This car lives up to its reputation...fun ! I can't believe car collector's heve yet to jump on this..but they will !! I bought mine used in 2020 w/25k miles on it. I plan to keep it in the family long after I fly up ! Lol My two son's promised to keep it and protect it on our 3rd generation family compond. This is headed to be a collector's dream. I got my solstice for only $5000 with 36000 original miles on it. Checked car fax and it had oil change less than every 1000 miles by one owner and was barely driven by most owners. I’m the 6 th owner. This car is prestine. I could sell it amd make $8000. But I love it too much to do that. It looks more expensive than it was. It handles and goes around corners like no other. I don’t think it’s possible to roll this car. I do not have a turbo in it, I would just get in trouble. 170 hp 5 speed manual id fine for me. The miles will stay low because I live in tahoe and it’s got to be stored for the winter months. This car turns heads. Downside, if I have a passenger, there’s absolutely no room for anything. It’s not a car I would take on a long road trip unless you were alone. I drive it nice so far just because it’s in such excellent shape. The weight capacity on it is under 400 lbs. so if you’re a big person with a big spouse, the car wouldn’t be practical. I’m 110 lbs and my boyfriend is 200 lbs and that’s about the max load... especially if he has groceries piled on him. Definitely not built for a wider person. If you’re tall the car does have ample leg room and height with the top up. I call it my fun weekend car. That’s what it’s for, for a nice drive on Sunday or to go out and have a showy car on a Friday and Saturday night, maybe a solo shopping trip too. It’s definitely a fiat weather car with the rear wheel drive as well.

2002 was the end of the line for performance cars at Pontiac. The Firebird and Trans Am were iconic muscle cars that helped define the genre. I was lucky in finding 1 of 2000 Collector Edition models with super low miles. The car runs strong, handles well, and still looks great 19 years later. The interior is dated but nobody buys a Trans Am for the interior. It is still fast and fun to drive. Getting a 4th generation Firebird is more economical then buying a project and restoring/modifying it to meet modern standards. This car is for serious drivers to are tired of the current run of the mill cookie-cutter tin can cars today, and it is half the price of current muscle car remnants, it can still keep up with most of them too!

I just bought a 2020 Ford Transit from Trust Auto in Maryland, thanks to Vlad, it went well despite the fact that I live in Florida. I've always been a Pontiac conisur. In '77 I got a 69. Absolutely amazing. In 2003 I got a 91. Now I have a '95 and it is tops. Named her SAM for Surface to Air Missle. Yes I am retired Army. I was recently at classic cars of Sarasota and found the receptionist very friendly as well as the manager. There are many interesting cars in various price ranges. Most were in good to excellent condition. It was a very positive experience.

I have driven two firebirds, a 3800 v6 and a LT1 v8, both cars were great. The only complaints are in the interior, being an older car the plastic doesn’t hold up well. The 3800 v6 is the best engine ever made for a daily driver, absolutely reliable and almost impossible to blow up. I do some hard driving in my completely stock v6 and it has lasted extremely well. The v6 also has plenty of power, I even beat a friend in a v8 challenger in a drag race once, though he was not a very good driver.

My 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP currently is a reliable little sports car with lots of kick in terms of performance, especially considering it’s amazing turbo charger. 260 hp isn’t to bad either. Styling is ever eye catching with its 18 inch tires. It sits low outwardly as well as inwardly as a sports car should. Maintaining its regular maintenance and fluids will provide consistent quality performance. It's fast when you need it to be. The ride is comfortable, and steering is excellent for where you pint it, it will go there with no push back or fuss. Gas relies on premium which is acceptable for quality performance, but there is the base model which takes regular gas if your wallet seeks relief. Its colors are limited, but I suggest a car wrap for uniqueness individuality. Overall, the Solstice is a fun responsive sports car that you can find within your budget and after purchasing it, you can get reasonable affordable auto insurance coverage, especially if your are a Boomer with no tickets or accidents. These cars are approaching rare for you don’t see many on the roads and highways these days. Drop the top on a relatively good weather day and all eyes will be on you!!! MVB

Only required regular maintenance. Never broke down. Drove from 20k miles to 190k miles. Took long trips in it. Very smooth on road. Has power and excellent steering. Hold the road. the vehicle is hard to drive in snow and rain. It sits very low to ground so must be careful.

My 2009 GXP is a delight. Goes like stink, handles like a cat on carpet, stops like glue and (if I keep my toes out of the fan) averages 32 mpg. Bought new in Denver, I now have over 146K miles on it. Replaced cracked turbo at 124K. With top down, my luggage is a shaving kit. Installed Hidden Hitch for Tag-Along trailer to carry a spare on road trips. Towing trailer at 85, mileage drops to 28. Keeping it till I expire.

I am the 4th owner of a low mileage Collectors Edition Trans Am. As the end of the production line this car is as modern as the 4th Gen F bodies are and had the best handling and performance package this side of a Corvette. The best part of the car is the community and amount of upgrades you can get for it. The hardest part is deciding how far I want to tune and push the car or keep as original as possible for historical sake. It drives great and responds better then the current bland and cookie cutter coupes available today.

I owe Tapp Motors (Jr and Sr) a wholehearted apology for what I wrote last night. Seems like we all had challenging days yesterday and our lines of communications were BROKEN. You know, I’ve always given advice about email like this: Write what you want, but NEVER, EVER send an emotional email... I broke my own rule. Also, if you have a problem and misunderstanding then pick up the phone, walk over and have a friendly conversation to clear the air. So, that’s what I did earlier today after not sleeping much last night. I called both gents and explained my feelings and why I abruptly left the lot yesterday. They were very gracious and we all apologized for poor communication. I felt better, they felt better and everyone is smiling and laughing... Life is GOOD! After such a misunderstanding and we’re able to “shake hands” and part friends says A LOT about the Character of the Tapp Family. It’s not often a rather bad communication can be settled and without hard feelings. It’s ALL about the more often and not practiced “Golden Rule”.... Sadly we’re often too busy to stop and smell the roses and more importantly LISTEN. God gave us two ears to one mouth. Gentlemen and The Family of Tapp Motors.... Great car for investment potential! With the LT-1 Corvette engine there's plenty of dependable power to last for years to come, garage kept so most parts haven't been exposed to the weather for long periods of time, and a really fun car to drive.

I purchased a Pontiac Solstice from Low Country Auto Sales. I had been looking for weeks and finally found one there. I worked with John Garbini. He made the transaction easy, it is a very good car. Low mileage, clean. Just what I wanted at a fair price. I highly recommend them

I bought 07 in 2013 for $9K. I’m 6’2” and don’t have any problems getting and out except with a hat on and cowboy boots. It’s an automatic transmission. I had racing stripes painted on it because they all look the same. I’ve often thought I’d wished I’d bought the GXP with the std shift with turbo but I think my left leg would hit the steering wheel shifting. Mine has 110K miles on it. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, it sticks to the road at any speed and holds curves so well that no other car can. The cons are they the interior is all hard plastics, so for a long trip you’ll feel every crevice and wish for a softer interior. The cup holder for the driver on the transmission mound when alone is crap and will jam and not close, don’t use it, it will fail. Mechanically the automatic transmission has a sealed transmission and should have had a recall, because within 50K miles it shifts real hard on the downshift. Have a trusted mechanic check the transmission fluid level, even though there isn’t a stick the mechanic can add fluid. I spent over a grand paying for an ECM replaced that controls the transmission and later found out it was only low fluid. You’ll get all kinds of advice and most will be wrong. I’m having a new top put in it, the only thing that shows it’s wear. Overall, it’s been a very dependable car, like all cars needs regular maintenance but so so much fun to drive.
