In 2016, I bought my 2017 Porsche Macan fully-loaded at Downtown L.A. Porsche. The sales experience – from test driving four different Porsche SUV and sports-car models, to the calm negotiations – was the most professional in 31 years of car-purchases. Yet, my 2019 customer service and car repair EXCEEDED this positive sales experience. The one throughline in these experiences is DTLA GM Victor Ghassemi. In short, my tires were defective and there was a battery issue. After I talked with a closer dealer who tried to upsell me roughly $3000 in repairs, I reached back to Downtown L.A. Porsche. Within 48 hours, Victor’s professional driver picked-up (and later delivered) my Macan for free. Victor took care of every issue with astonishing generosity. DTLA Porsche service representative Irwin delivered Victor’s directives with organization and timeliness. The whole experience once again made other car brands and service pale in comparison. Bought this baby used with just 4700 miles on it. Mine is the 6-speed manual version, 4.0L NA flat 6. I LOVE IT!!! This car is so much fun to drive. I work from home so don't have a daily commute, but it's a blast around town and on weekends. Not sure I'd love it as a daily, with a longer commute or in traffic - but that's not my situation - and we have 2 other cars in the family for daily commuting and road trips (Tesla 3 & Audi Q7). Get one as a 2nd or 3rd vehicle and it'll put a smile on your face every time!

Making update to my review below. Porsche Downtown LA contacted me directly and agreed to pay for all repairs and make the situation right. They were very apologetic about the entire situation and are willing to go above and beyond to make things better than right. I appreciate their response.

Didn’t end up needing them but they were very proactive in answering my call and questions. Good follow up work.

Like the Color combination and constantly get compliments on it. Traded a base model 2018 Cayman 718 which was very fine car but this car is just that much better; I wish I could have kept both. PDK with paddle shift and console shift makes me wonder how I even drove a car with clutch peddle. Sounds good, like the fuel economy and ample trunk in front and back. No more words it’s time to drive, enjoy your Spring and Summer!

This car is me. Basic Porsche that has all the performance options included as Standard. Sport exhaust Sport Chrono Short shifter PASM suspension Torque Vectoring rear diff. You can't even buy some of these things as options on the S or GTS etc. It is no wasted money, It, is just what a Porsche should be "performance and nothing else." None of this power xyz option that cost an extra $5000 $10,000. If that's not for you then fine shop somewhere else. Lexus or Mercedes would love your money. Don't get me wrong you can buy a Porsche that not only cost a lot but also one that has thousands of dollars of options. But if you truly want to experience great performance, get a Cayman T or Carrera T and join the PCA, and register for DE "drivers education". There you can learn to drive one of these cars on a racetrack and learn the car and your own full capabilities.

My 718 Cayman GT4 is 27 months old and has 17,000 miles. I live in NE Ohio and drive it year round unless it too ugly outside. We have driven around home, to track days an trips up to three weeks at a time. Very comfortable, handling is great. I get 18 mpg around town and 25 mpg on trips. I also get lots of compliments. Great car!
