This is the car I always wanted to own since playing the monster arcade hit game N.A.R.C by Williams in 1988. WHY? I fell in love with those two guys jumping out of the red Porsche, but that Porsche itself was the 1988 911 Turbo! (funny, that when you jump out of the car, you can actually blow it up with your rocket launcher, haha!). Anyway, I paid a tremendous amount for this used and it was WORTH every single penny. NO car for the "reasonable price" of $100k I paid comes close in terms of value and styling and handling and raw power (the torque is insane!). Yes I know other cars would have gotten me close and certainly even beyond like a souped up gently used Corvette C7 at that price range but I like small cars and love the styling on the default 911 models, especially the Turbo :) Say no to drugs and yes to Porsche 911 Turbo!

Incredibly fun car, a blast to toss around in the corners. Not particularly fast cars but they age well and still look fantastic. The convertible top is just the icing on the cake.

The 2005 Boxster S is an absolute blast to drive. I have a giant smile plastered across my face after every drive. The only other car I've driven that was this much fun was another Porsche (1986 944 Turbo). My Boxster has been very reliable with no major issues to date. My only complaints are that anything I have done on the car is expensive and it has some annoying quirks. One example: If the battery goes dead, the heated seats and built in garage remote stop working until a "factory reset" is preformed (strange but true). This factory reset requires a computer scan tool that costs $1000s. So, a trip to the mechanic is in order after a dead battery. That is both a waste of my time and expensive.

All work required to make my vehicle repairs and checks complete and correct we’re performed to my total satisfaction while I waited in the comfortable customer waiting area as work was supervised under the outstanding guidance of Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. As a regular customer at the service department I always ask for the consistently courteous and flawless management of my vehicle requests by Oscar Galatia. Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. He also has a pleasing and satisfying way of dealing with all of his customers whom I have observed close up when I have regularly waited with other customers to have their vehicles worked on and returned. Because of Oscar and the work results he has managed and produced, I have frequently recommended Autobarn and it’s excellent service work and Service Advisor management to others who need a place recommended for consistently good prices, management, and charges. I suggest that management do whatever it can to retain the services of its multi-talented and perceptive Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. He is well trained, experienced, intelligent, and dedicated as I have seen first hand when he has worked with me. My car had the IMS bearing replaced. With that said it has been a very reliable car. I use it as an everyday driver and also on the autocross track for fun. It now has 75k miles and is still a very trusted driver. I love this car!

I've raced Porsches including GT3 Cup but this is my first street Porsche. My wife and I love convertibles for touring and I wanted a track capable car, too. A 911 will likely be next but I am really glad I started with my 718 Boxster GTS. The turbo four cylinder is outstanding with great power, especially down low torque, and we're seeing excellent fuel mileage. Some purists say it has to be the flat six but this car proves them wrong. I don't mind the sound at all, it reminds me of a wonderful air cooled Porsche. Love the performance, comfort and utility (two trunks!) of my 718 Boxster GTS and can't wait to get it on the track soon, too.

the Boxter handles like no other Porsche it may not have 911 power but I believe it handles better, a great car I highly recommend it

I own a 2018 GTS 718 Boxster. This is my 4th Porsche, I've had 2 air cooled 911s and first gen Cayman S. This is by far the best car I've ever owned. Everything about is perfect. Looks excellent, handles excellent, sounds excellent in sport mode with the sport exhaust. You can actually hear noises from the turbo. Excellent power. I've always had manual transmissions and this is my first PDK and it's excellent as well, it's so smooth, you'd think Carlos Santana tuned it. First topless Porsche, my others were all coupes. Tell this girl take her top off and she does it almost instantly, topless in about 10 seconds, even when jogging! Gets thumbs up and "daaamn" remarks by passer by's. It's one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. Extremely fun to drive. I feel lucky and honored to own this car. If you have the opportunity to get one, do it, you won't regret it. Even the base model is excellent, I driven them too!

I have owned old and new 911’s, including a 2004 911 Turbo, and my current 2006 Boxster Base with the silky smooth 5 speed manual has been the most fun to drive. Small, light, nimble, great exhaust note, etc. It’s just a well-refined, well-engineered and perfectly balanced roadster. I love it. My dad once said “The Germans will always be the world’s best toy makers, and he was right!”

This car is beautiful! We are so happy we got it, and it is so rare (only 500 sent to US). The color combination pf silver and chocolate brown is gorgeous and umique. We can't wait til summer to put the top down.

I have had 3 Boxster s over the years and this one for over 10. Loved every minute driving it. Great pick up and handling plus two trunks to allow for hauling things. A real head turner. Just need to maintain it for it to keep running well. I'm only selling mine cause we moved down a dirt road and its too rutted for a sports car. I got it for a great price, so letting it go for thousands less than it's blue book.

I bought my 2007 Boxster S about 6 months ago after totaling my 4x4 off-road truck. It was a massive change for me to switch over to a roadster, but I couldn’t be happier I made the switch. I purchased the car with 58k miles on it. Lots of Porsche owners say that’s a ton of miles for the cars, but mine feels just as tight, spirited, and smooth as some of the newer model Boxsters that I test drove. I haven’t had any issues with the car after putting about 5k miles on it, but I did have to replace the clutch, flywheel, clutch bearings, and pressure plate about a week after I bought it. I knew the clutch was worn out, so I worked that into the purchase price. I also had to replace a horn that went out. No biggie. The clutch on any manual will wear out after a while, and the previous owner either didn’t know how to drive a manual properly, or just rode it hard. I was pleased to find out that the 2007 Boxster S doesn’t suffer from the IMS issues earlier models did. I asked my mechanic to check it out while they were replacing the clutch, and he told me it was a non-issue in 2007+ models. I take it out for a drive every evening with the top down (it’s summer in ATL GA), and I can’t stop smiling driving it around. It’s the only car I’ve owned that I get excited about simply driving it to the grocery store. It certainly limits what I can go pick up at Home Depot, but to be honest, it has a surprising amount of storage space considering it’s a two person roadster. Sure it’s older... but owning one, I never feel like I’m driving a 12 year old car. Drives and handles better than 99.9% of 2019 sports cars I test drove before taking a chance on a 987 Boxster S. I did end up replacing all the speakers and audio head unit with a CarPlay enabled one, and installed a small subwoofer. The original Bose speakers were pretty bad. It sounds amazing now, even with the top down. I couldn’t be happier! I hope it lasts another 100k+ miles so I never have to stop driving it.
