1985 Porsche 944 review
In '87 traded up from my 924, a lightly used '85. Loved that car, Guards Red & 5 speed manual. Handled incredibly well, and had it up to 130 (speedometer) on the NJ Turnpike once. Wasn't the fastest but nimble made it quick and I thought really good brakes. Saw many Corvettes disappear in the rear view mirror through the twisties in rural Virginia. It did develop a drive shaft problem & expensive repair. But I did most of the maintenance myself - changed timing belt, brake pads, oil, plugs, etc.

1983 Porsche 944 review
I've owned a dozen sport cars including 911s, the 944 beats them all. It makes a crummy driver like me look good. Forget power to weight ratio, torque is what you want. The 944 delivers everything. Mine increased in value $600- last year. Easy to work on and they don't rust. Step up to Porsche quality, you won't regret it. BTW I am a PCA CVR member and have enjoyed my 944T for 20 years.

1989 Porsche 944 review
I have wanted a 944 since the mid 80s when the came out. Back then they were one of the most expensive sports cars on the road and I honestly couldn't afford one while still in high school. But now I own 2. I have a 1984 944na and a 1989 944 turbo S. Saying they are fun to drive is an understatement..! The cars handle like a dream. For raw power, the turbo is the way to go. The bodies hold up great as far as rust and rot. I love my 944s and drive them daily. There is a large following for these cars and forums available for help and parts. The only negitive thing I will say is, they are VERY expensive as far as parts and you can be sure they will always need something. But once you guy one, you will never want to part with it.
