My 2008 G8GT has 185K on it and it still drives and handles like a new car. I have changed the brakes to slotted and change the oil myself every 3-4k miles. Front seats are not that comfortable for long trips and is my only minor complaint. I will keep the car as long as I can because there is nothing like the power being offered in a four door by an American Car Company.

Bought this car at a junk auction. It was in poor shape but I knew that going into it. It was a jewel of a find 06 gtp. It's my fun summer's only, occasional driver. I gutted all the seats and replaced them with leather as well as fixed the interior. Car had lots of mechanical issues as well but the engine was and still is strong. Its a fun car to buy and take under your wing as a collectors, project car. Lots of cheap parts in the junk yards now. I would not recommend this car for a daily driver unless you plan on spending a lot of money fixing stuff. The cars are old.

Sean was very helpful. I contacted them about a car before I went there. Sean test drove the car and shot a personal video for me to see the car. He was friendly in person and helped with the test drive. I ended up not buying the car, but Sean was still friendly as we parted. Good selection of quality cars. I’m a bragging past owner of a 2006 G6 Gypsy sedan. First owner up to around 37,000 miles. Great experience & performance! Only issue that aggravated me was the key release from the ignition “ which was repeatedly repaired & never solved?” My model was the rare 6 speed manual “ yes in a sedan!!!!” The manual had to be in a certain precise position to trigger the ignition key release. I joked with GM service department that apparently the car wanted to keep driving?! The only other service I can remember was the leather seat cover replaced because the color wore away. & a suspension part up front. Everything covered by factory no arguments. I’m extremely serious that this is one General Motors hidden past gems!!!! “ keep in mind I am NOT talking base entry level model here.” Everyone knows about the G8 the solstice which is understandably justified! However these G6 GTP & GXP are the best investment for the budget minded to get performance in a competitive fun driving sedan with luggage & storage space!” Unless you’re smart enough to purchase the HARDTOP metal roof convertible!” Do your self & your wallet a favor & don’t ignore the vehicle when looking!

I have now purchased two vehicles from Rich’s Car Corner. I recently purchased a work truck and Dante, my salesman took really good care of me. He Answered all my questions and had great communication. The original vehicle which I bought many years ago, was sold to a friend and he’s still driving it, and it has 200,000 miles on it now. I bought this car used in 2012. Over 10yrs later and 214k miles she still rolling. I did have to replace power steering sensor last year and unfortunately it has to be reprogrammed in shop or would of saved chuck of money. My evap solenoid is giving me trouble but my heat my AC my radio my windows all work and I would buy a brand new one if I good. Lots of replaced headlamp bulbs over the years but once rewired it made much better

I recently bought a Ram pickup at Frankman and two days later had an issue arise . You always wonder how you be treated in such a situation. Well , it was a great experience, they took care of the problem and did it in the friendliest of manner. I will definitely be back and would recommend Frankman for buying a vehicle. bought used with 128xxx. 6 years later still wouldn't sell. I have yet to get into a situation that I wasn't able to maneuver it out of easily. taken it through spots that trucks couldn't (driver experience and ability). for the last year it has served as one of the best work trucks I've ever been around. I know on more than a few times that it was definitely overloaded I'm talking about the rear fender being about 1/2 Inch from the tire, and she hasn't disappointed me yet or let me down. only reason why I didn't give 5 stars all the way across the board, is that horrible evil things called governors at 108mph. it's now over 21 years old and 180xxxish miles. only thing I have upgraded is the air intake and filter. (BEFORE) if you floor in from a dead stop it would shift into 2ND gear at 45MPH (AFTER) 50MPH. (BEFORE) from 2nd to 3rd a 90MPH, (AFTER) AROUND 100MPH

We have a 2008 G6 Sedan. It was our family car, then my daily work car, now my daughter drives it to work. 257,000 miles on it and still going strong. Regular oil changes and routine maintenance. GREAT car!

Best car I ever owned. GM hit the ball out of the park! So many standard features, durable cast iron engine that runs and run and runs.

This car is great, its comfortable, fast, and the V8 Can get up and go. However, compared to more modern cars, the Poniac 2006 GXP V8 shows its age, My car cant accelerate as quickly as more modern cars. But its still a solid car. The most major issue with the GXP is the tires and suspension. This car is apparantly designed to drive on Perfectly Smooth roads. Which is great if you live in a Gated Community somehwere houses are $500,000 each and everybody is perfectly blonde. However, I prefer more 'All-Terrain' vehicles compared to 'high-preformance but extremely delicate.' I'll compare the 2 cars I've owned: Jeep 1996 Grand Cherokoo Laredo Extremely Tough, can go anywhere, I can drive over curbs easily. Poniac 2006 Is more like Princess and the Pea. If I hit a Gravel Rock, the whole car will feel it. The Jeep, can go anywhere on Earth basically. The Poniac, Hit a Curb? Need a New Rim, the whole cars missaligned and tires need rebalanced, and now the Tires going flat. Hit a pothole in the Jeep, no problem, keep driving. In the Poniac, Now everything needs re-alligned, rim is damaged, etc. Just as an example. ^ The Poniac is reliable, its just extremely sensitive and needs perfect roads. The Jeep is all-terrain, durable, and strong. I'd drive my Jeep anyday if I could. Considered I got my Jeep for $5k, then put $5k in upgrades/repairs, Id get it again anyday. The Poniac was $32k new, and is just extremely sensative.

These Pontiacs with the 3.8 engine are solid as a rock and make a good used car Buy. I owned the Pontiac GT it's simply was a great trouble free car. And all of these Pontiacs are fun to drive.

My mom bought this car brand new in 2009 and I bought it from her in 2016, and finally now at 245k miles it finally needs a timing chain replacement and I'm making the decision to let it go. This car has taken me all over America multiple times over on 15k+ mile road trips. It has gone off road (not well but did it), zips up and down mountains, handled extreme cold (-40 F) and extreme heat (128 F) with no problems whatsoever. Even the transmission still runs like a dream, and i was really hoping to get a little more time from this car, but it's gotta go. Would absolutely buy another one if Pontiac was still around.

I inherited this car in 2013 with 115,000 miles on it. It has been in my life since it was brand new. I know it never once had a major repair. And still, seven years later, it is insanely mechanically reliable. We had a polar vortex where it was -20 degrees (-50 windchill) two years ago friends with newer cars had trouble getting them to start. This baby had no issue at all. I wish they still made Pontiacs. But my next car will definitely be in the GM family (Chevy, Cadillac, Buick) because this vehicle has wildly exceeded expectations. 18 years and still, not one major mechanical failure. And the paint is still so shiny, it looks new.

I purchased my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix in July 2008. At the time of the purchase it has 55,000 miles and today I have 346,000. The original motor and transmission is still in the car. I haven’t experienced any major mechanical issues.

(owner of three 06/07 g6 GT/GTPs convertibles) Wonderful, sporty look. Design is great with minimal flaws such as cover that opens when top comes down malfunctioning or air vents coming out. Seats look great but sit in this car longer then two hours you'll wish you weren't. Every car I've seen has a rip in driver seat, you'll know what I mean if you own one most likely. Engine and transmission are strong and reliable with little maintenance needed. Things like CV joints, ball joints, sway bars, etc you'll need to replace often along with many electrical details and oil/tranny leaks. All around amazing, going on five years with my first one from 132k miles to 203k miles it runs just as it did the day I bought it.

This car met all my needs. I was able to find a job, go back to school, and take care of all my other important stuff. I was able to take my family out in this vehicle several occasions. We loved driving this car my husband and I. I even took my older kids out to text drive in this vehicle we have a lot of good memories in this vehicle. My 07' Grand Prix GT still going strong in 2023 with 10100 miles on it (low for its age). The GT had the supercharged version of the 3.8., has every option other than OnStar, stealth gray exterior, 10 spoke wheels, all charcoal leather interior. Other than regular maintenance and the normal wear items it has only had a check engine light come on once in 16 years, codes revealed a TB circuit failure, and a 150.00 throttle pedal fixed the issue. Minor issues are soft trim parts are failing and no replacements are available to be had. GM should have killed the Buick instead of Pontiac, after all it brought more to the table than Buick did. To this day still gets the 18mpg the EPA suggested in 2007.

Purchased my 2009 Pontiac G6 V6 in 2012 with 39,000 miles on it and I still have it today. Very dependable even with over 250k miles on it. Never had to do anything major to it. It does need a tune up and minor repairs from wear and tear over the years. Overall, I love my Pontiac to say this was my first car I purchased on my own at the age of 19 and can say I still have it driving it daily. I wish they would still make Pontiac’s because it would make a great first car to those coming out of high school and need something reliable with low cost maintenance. I call my Pontiac “The Silver Bullet” due to it getting down the road with no problem.
