around 3 counties and knew this was the only one with my car. I've only had one service so far with Mossy Escondido and it was great, supper fast service by appointment, they washed the car and detailed the tires for free with the great priced service.

After shopping 7 Nissan dealerships, I was exhausted by changing numbers, high-pressure tactics, and dealers requiring financing and warranties just to honor a price. Mossy Nissan Poway was the complete opposite. A huge thank you to Sophia, who won me over with her empathy, honesty, and genuine client-first approach in what can often feel like a man's world. Gael was an outstanding salesman and even spent time playing Hangman with my daughters along with the manager Jayson making what could have been a long day one they'll actually remember fondly. Thank you to Tim, the finance manager, for finding great financing and taking the time to customize a warranty that fit my needs instead of trying to sell me something I didn't want. And a special thank you to Jayson for going above and beyond to earn my business. He gave me one of the most competitive deals and repeatedly reminded me that if the numbers didn't work for me, I was free to walk away. That's the least pressure I've ever felt buying a vehicle, and it's something every consumer should remember—you can always walk away. The biggest surprise? My 8-year-old and 12-year-old daughters spent nearly five hours at the dealership with no kids' area and both left saying it was "the best time ever." That says everything about the hospitality and atmosphere the team created. We drove home in our brand-new 2026 Pathfinder SL feeling excited instead of exhausted. And with the amazing competitive deals made I for the first time ever woke up with 0 buyers remorse anxiety! One final note: after I purchased my vehicle, Mossy Nissan El Cajon called to say they could beat the deal by another $500—after previously requiring financing and expensive warranty purchases to get their pricing. By then, my decision had already been made. Price matters, but honesty, consistency, and how you're treated matter even more. Thank you, Mossy Nissan Poway, for earning our business. I have a crazy story but it has a great ending. Everyone from my salesman Ethan to my service guy Lance, I had an overall great experience. So I had been searching for 8 months for the unicorn of a car. I had very explicit expectations in order for me to walk into a car dealership.....God knows going into a car dealership is the LAST thing anyone wants to do. So when I found that needle in a haystack I walked into my salesman Ethan. This boy was the kindest most transparent salesman ive ever met.( hes gonna go far). He made my final decision very easy. The negotiation with price with Vince, the sales manager was not typical. Although money was discussed, which is very uncomfortable for me, my team was very helpful and transparent. Their energy helped me feel at ease for the first time in buying a car. And that was just the beginning, a week and a half later my check engine light came on and Ethan said bring it here so we can check it out as soon as possible. So upon leaving my new vehicle they discovered it needed something in the transmission, so a big deal....And in comes My service guy Lance. Lance was very patient and a great communicator. But there's a problem.....they couldn't get the part they needed in a fast enough manner. Because I would not have had the car in the near future, the whole team came together and figured out how to get me into a comparable car that day....it could have been a huge problem but the team i got at Temecula Nissan was outstanding. I will definitely come back and recommend this car dealership to anyone that asks for advice. Thanks guys I had a wonderful experience... Stacy

2026 Nissan Pathfinder review
Tried to like other SUV's with smaller engines but I could not get past the lack of power. Hybrids are out of the question for me. It would be great if you could disable the the engine governor instead of pushing the button to turn it off every time we start the car. For the price and the size it is perfect for our needs. Lay the seats down and haul stuff or fill up the car with children. Very versatile. Price was reasonable compared to other third row SUV's. I can see us taking trips in this one.
