My 2008 G8GT has 185K on it and it still drives and handles like a new car. I have changed the brakes to slotted and change the oil myself every 3-4k miles. Front seats are not that comfortable for long trips and is my only minor complaint. I will keep the car as long as I can because there is nothing like the power being offered in a four door by an American Car Company.

This car is fun to drive with a good field of vision for changing lanes. It is easy to maneuver through traffic with just the right power.It has a sporty look but good gas mileage, good price and not high insurance cost. We maintained the car with the ideal to get classic plates. You could get 75000 mile out of this car.

i recently bought a ford flex from curbside motors i drove all the way from Spokane Wa and they treated my sister and myself like friends , family , business was with laughter smiles and kindness treat us well the car runs great and we made it home safely due to them going thru and making sure we would be safe car runs great and i’m very thankful , so thank you curbside family !!

Bought this car at a junk auction. It was in poor shape but I knew that going into it. It was a jewel of a find 06 gtp. It's my fun summer's only, occasional driver. I gutted all the seats and replaced them with leather as well as fixed the interior. Car had lots of mechanical issues as well but the engine was and still is strong. Its a fun car to buy and take under your wing as a collectors, project car. Lots of cheap parts in the junk yards now. I would not recommend this car for a daily driver unless you plan on spending a lot of money fixing stuff. The cars are old.

This car is great, its comfortable, fast, and the V8 Can get up and go. However, compared to more modern cars, the Poniac 2006 GXP V8 shows its age, My car cant accelerate as quickly as more modern cars. But its still a solid car. The most major issue with the GXP is the tires and suspension. This car is apparantly designed to drive on Perfectly Smooth roads. Which is great if you live in a Gated Community somehwere houses are $500,000 each and everybody is perfectly blonde. However, I prefer more 'All-Terrain' vehicles compared to 'high-preformance but extremely delicate.' I'll compare the 2 cars I've owned: Jeep 1996 Grand Cherokoo Laredo Extremely Tough, can go anywhere, I can drive over curbs easily. Poniac 2006 Is more like Princess and the Pea. If I hit a Gravel Rock, the whole car will feel it. The Jeep, can go anywhere on Earth basically. The Poniac, Hit a Curb? Need a New Rim, the whole cars missaligned and tires need rebalanced, and now the Tires going flat. Hit a pothole in the Jeep, no problem, keep driving. In the Poniac, Now everything needs re-alligned, rim is damaged, etc. Just as an example. ^ The Poniac is reliable, its just extremely sensitive and needs perfect roads. The Jeep is all-terrain, durable, and strong. I'd drive my Jeep anyday if I could. Considered I got my Jeep for $5k, then put $5k in upgrades/repairs, Id get it again anyday. The Poniac was $32k new, and is just extremely sensative.

This car is the best Pontiac ever so much fun.in Canada there is none on the road last time I saw 👀 one it was last year.

I love the way the car looks and the leather seats are very comfortable. The 3.5 liter V6 offers great performance for cheep. After just a few months of owning it however my rims started corroding and they need to be replaced and my strut mounts constantly squeak. This doesn't mean the car isn't reliable per say but it is a significant added expense. I don't have any regrets buying the car because of all the things I love about it but if you buy a 10 year old car like the Pontiac G6 be prepared for quite a few annoying repairs.

Purchased new September of 2009 now has 162K miles and i will never sell this car it has and is perfect. Best car I have ever owned and my first car was bought in 1967. Just a little info., the air condition system has never been serviced and you could hang meat in it on 100 degree day. It's on it's second battery does not use any oil between services. Original water pump. Not a tick under hood and as of two months ago will still do 164mph. No mods what so ever. And for looks minds Red w/two tone red/black interior simply beautiful

I bought a 2003 Grand Am SE1 with the 3400 V6 brand new. I was actually wanting a Grand Prix, but Pontiac changed the body style that year. So I settled for the Grand Am. I love how there's more torque than horsepower. Makes for a surprisingly snappy throttle response out of an economy car. Make no mistake about it though...it's not a sports car! It was widely used by rental agencies. Quite comfortable interior once the seat(s) are broken in some. And one thing I truly loved about it was the red instrument lighting. So much easier on my eyes than the typical white/green interior lighting. Beware there were two recalls on Grand Ams. One for the intake manifold gaskets giving way around the 60k mile mark. And also a recall for the ignition switch. Take care of those if you haven't!!! Downside was the window regulators. Had to replace a couple of them, a couple times. I replaced the thermostat to a cooler 180° thermostat also. Grand Ams seem to run on the hotter side. Same with Grand Prix's from the same era. There isn't much of an aftermarket for them. Milzy Motorsports would be your best bet for that. They have plenty of custom made parts for GM V6's.

I bought this car used in 2012. Over 10yrs later and 214k miles she still rolling. I did have to replace power steering sensor last year and unfortunately it has to be reprogrammed in shop or would of saved chuck of money. My evap solenoid is giving me trouble but my heat my AC my radio my windows all work and I would buy a brand new one if I good. Lots of replaced headlamp bulbs over the years but once rewired it made much better

(owner of three 06/07 g6 GT/GTPs convertibles) Wonderful, sporty look. Design is great with minimal flaws such as cover that opens when top comes down malfunctioning or air vents coming out. Seats look great but sit in this car longer then two hours you'll wish you weren't. Every car I've seen has a rip in driver seat, you'll know what I mean if you own one most likely. Engine and transmission are strong and reliable with little maintenance needed. Things like CV joints, ball joints, sway bars, etc you'll need to replace often along with many electrical details and oil/tranny leaks. All around amazing, going on five years with my first one from 132k miles to 203k miles it runs just as it did the day I bought it.

If you have kids but still want to take pride in your ride, the G8 GT is a great choice. Mine is over 10 years old and still turns heads and is just a blast to drive. But even more important, it has a massive trunk and rear seat so I was able to fit three car seats across the back and pack the trunk full for a full vacation. The best part is that this car has never left me stranded anywhere, after putting 100,000 miles on it.

I cannot recommend Eddie Aguilar at California Motors Direct enough! If you want a salesperson who is terrifically professional and truly on your side, this is the guy. We drove through two counties and fought a ton of traffic to make this deal happen, and Eddie was more than patient with our schedule. What really blew us away was that he and his manager stayed late just to ensure we left that night with the car we deserved. It felt like "NO" wasn't even in his work vocabulary—he ground out the details and made the numbers work perfectly for both the lender and me. The BMW i4 is running beautifully, and you weren't lying when you said I paid below market price! Bought my G6 GT Coupe last summer with 162K miles on it. Now up to 178K this month and man...does she still run exactly the same as she did at 162K, great drive-train. Beyond that, isn't it just whipped cream on top? ;-) I use my G6 for gig work (UberEATs, etc) and while it's had some needed repairs (particularly with the suspension and the steering, the weakest part of the car imo), it's the drivetrain has continued to impress and push through all the suspension drama (like a control arm simply tearing in half from 16 years of corrosion in Midwestern winters). Performance-wise, it's really a sleeper vehicle, for sure. I rarely push the engine above 4000 rpms, but when I do, I can be confident that I can push the car through any traffic situations around me. It's not going to win any drag races, but it's more than capable in your everyday driving scenarios (and flat-out excellent in rainy conditions, with the right tires). I would say the handling has been the most disappointing element of the car, even with the '07 models mostly now having hydraulic steering (vs the crappy electric steering that was relegated to the cheapest models by '07). The turning radius feels quite big for a car that isn't too huge like the G6...feels like I'm still trying to park my first car, an old-style '90 Mercury Grand Marquis, which had 2 full feet of length more than my G6. That said, these issues largely disappear on the road, and the car is very "compliant" on the highway. In conclusion, it's a real tragedy that Pontiac is no more: I think the G6/G8 line was a fantastic offering by 2007/2008, the brand simply ran out of time thanks to GM mismanagement. The final Pontiacs weren't always the best lookers (looking at you, Aztec), but were certainly solid, reliable cars. I can't imagine buying another American car after this one, not unless Pontiac is resurrected again. Thanks to my highly-effective G6, the brand would more than deserve that.
